As a diehard metalhead there is sooo much music out there worthy of a listen/breakdown. I honestly wish there were more time in a day in order to enjoy more of it lol. That being said.. One of my favorite artists is 'King Diamond' .. his albums are concept albums/horror stories where each song continues the story. His vocals are a mix of lows and highs/falsettos depending on the character in the story that is speaking or being sung about. It can be a little jarring if you are not used to it or do not like the vocal style. A great song to listen to is 'Sleepless Nights' off of the 'Conspiracy' album.. it relates a part of the story where the protagonist is awake at night because of the spirits/ghosts.. one of which is his little sister who died in the previous album (THEM). Failing that, the song 'Abigail' from the album 'Abigail' is another popular one.. it is an older album than THEM/Conspiracy but also a concept album itself. Definitely enjoy your breakdowns of the metal you have listened to because you 'get it' on a level which most non-metalheads cannot comprehend. I tip my hat to you.

You want bars, like poetic, deep, touch your soul lyrics, you want more MetallicA, and this isn't computer generated music, these are real people, playing real instruments, with a sound like nobody else, and later years and modern day, they sound even better and those who say they don't, you ain't Metallica fans, you're just thrash fans, this band, is still going and making new music 43 years later. 1st band to play on every continent, played a show in the 90s 1.6 million people in Russia, heavy hitters without the costumes, distorted vocals, high pitch screaming, and make up, just raw energy, raw talent. Long live MetallicA 🤘

@KnoxHill the era with Cliff Burton as the bassist until he tragically passed,is the OG Rabbit hole.... The 1980’s Metallica guitar rifts are still impactful in 2024 just as they were when the albums was released. This groups albums through 1988 are the best I listened too. It’s cool to see many artists in the metal after 2000 use Metallica as an inspiration and influence, it’s easy to see why. The 88’ album was the first Metallica album I heard. I was born in 1985. Still a fan of the 1970’s and 80’s metal today.

For a fantastically realistic take on war there are some great songs out there. Motorhead - 1916 Eric Bogle - The Band Played Waltzing Matilda These are both about the 1st world war, and they don't hold back. The Motorhead Track is like nothing they've played before, a change of pace for them for sure. the song is about the Battle of the Somme. The Eric Bogle track is about the Aussies at Gallipoli. Both tracks are raw and hit you in the feels.

This song its part of an unoffcial "Soldier triology" followed by Disposable Heroes and One. Would be nice to follow up on those for the theme. But just in general when metallica its on their game bordeline unbeatable. Personally would be really cool doing Children of Bodom (my favorite band) Are you dead yet? or Northern Comfort. Or Shogun era Trivium, thinking "Torn Between Scyla and Charibdys" or "Insurrection" would be fun ones to pick on.

React to their other songs “The Frayed Ends of Sanity” & “Dyers Eve”, both from their record And Justice For All…

With being such an enthusiast of lyricism, would absolutely love to hear your interpretation of Orion from master of puppets 😎

Don't know if someone have asked this yet, But I want to suggest Stupendium, A RU-vidr that have done a lot of game inspired Rap songs. I Would suggest starting with the 2 songs he have done on Frostpunk and Frostpunk 2. Specifically "Shelter from the storm" and "The Ark and The Tinderbox".
