Both are music. Just metal has talent because there's actual instruments played on stage. Not saying you don't need an ear to create music on a computer but learning programs is easier than learning guitar or drums and getting in sync with eachother
ik this is 2 years ago but don't forget to be a rapper like Eminem u need to be a god u need to have a computer in your head to ram the way he dose no other rapper in the world can do what he dose he doesn't even need a beat to rap he can free style right off the bat with out practice

Literally 100% of my school and all teens and kids I ever see are metal despising rap fans who even make gangs in school and blast rap music whenever they are on their way to school or going home. Many of them treat me like cancer and try to avoid me at all costs or try to harass me as much as possible (they literally would get out of important things just to tell me how much metal sucks and how much better rap is) once they find out I’m a metalhead. I’m like the only metalhead I know 😭
It’s so annoying when people walk around with Bluetooth speakers in their backpacks, but you can’t tell exactly who’s blasting rap at an obnoxious volume.

I'm a total metalhead, but honestly both genres are fuckin awesome. Both genres have lots in common, and have mixed many times before in the past. Sure most modern rap fuckin sucks, but lots of the older guys like Public Enemy and N.W.A are where it's at. Hell, Public Enemy played with Sonic Youth AND Anthrax before. That's pretty punk rock if ya ask me \M/

They even think producing rap beats take more talent than Metal instrumentals because they think all metal musicians do is mindlessly beat up their instruments while rappers specialize in programming -_-

metal will all ways be better and have the biggest concerts Eminem is the only rapper that ik that has almost the same size concerts as some metal bands every rap live iv ever seen the rap shows are all ways small af compared to metal
Both are on the same level, but metal does work better live. Because at a rap show, most of the time it's one person and a backing track. Vs metal which is probably 4 or 5 guys all playing instruments.
It really depends on what is better Metal has more talent because there are instruments being played on stage Rap has some talent too Some rappers can actually sing instead of shit autotune Also Joji if you heard of him On his new song Run he sings on a beat And then later there is a guitar solo

The worst part is that Eminem is actually in the better side of rap compared to the 90% of bad Rap songs, but is still nothing compared to 90% of metal bands
The most noticeable difference is actual MUSICIANS! Rock artists take pride in creating the music as well as the lyrics. Rap artists talk over pre recorded music or they just RIP off music from real songwriters and talk over THAT. I will admit that Rap is popular and an art form, but the real talent is in Rock.
The problem with pop, is that after the studio has fixed the album, they use autotune, now the problem with that is that it’s computer generated so it’s most of the time not even the pop artist singing. And another point, very few pop fans don’t even give a shit about the guitarist or whoever made the music part of the song, they only care for the singing, which is mostly fake.
I'm a metal fan, but this rap isn't bad soo.... and metallica is real trash now a days My opinion (16 year old boy) have never seen them live back in the days so dont @ me 😂
Old school Rap(1990s - early 2000s)=Best era of rap 2010 - 2020=Worst era of rap As much as I dislike rap I will admit the 1990s - early 2000s were the best years of rap but now rap sucks. Metal has always been good but I feel like it was 10X better back in the 80s but hey that's just me. Metal or Rap? The answer is obviously going to metal because not only the speed is intense but it also gives me that thrash energy. I love the sound of the guitars (bass included) and the drums, the lead solos are awesome, the vocals are amazing. Metalhead for life dude. 🤘
Every ones comparing the two but has anyone here heard of linkin park or rage against the machine or faith no more or korn or slipknot? Best of both worlds. I know most people dislike nu metal I’m just saying, a fusion of both genres is out there
no one but metal has rhythm and the lyrics are more traditional poetry than rap has ever been. James hetfield would probably do decently as a rapper, but I’d love to see Kanye west do a metal song.

Both great but i prefer hip hop Because i grew with it and it has Clear storytelling metal does tell stories but fuck my life i cant understand tf they are saying i grew up with hip hop but metal is great and i can see why people love it in this vid metal takes it because the hip hop part was shit
