You dont condone men wearing make up, i dont condone this attack on individuality. Im absolutly not okay with the very idea of "toxic masculinity" because honestly there is just toxic behavior to me. And not every behavior descriped by them, is actually toxic. Like having and therefor showing chest hair is not toxic, is just having hairy genetics on a hot day. Its also very hypocritical and the movement that fight against it wants to "have their pie and eat it to" because they fight for the "right" of woman not to have to shave...but also demand men shave their chest. HOWEVER, the notion of not condoning men wearing make up...is ridiculous and has nothing to do with "masculinity" make up wasnt even invented for woman, it was made for everyone. "Makeup dates all the way back to 6000 BCE, starting with the Egyptians. They created it as they believed makeup was next to godliness and that it appealed to the Gods; both men and women of all social classes wore makeup." Its only later in that we IN THE WEST decided make up is only for woman, MANY asian cultures including indian. Still have make up for both genders as a part of their culture. Saying that you "dont condone men wearing make up" is ridiculous because what does it actually hurt you? Now if they were fighting to walk around naked, which people are actually doing, fighting for the "right" to walk around naked all the time. I get it, this is something that impacts you and the raising of your children. Nudity is a stimulus, its a active sexual stimulus. Make up isnt...its just make up. So what does a men, wearing make up...actually do to you? Its his life, he has to feel comfortable... Plus again, what if its just a part of his culture... Or what if he simply likes it, does it really hurt you? Does it even really impact you at all? Again there are always lines to be drawn, but id rather they be drawn based on scientifical bounderies. Than personal likes and dislikes, because lets be honest you dont condone it because you believe it somehow "devalues" your masculinity. Which again culturally and historically it doesnt...it doesnt do anything but be. The same as a hair cut or jewelry...i mean lets not slip back to those weird days were people actually thought someone was gay if they had a ear ring in JUST there left ear lobe. For something as beneighn as that, you must be gay. For something as beneighn as wearing make up, you must be less of a men? People are individuals, make up doesnt hurt you, but it sure can help them feel better about the giant zips on their face because of puberty.
