Well done bro!

Very nice, have you ever thought of selling the boards with a list of components, this way you could recuperate some of your own costs👍, ESU lokpilot and loksound 5 have different setting on constant braking so 2 car DMU sets with can have different values for forward and backward 😊

I'm not sure about making my own kits with pre-packaged components to sell, I'd need to order a whole lot of stuff and do a lot of kit-packing. And there's also the risk that I order a hundred boards and the required components, and sell about 3 or something. I'm not ready to take that risk at the moment. This is still firmly a hobby for me, not a business. PCBWay do have a service where I could upload the board design and other people could order them from PCBWay, to be manufactured on demand -- sort of like how Amazon print books on demand. I am considering making the ABC PCB available through that service at the moment.

@@DongitsModelRailway I meant just supply the extra boards with a list of components don't supply it all, that way you only get genuine people. Just a thought after watching your video, all that aside up it up looks great

@@johnjmc If I put the boards up for purchase, there will definitely be a component list with it :-)

Well done, very impressed with your first foray into rapid prototyping. That is something I will certainly think about, the pcbs are affordable and a big timesaver if you have anything in volume, much better than veroboard. Best regards Stephen.

Are these pcb designs shared somewhere?

hi what diodes are you using i think i can see 4 1n5402 rectifier diodes but can't see the 5th thanks

The larger diodes can be any 1n540x. I've got a few different types, depending on what was cheapest at the time I was ordering them. As they are back-to-back, the worst reverse voltage they will see in normal operation is about 2-3v, and even in the event of failure it's circa 16v from DCC. Both well below the reverse voltage tolerance of any 1n540x, the lowest of which (1n5400) is 50v. The smaller diode to catch any spikes from the relay is a 1n4001.

@@DongitsModelRailway thank you very much for that information so all 5 diodes are the same ?

@@nicks5337 All of the ABC diodes are the same, yes. I think I might have finished up one batch from one supplier and moved on to another batch half way through building this module, so the markings may look a little different, as a result. Same diode though.

@@DongitsModelRailway thanks again time to do some experimenting
