He really does seem like he's from a different planet sometimes. He inhabits his songs like very few are able to. Jim Morrison and the Doors, one of the best bands. Thanks for including them. Love the channel ❤❤❤
Mojo Risin'," which is an anagram of his name "Jim Morrison". Doors drummer John Densmore later explained the story of the line: After we recorded the song, he wrote "Mr. Mojo Rising" on a board and said, "Look at this." He moves the letters around and it was an anagram for his name.
11:31 I would say "The Doors," were Blues-Jazz at their heart of all their songs. The problem with comparing them to Elvis is that Elvis was primarily Gospel-Blues.
I love The Doors and I hope you react ton some more of them, especially the live ones. Thanks for sharing one of my favorite bands ever and best wishes @all from germany !
I have been listening to this music for 50 years and I am still listening. I am now getting up in age and thoughts come to mind that time is running out on me, music has been the one consistent joy in my life, always giving me a place to remember that life can be good. I can see in you a real love of music, and what a joy it is to see you discovering this era.
Many of us who grew up listening to the DOORS .. oh! so wish this music was recorded in the late seventies, eighties. Unfortunately we lost Jim Morrison(the vocals) to a heart attack in Paris, France while taking a break with his girlfriend at the time in 1970 - '71. Jim was only 27. Jim is the one with the dark brown hair and real thick beard on the album cover.
They had an interesting dynamic as a band, because the three instrumentalists developed a really solid rapport and are very tight. When Morrison comes in, they sort of start to follow his lead, but not like it's three individual guys trying to follow him, but like it's one entity following and responding to him in sync...
Man it is so cool the technology of the internet era letting everybody discover music they might never have heard in normal times and cross cutural art being shared by differnt races, rap, hip hop, rock, country, classic, youname it is great to be abe to learn new things, right on fom a dinosaur from the 60s, 70s, rock on bro!
It's interesting to watch the change in Jim Morrison over those short years. How he rises and falls, is so tortured in his soul. So lucky to have him while we did, and to be able to carry him forward. So much good music, but some of it is very commercialized and I don't think Morrison cared for that at all.
There were fusions of many different genre's going on during this era. Hard to put a label on it. Many bands of the time refused to label their music with any genre. Especially this band.
Rock n' Roll is the common thread between Elvis and the Doors. Rock is comprised of pretty much every genre!!! 👌👌The Doors ad in a heapin' helpin' of amazing Psychedelic Rock!!!😉😉😁😁😜😜 Other Psychelelic rock bands are The Grateful Dead❤, Pink Floyd❤, The Beatles❤, The Birds❤, Cream❤, Jimi Hendrix❤ and many others great bands❤❤ Without a doubt you are going to enjoy the Journey for the rest of your life!!!👍👍👌👌✌✌😁😁
You might wanna check out Gary Moore’s Still Got the Blues if you like rock/blues guitar. He left this earth way too young. Check out the live version of you do.
Just curious why you have in your hashtags Neil Peart and Rush? They had nothing to do with the Doors. Don't get me wrong they were a great band and amazing drummer but they started after Morrison died and had nothing to do with the Doors. I'm sure Neil might have met one of the other three members of the Doors who were still alive after Jim's passing but just weird that you would use them in your hashtags. Mr. Mojo Risin is an anagram on Jim Morrision.
