I would say go on with review .. But gotta be modest. I drive N scale but German orientated; life in the Netherlands. so at all not the kind of potential customer to listen too. But just share the dedication for N scale Trains. Great video guys..
Hey really cool video! I have one of these as well, I had a question about the front coupler situation. I was hoping you know a way to get the front nose cap off? Because it looks like it will just be breaking it I'm afraid to break it honestly haha! - I know when the manual it says some kind of jokes about having a large coupler looking ridiculous I understand that, I'm just interested in getting that nose cap off and even having a cosmetic smaller coupler just so it looks prototypical to the way it was run on the Hudson line during the mid-90s. The other question is did you have a bag that came with it? Cuz I keep hearing people supposed to have a little package of bits.. I didn't receive any and I know a couple people that did not receive their packet either I'm just wondering if it happened for you. Thanks very much and a great video as usual!
Neat, looks like you got the DC version! I looked at the front coupler situation, and like you I was leery of damaging it. After we released the RU-vid video I needed to take it off the track for a short time. When I put it back it wouldn't move, which of course freaked me out that I had somehow ruined this brand new model. In the end I discovered that when coupling I was pushing down on the wheels, dislodging them from the trucks. No bit deal, it runs beautifully. But I was so unsettled that I did'n't dare look at the front couplers. As for the bag of bits, we did not get one either. One of our customers bought the HO DCC/Sound version, and he got a bag of stuff and he says the front coupler housing is not hard to remove. He says that there are differences between the versions for each scale. He says that the N strobes are brighter than the HO, and that he thinks his HO interiors are too dim. I think the N is a tad too bright, so perhaps a middle ground would have been best. But my customer has been very pleased with his HO Turboliner, and the N Scale one you saw in the video has found an honored place on the store layout. Sure grabs attention!
