And showcase of how good the ordinary listeners in a country appreciate musics.this genuine art were not granted first place by the way. So,you know what I mean...
3:35 : A father's love. Tengri is singing this song to his young daughter who sadly has passed away. The lyric is about his love for his homeland but really he is expressing his love for her, how much he misses her and the sorrow he feels. As you can see here, he held his pain in and tried to keep a smile while singing, but this singing from the heart broke through all that. And I felt it. Can you feel it too?
I was so impress by the show The Singer.. I watch the whole contest of 2017 - 2018 - 2019 ... Quality and respect.. the singer can sing their whole song, no cuts like in America. I discover Dimash in 2017 then Hua Chenyu and Tengger in 2018 then Super Vocals and others in 2019. I am retired so I have plenty of time to do so lollll! Tengger (Tengri) is amazing, Hua Chenyu and him have mutual respect for each other. 1st time I saw Tengger , I could easily see him in a chinese movie or in a Tintin book (if you know Tintin ) he is amazing! Thank you for this reaction, he give me goosebumps too. Bye Bye!
So glad you love Tengri!!! That was the traditional Mongolian Throat singing in the beginning! And Tengri's singing method is also traditional Mongolian...It looks like he's singing through clenched teeth! He wrote this song to mourn the death of his daughter at a young age, but also the loss of the environment in Inner Mongolia... The one host who was crying , it's because he's Mongolian... Now you have to react to Hua Chenyu's version of "heaven" that he did for another Chinese show where Hua Hua had only 24 hrs to redo Tengri's "Heaven" ... And then you need to react to Dimash and Tengri's duet - Swan Goose!!! Love your reactions!!
Tengri wrote this song in 2007. In the original version the sadness in the song is only about lost of beautiful homeland. His daughter passed 3 years later. I 50% agree with you. In this 2018 version of heaven, the style changed a little and can feel the 2nd level of pain which is the lost of daughter in my opinion.
@@lipeijackohara ive been followinf tengger for a few years now, and its seems like you have a lot of misinformation, tengger wrote this song in 1997 and his beloved daughter passed away 8 years later, and the crying co host JiJie isnt mongolian, he is of Yi ethnic from Sichuan province, the polution in inner Mongolia is result of over mining which started around 2003 after China joined the WTO, then reached its peak at 2010.
Tenger or Tengri, is a Chinese singer, songwriter and composer of Mongol ethnicity. He is singing about missing Mongolia. This is the meaning of the song he is singing: I see a blue sky, Over a green lake, Vast is the grassland, This is my homeland. Horses running wild there, Sheep as white as snow, My girl, wait for me, Where my heart’s at home. I love you, my homeland, My homeland, my heaven. I miss you, my homeland, My homeland, my heaven. I see a blue sky, Over a green lake, Vast is the grassland, This is my homeland. I love you, my homeland, My homeland, my heaven. I miss you, my homeland, My homeland, my heaven.
It is so amazing to see the reaction from people from different culture and tradition. I wish the world can be inter-connected by people from different culture and tradition regardless if they are from the East or West rather than destroyed by wars and conflicts mostly initiated by the US and NATO.
@@MaceAroundTheWorld if you loved the throat singing and instruments, check out Mongolian folk rock/metal band The Hu's Yuve Yuve Yu or Wolf Totem (both w/english subtitles). Just like Tengri, they fuse folk and rock music (Tengri was in a rock band when he was younger).
The song is about the singer´s hometown. Lyrics: The blue sky... The clear lake... The green grassland... Here is my homeland. Handsome horses running... Holy white sheep... And you my girl... Here is my homeland. I love you!!! My homeland!! My home!! My heaven!! Hoo~~(Wolf growl) Let everything be natural.
I requested in a comment! Lol. Anyway, he's awesome. Glad you called him Tengger too instead of the incorrect "Tengri". Tengger is my father in law's favorite singer. Sang it a few tears ago at karaoke with him in China. Fun times.
Just saw this comment. I can imagine the fun you have with this song. There are just so many amazing songs in china which I wish the western world get to hear. 😊
Hi there. TENGRI is phenomenal!!! I've been telling everyone about him... TENGRI is singing about his homeland in Mongolia...as you can see he's VERY, VERY passionate and VERY, VERY proud... Just like DIMASH and his homeland, Kazakhstan... 👏👏👏 WOW!! Have you seen DIMASH and TENGRI singing Swan Goose??? What a fantastic duo👏👏👏 They're mutual respect is AWESOME 🤗
the instruments is called "Morin Khuur" mongolian traditional instrument. And intro is throat singing called "KHOOMEI" same like mongolian throat sing. And you should check the The Hu"
Throat singers begin...then the very popular Teng Ge er begins to sing of his home which is wode jia in pinyin...ten tong is Heaven...so he is singing of the Mongolian plains...where they herd sheep and raise horses..they live in the big tents called yurts so they can move with the good pasture land....Teng Ge er is popular in KTV places where people go to sing...so even though I am an American who spent 14 years in China teaching ESL...I know this song very well...I always cry...it reminds me of the Chinese friends I made...mostly among my students...over 5000 students in 14 years...some classes were very big..my largest class was 180. Wo ai ne...yes that is I love you..in pinyin...great reaction dude.
That Whhoooo part almost is the sound Tengger taught Hua. Hua incorporated it in one of his song in the competition. Both admired each other's artistry. Tengger came in later in the competition and did very well. Loved his other performances.
This song: 天堂 Heaven will make people cry 😭 It reflects the human race's deep desire to go HOME. Many people are lost in the maze of the existing Beast System and find it hard to go back HOME. Pray for the world. God Is Love! 佩(贝)玲 with Christ 🙏🏻💕🌻🌏💕🌈
This is so beautiful. And like you, I crack up at Hua Hua's facial expressions throughout this entire song :P Please react to Hua Chenyu's rearrangement of this song from the TV show The Next. He was given this song and had 24 hours to rearrange it into his own style. It's very different, but soooo beautiful - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rOlgjdojGm0.html
He is singing about his country Mongolia - in Chinese because he lives in Inner Mongolia - a place where in Southern Mongolian where China took control from Mongolia and all of his emotions of losing his fellow people and and daughter, nature all of that pain and struggle throughout his life he endured is fully depicted thru his emotions in this song
Zither is a horizontal instrument as far as I know, but I'm not Chinese either so I don't know what instrument is. I think/sounds like it's a version of a bass and violin.
it is a morin khuur, and it's my favorite instrument as well. in chinese it´s called " horse head fiddle" because it always gets a wooden horse above it. when it plays always reminds me the endless, peaceful mongolian prairie and numerous horses. there are also invincible warriors, all girls are good at dance and sing . Sometimes sad lonely. The prairie is too big, between the heaven and earth, you are always the only one Try it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1jpOLHH06yU.html
Now you heard the original version from Tengger, it would be interesting to check out the cover/rearrange by Hua Chenyu. The song was picked for him on another TV show and he had only 24hrs to rearrange and perform on stage. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VrJGgiVPEBE.html
beginning of the show. The instruments are called chinese 2 string fiddles and 1 string fiddle.(classic chinese instruments have more than 60 types which you will never know or seen. too profound and too cultural for americans to understand. hhaaa.... I am Taiwanese , and i sing like Zhou Shen and this guy. big contrast of voice?? America do not give asians enough to show any talents at all such as at Hollywood or Grandmi awards. In reality, there are 20 times more talents than in western countries. but u white guys never give us chances. i am Taiwanese living in UK , europe for the past 28 years, been to about 25 coutries in the world. dare i comment on this.. BUt this is the truth.
Teng Ger Er is his name, which should be three syllables as "təŋ“ ”gə“ ”ər“ when you say it. He is a singer from Inner Mongolia in China and he is a mongolian. HEAVEN is a song he wrote in 1997 when he was 37 years old, and HEAVEN refers to the grassland of his hometown in Inner Mongolia. But the show in this video happened in 2018, that was 8 years after his 6-year old daughter died of some kind of congenital disease. So i think his feelings in this singing must be different from the earlier's, which might mix the love for his hometown and his little daughter, and that's why many female listeners are deeper moved by this version than male listeners.
This is my favorite performance on Singer 2018. I have listened to it so many times already but your goosebumps experience reaction made me having goosebumps again 😂😂
Tengri was in a concert in China in the same week as the Twin Towers destruction. After hearing about 9/11 he dedicated Heaven to those who suffered and perished.
Wow...!!! Great reaction, thank you... I felt the same way !!! That's the way I usually do with Dimash, I love Dimash - but this song, this man is also incredibly touching, deep, real and moving .. Greetings from Germany
he's from Inner Mongolia which is part of China. and he's name is not Tengir, but it's his stage name! (tengri means GOD) only thing is chinese is the language! but the rest! such as emotion! music ! blood! impression and expression is all Mongolian! if you ever think this is cool, you gotta watch THE HU!
