Eminem has huge respect for Joyner Lucas, he even said it himself that he should have won a Grammy for "I'm Not Racist". For an artist as big as Eminem in the rap game, giving that respect to Joyner is a big deal, and I can understand that. Joyner is a true lyricist and amazing rapper. I'm glad Eminem gives him the respect he deserves.

@Theo Freres Joyner debuted in 2007 but he has the attitude and talent of OG rappers like Eminem~ I'm sure Joyner said that Eminem is his biggest influence I can't remember but he is like the Eminem of the newer generation. He's is on the level of Em and even Royce no joke.

No, Eminem had a crazy rhyme scheme while straight baring and punching, throwing great wordplay and flowing masterfully. Not to mention that he was mirroring Joyner's story in first few lines, and picked up with his side of the story and straight murdered the beat after.

The video is basically talking about the rap game as a whole. The destruction represents just how broken the rap game is now, filled with these mediocre new rappers, and the destruction of the old hip hop, and Eminem and Joyner are the only ones that can save it. The dudes with the red eyes represent the rappers who are just following the old rappers and mimicking them, but they know they will never be like them in terms of lyricism and skill.

I've been a rap fan since I was old enough to choose my own music, but, I'm more a metalhead than anything else, so, I'm nowhere near as educated on the current state of rap and the culture and how its changed. There are reactors that are great at catching hidden meanings like metaphors and double/triple entendres, and there are reactors that are great at analyzing the flows and rhyme schemes. Nah, Joyner did really good. While I love Em, in this track, they were both seamless. They work together really well, as well. I would say that this was basically them both producing two different raps that were opposite of each other, but flowed seamlessly together.

Great reaction bro! Thanks for the break down. One thing I think can be pulled from the video is if you notice the "copy cats" were doing everything that Em was doing but when he started rapping fast they were in the air and couldn't mimic him. When he return to the slow cadence the "copy cats" came back to the ground and started moving like him again. I think symbolizing that the industry can copy some of EM's style but there's a level to EM todays hip hop cant copy. I don't know. I could be reaching but that's what I pulled from it.

Hey Knox. I‘ve watched a lot of your eminem-reactions now, because I am from Germany so my English is‘nt that good to catch many of his lines.. I mean how should I? He is a lyrical monster and even people that are speaking english did‘nt catch everything. *The one line Eminem says in his verse that is very underrated & criminally overlooked by every person on RU-vid that reviewed this track is the simple line when Em says "They Have The Inability To Pen Humility". I haven't seen a single reactor catch the other "I got a couple of mansions" reference. Joyner had a song called Mansion where he asks "What I gotta do to go and buy me a mansion?" and Em is obviously saying he already has two keeping with the theme of Joyner is in one place and Em is in another.
