Kanye shaped the 2010s before the 2010s even began wit 808s alone then dropped MBDTF which dominated the 2010s which is now the album of the decade...drake is runner up.

He has to I think he would still dominate the charts and be a big artist but not as big as he is if Wayne didnt put him on Lil wayne Wave was crazy back then
Looking back on this after “Honestly, Nevermind” Drake was telling us about how he love dance hall and Afro beats and how he wants to open up the genre so maybe it’s not so crazy that he dropped this album after all.
Its great that he dropped a dancehall/afro/house album, but that doesnt mean its a good dancehall/afro/house. He's done great songs with the same vibe, I love hotline bling for instance. But this album the songs themselves arent good, they all sound unfinished, like a demo tape.
when I heard “Honestly, Nevermind” I didn’t like at first tbh. Maybe because I didn’t expect it but it reminded me of “More Life” when I heard it and then I listened to it again and started getting used to it. I think people just need to stop hating on him because he’s to “overrated”. He’s a good guy who’s honest and makes good music
@@nacho3478 At first when I drank urine I didn’t like at first tbh. Maybe because I didn’t expect it but it reminded me of orange juice when I tasted it and then I drank it again and started getting used to it. Mate no.
@@nacho3478 I love him, I have OVO sweater and hoodie, my wallpaper is the OVO logo. I have all his albums. His music and vibe have got me through serious life challenges. Is he my idol, guess so but I dont make the mistake of idolizing him to a point where I cant say that this or that is garbage. Pretending aint love fam
absolutely he let himself get disconnected somehow, he had all the love when he was more tapped in and connected to the people through these types of interviews and artists too.
@@MistriiiMusic He clearly set this interview up and handed these guys the questions he wanted. It was right after the Pusha diss. There's nothing genuine about it
Huey Freeman what? Wtf,do u know him? Oh wait...fuck no,stfu b4 calling someone “gay” as some sort of “insult” which it ain’t. I ain’t no sjw but like stfu, stfu
Love the way Drake carries himself. Such a genuine guy who wishes nothing but the best for everyone. Toronto is lucky to have him. Truly one of the greatist artist of all time. Hes been around since i was a fucking kid. His longevity alone is super fucking impressive.
for the Kids Born between '85 - '89 maybe up to '92 even, Drizzy really captured the mood of Toronto and really relays that sentiment so well in his music and in this interview.. I remember when I heard him on Replacement Girl and the promise he showed... and then when I heard him on So Far Gone with my homie in the whip.... He gave me the same feeling I felt when I listened to HOV on Vol 2... I knew he would completely transform the game. I am genuinely so happy for all the Success he has received. He deserves ALL OF IT.
I have so many time stamps & memorable moments in my life bc of this man music w my high school sweetheart & just going thru the motions as a young man being a teenager a lot of beautiful experiences I really appreciate the music he created tht became the soundtrack to a large part of my life
Fr tho it's cause he becoming too powerful how the others feel they think lucian will turn his back on Drake if his credentials an credibility goes down which it won't they jus lookin dumb rn
@@dariusharris3252 facts, Kanye talking about, rich baby daddy 😂 like damn bro u that much of a hater,he also said he dnt like the way they on top 😂 big hater energy
Can we give credit to the interviewers for not interrupting him and letting the legend talk. Unlike these other interviewers that always gotta give their own opinion and talk over the rappers.
Drake is an amazing person! The way he does interviews & always seems very humble. The fact he still shows so much love for Wayne is incredible. He is so confident.
People really complaining about the length lol? The guy rarely does interviews....they are covering literally years of content and events and getting his commentary. This shit is great stuff.
Lol that's just not true, he has done jimmy kimmel, Ellen, jimmy fallon, netflix and more, someone who rarely does interviews is the weeknd, dude has only done like one or something - but ye personally i don't really care about the length
They do. & when someone continuously proves their greatness- society challenges that mostly in a negative way, as oppose to just accepting, & enjoying it
I think one of the reasons drake is so successful is because he makes sure to stay grounded no matter how good his music is. The fact that he still likes feedback before dropping something means that he hasnt let the success get to his head to where he thinks he doesnt need the people who are there to help him. Everyone needs help sometimes
I’m rewatching again and I will always be a drake fan!! Since Degrassi you can see this man’s growth and what he’s accomplished. The industry needs to give this man his flowers!!! He’s an amazing guy and artist and has always been humble, but your favorite artist can’t say the same
A1Joley yea it shows his excellence in language and English skills, likewise translating it into his music. Definitely one of the best writers of this decade hands down.
Dont forget Wayne also discovered and signed DJ Khaled, and how he is the most influential rapper of this generation along with Kanye and Keef (who grew up listening to Wayne)
People tend to forget that a lot of the reason why we fuck with Drake is cause of Wayne. we were all obsessed with Wayne so for his prodigy to be as successful, if not more, it's a beautiful thing. Drake different and his run is immaculate. from so far gone to for all the dogs this man does not miss
When we sit back and actually pay attention to what we’re witnessing from him we realize the greatness we’re living in. This interviews shows how special he is and the true artist he prides himself to be and the one we all love. He knows he’s the goat, he knows he’s a 1 of 1. No one does it like the boy and that’s just the facts. He had the greatest rapper of all time as his mentor that turned him into the greatest rapper of all time
@@malovina you missed the point, drake has always tried for years to give up the vibe that he had a hard come up. Nigga already had connections in hollywood when he was a child.
Drake- I make music that ages well. That's what makes him great. You can go back 5 years and play records from Take Care and it still feels fire. This man has perfected his craft!
@@shawnbirbhatti especially since they just let him talk. I hate when journalists cut off the answer to the question they asked. They just let him go on and we got so much more Bc of that
They asked very relevant questions.. its almost as if they did public research before they approached the boy.. and i love the comfortable atmosphere like no one is uncomfortable or making the other feel any kind of discomfort
@@user-pd9fe1vx3iI'm not arguing who won because there was a winner before it all started and that explains why you assert that someone else's opinion is honest
Classics are big artists first hits like drakes best i ever had or uptown them would be classics only the first ones because with age all classics become oldie but goodies
May Drake and all of you have the best year you’ve ever had in 2020. Sending everyone amazing energy and abundance. Edit: Wow, thanks for all the likes. I lost my job 4 months back and it’s been a little rough few months. Appreciate all the positivity.
What a classic, for what reason I am being introduced to Drake the person. I don’t know. I love how grounded and sold he is. This gift is amazing, I haven’t been involved in popular culture however I love music. Now connecting with modern technology. I am thankful for everything. 🎉
