As CBS2's Kevin Rincon reports, it was at a busy shopping plaza on River Road where a little after midnight police say a 21-year-old man was shot. CBS2 has since learned that man is rapper Lil TJay.

i use to rap, alot of my friends rap, but its a fact that rap/hiphop is the most toxic genre. look at yung thug and gunna.... rich men (millionaires) catching rico charges.. its the most judgemental genre, most victimizing genre, most violent genre YET---- is the number 1 genre still.... u dont see pop stars shooting eachother, you dont see country stars killing eachother.

I've heard a song or 2 from the kid and realize how many ppl hopped on his wave.. but his music just isn't something I vibe to very much. With that said I pray he keeps pulling through, I know alot of ppl count on him and I've seen the humility he's expressed and it made me a fan of his character above all else.
So many shootings and assaults. We live in a very dangerous world. Since he is a celebrity as well as others should take precautions and dont let their guard down. Hope he recovers soon.
@@boyasia5874 I’m gonna say I’m from Russia, but lets take the war and hate away. Russia is pretty safe these days non of the russians have to carry knifes or guns. Guns can be owned after 22 years of age and getting a gun license requires alot of medical tests and mental condition. And personally i fell really safe walking in Moscow it don’t matter what time it is.

This is very sad. In the humble beginning of Rap, this did not go down. The artist was not being shot and killed like this. All of this hate and jealousy because of envious people is so evil. Now everywhere you turn there is a rapper being targeted. Praying for his speedy recovery.

I kno what it's like jus got out the hospital after 3 months than an old folks home learning how 2 walk being 32 in those places makes u realize how lucky n blessed u are. We seen this before in the late 80s with the gangster rap artist glorifying the gangster lifestyle and guns and East Coast versus West Coast it took the top rappers coming together to put an end to it nowadays with the Internet you got too many of them you’ll never get that again and I see the same patterns I seen on MTV in the late 80s on RU-vid now it ain’t the jewelry you’re wearing it’s the word you’re propagating
