On Friday 8 March 2024, Wageningen University & Research celebrated its 106th Dies Natalis and the transfer of rectorship. This year's theme was: From Globe to Gut: Unravelling the Microbiome. The entire Dies Natalis 2024 can be viewed, including the opening by Prof.dr.ir. Arthur P.J. Mol, the lecture on microbiomes by Professor Nicole Dubilier, director of the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology in Bremen, the presentations by Alejandro Berlinches de Gea PhD, Hannah Augustijn PhD, Athanasia Ioannou PhD, the Research Awards and the transfer of rectorship from the current Rector Magnificus Arthur Mol to the new Rector Magnificus Carolien Kroeze.
