To prevent bacteria from building resistance against antibiotics, animals and animal products in the Netherlands are tested for antibiotics. Researchers at Wageningen University & Research have developed a rapid test for the faster detection of antibiotics in animals. These tests show the results almost instantaneously. Esmer Jongedijk is one of the WUR researchers involved in the development of this test. In this video, she explains how these tests are performed.
