RAP FANS FIRST TIME HEARING ARCHITECTS! “Seeing Red” | REACTION 

this song was made for people saying their old stuff is better than their new stuff (they used to be this heavy in their older work but have gotten more "soft" in their newer work and fans were complaining about it). Thats why there's the line "we only ever love you when you're seeing red" meaning fans only like when they were aggressive musically. The line "we'll make you royalty, we'll be the best of enemies" is basically saying "we liked you but now we dont".

What’s funny about this song is that this song is considered VERY basic and it kinda was in response to people saying “they aren’t heavy anymore” so they just basically just checked off all the Metalcore stereotypes, also because I don’t see any other people saying it but the “blegh” Sam does at the beginning was popularized by them in this genre and in their heavier music was quite prevalent, the blegh is a staple in this genre now and lots of bands use it now thanks to mostly this band. They’re kind of one of the goats in this genre.

"ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?" Architects man...absolute bangers. This song was made sarcastically to the "fans" who shit on them and complained about their change in style musically. They started out and got super popular off the heaviness with the "BLEGH" and the breakdowns. "We only ever love you when you make heavy/angry music"

With this song, it was a big F U to haters and fans who stated that they were no longer heavy, hence the crazy breakdown in this song with the, "Are You Happy Now." and the "Blegh" right at the begining of the song. Okay i rediscovered this band this year. I listened to the older stuff. Just to help kick start the brain juices. Honestly Animals is what brought me back to them. The chugging in the song just nakes me want to tear shit up. Lol. And seeing red makes perfect sense for a somg and life in general. I really connect with this song. I do with doomsday and when we were young. Along with Gone with the wind. Okay to be honest the band that i got into metal with is still Slipknot the redubt Album tilted (SIC). I listen to them still to this day. All out life bythem kicks Hard. Also im going to throw in Beartooth in-between, Agressive, Greatness or death, The Answer And Doubt Me along with the surface and riptide. 🤘😎🤘

This song is so sad in many different ways. First and foremost its pretty much them writing a messege to the other half of their fans. Because they turned their backs on the band while they evolved into who they are now. And to me probably the most powerful thing about this song, is that they are making it in their old style. But it doesnt sound like the old stuff because Tom isnt there to lead under sams vocals. It just doesnt sound like the old stuff and i feel like they are making a point by saying "hey we cant do that sound anymore, we can only hope to move on musically and evolve into our next phases of life." I will forever love this band. Old and New. Sams lyrics are at some points in my life were the only things standing between me and that shell that i turn into when shit comes back. But they will forever hold a place in my heart. I would say to listen to another one, do one on Nhilist by architects. Its by far lyrically the most impressive in my opinion. Much love from the US.

I love their older stuff. Lost touch a little as I moved into other genres over the last few years, but always come back to them. They deserve every accolade they get. I won't go back over the background of this song, because others in the comments already have, but I will say that the track was made with the collaboration of Mick Gordon, (he did the Doom 2016 soundtrack, which is full of absolute bangers). Anyway, Architects; Brighton band, lovely blokes, the singer Sam Carter is a Man United fan, they're very outspoken about their political and environmental beliefs, have ten albums now? Seriously, a band worth diving into the catalogue of, you'll find everything from ballads (Doomsday, Gone with the wind, Hollow Crown) right through to absolute monsters (Always, In Elegance, These Colours don't Run, Even if you win, You're still a Rat which also features Ollie Sykes from Bring me the Horizon). I'll stop gushing now, but please, more Architects.

They've got so many insanely good songs both on the heavier and softer side of the spectrum, older by rule of thumb being their heavier stuff. Meanwhile their more recent albums have gotten a lot of hate and apparently even made some people send horrific messages to the band as he brings up whilst screaming in this song "Gee thanks so much for the death threat". You know what I'm going to say... Lorna Shore. 😆 To the hellfire - This is their hardest song. My advice is think of the screams as just another instrument. Pain Remains Trilogy: Will emotionally rip you apart. Highly recommend. Just try to find the fan made edit. It's 3 songs, original videos, and lyrics overlayed. The story in the original videos + the music is a materpiece.

I'd highly recommend some of their older stuff, when their guitarist Tom Searle was the main songwriter. Gravedigger, Naysayer, Memento Mori, Gone With The Wind. All of these tracks have strong messages that I think you'd appreciate!
