The song "Comfortably Numb" during their 1994 Pulse concert the live version!!! If you want to see a show with Pink Floyd using 98 million dollars worth of lighting and sounding equipment in 1994 dollars pushing 233,000 watts of power through the sound system and lighting!! That song looks like the end of close encounters of the third kind!
Those are electronic keyboards/synthesizers you're referring to my friend. They can take on a variety of different sounds depending on the setting. Pink Floyd are as amazing lyrically as they are musically . One of the most creative and influential bands in rock history. Also one of the best selling. Their music has a relevancy that has withstood the test of time. "Comfortably Numb" studio version by them next.
I agree with others here, you need to checkout their 1994 Pulse concert, enjoy the visuals with the music, consider doing the entire concert in segments, I'm sure you will enjoy every minute !! You are entering the Pink Floyd rabbit hole, it runs deep and I'm sure you will enjoy the journey my Friend, their albums are meant to be listened to nonstop from start to finish, each song blends into the next and will bring your Heart, Spirit and Soul into harmony, Please checkout the Pulse concert as many have suggested, God Bless
This is the title track from the album Wish You Were Here As an "older" PF fan I would always recommend doing an album as Side 1 / Side 2 but at least in track order. So you should start this album with "S hine on Y ou crazy D iamond (Part 1 - 5) Having said that, if you are completely new to Pink Floyd then a good "introduction" track would be "Money" Audio only version from the album The Dark Side of the Moon. And yes it means pinching a track right out of the middle of the album but it's such a classic example of Pink Floyd 😉
This video you reacted to was largely 'fan art'. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Pink. Euhm... Pink Floyd! I'll subscribe and experience my favourite band once more like the first time through your eyes. Pink is... sorry, Pink Floyd is not a band to listen to in 'shuffle play' though. Their best (1970's) albums tell a story from start to finish. So individual songs may not aways make the most sense outside the context of the album.
