This breaks my heart. I grew up in Pasadena and life was good. This gang stuff is hurting our youth. I hope this kids wake up and try to build not destroy. I still have love for DENA.
+betty lando it breaks my heart as well as I know too many young folks that died from gang violence! Dena was good depending on what part of town you lived(I'm from E/S which was safe until 93/94)
It's been around since the 80's maybe a little before , the villa boys , PDL , ABC , VPR above the north of the freeway west of lake always been like this , used to be worlds worse from what I hear
I used to live in pasadena as a shorty it was kinda rough bacc den idk about anymore Them apartments on Garfield i stayed in bacc in da late 90s, and the apartments off Carlton, both was active onna hood
God bless you guys, I love Pasadena I love real people like these guys, They say it like it is, from Webster to Elliott to Marshall I know all the homeies I know their families got love for them all.
I grow up in Pasadena I used to live on clairemont& sunset across the the streets from the project's, but I grew up in Villa Boys neighbor in 79 throw 99 it was a war zone in Dena back then with 8 different Latino gangs at war and the Raymond Ave crips, and p9s but but the crazy thing is the white man knew there was money in those neighbor s we were fight for, And what happened all over night brown and black male's started going to jail the city start buying house dirt cheap and selling them for over half of million and now that's what's happening in LA, don't believe me check who is buying house in low in coming house s
On point, hipster movement, minorities killing each other, bringing the property value down while pushing all black and brown to the dessert. I E, Lancaster, Vegas, etc. I grew up in Dena since the 70s, seen the crack era in the 80s, killing relationship between all, blacks on blacks, blacks vs Latinoes, etc. Its ez to throw a bone in the hood and see us fight for that beef, instead of teaching the youth that if you break it in half we can all eat. I grew up in Pasa next to my Black brothers as well. Division came when greed hit the streets with that base, it took everyone down, turning everyone against each other including our own. The prisons were flooded and politics evolved behind walls and created pockets of human hate between rivals and our own kind. Things are settling down, and I see diversity, but make no mistake, itd ez to start back up because we are not used to change in our communities, and that is the problem. No one wants to see respect to one another, because fear of unity is what they dont want in order to push us back in areas they want. To get rid of the trash in the back yard is to clean it up by raising prices and taking away affordable housing, aka no rent control.#onelove This is why is so important for OGs to lace the youth , that banging has not got no one any profit, but banging with the books and understand that we all share the hood and starting diversity with an open mind will give the youth a chance prosper. I am Mexican, and I have 3 black children, never have been prejudice, I grew up were it was simple in regards that most fights were just rivals with their own race, yes there will always others outside of rivals from other races. May God bless all in Dena, moved in Dena in 1977, seen it all. #unity #lovethyneighbor 🤝
I remember living in Pasadena back in 06,07 I had run in with PDLB everyday but I cool with OGs from there I use to walk through Snake Pits and King Manners and them niggas would be out deep asf
I knew a lot of the homies. Which will remain nameless, always showed me love. Knew all the 9s wasn't a lot of them but they put in work, remember how and when they started as Hustler. He right they didn't give a f. R.I.P to the homies i herd or knew who dropped. All good cats. They didn't go looking it always found them. Just so you know Pasadena Love U.
+Chief Sosa Wanted 2 Go Mcdees hrll naw cali reall berious bout gang indictments & they doinh da rico act if you apart of a gang an get caught up 15 too Life
V8 baby mama Alison got that clapper too. She remember that drunk night we had on my birthday after I took her and V8 son to Apple Bee's and we shared that 2 for 20. That was one of the best nights of her life since all V8 used to do was take her to McDonald drive throughs and buy her stuff on the value menu and still complain about cheeseburgers being $2. If he knew better he would've did better that's why he out here with no job, no car and nothing to show for that fake rap career he temporarily had. His baby mama tell me everything when I come over and she cook me and the lil homie tacos.
Garfield & Washington right here, Pasadena used to be crazy back in the 80's & early 90's... But then again all of LA was, RIP to my ninja Jessie James Shamburger! Damn time fly's...
Bro Pasadena is nice asf. I used to fuck with a lil female that lived right up the street from this park. Went by all times of night and never seen not even a fight or niggas banging. Just some foos sellin weed n shit
Yall got the PDL's fxcked up lol go to they hood & think shit is sweet if u want to, what yall n199as dont know PDL's is deep & control half a Pasadena smh out of town n199as
if you don't mess around nothing will happen to you but there's been a few times that I had a gun pulled on me for no reason when I was just walking especially if you're walking around in Altadena on certain streets.
Most of yall talking down on pdL haven't been to Pasadena and haven't even met no one from the js PDL is a strong relevant hood that at least got LA and prison ties all you other hoods ain't got no plugs
nothing really happens in Pasadena i remember one day i was rolling thru Pasadena at 2pm it was quiet and at night time its chill same goes for altadena its pretty chill at times nobody really banging in the Dena anymore lmao
Desert Fox nobody got time to kill anybody or fight in the Dena most dudes in the dena got kids they working the gang /thug life is slowly dying yeah somebody gets killed in every city but that street life is for the birds everybody got better shit to do than fight or kill somebody nowadays
i grew up in Pasadena it is a beautiful city but dont let that fool you. the guys that they were talking about (the Halloween killing) beat that case the police lied
+Moody Hyadd Some Bangers shot up some little kids on halloween. They were killed while trick or treating. Repping that shit makes me sick to my stomach. SMH not even Tony Montana kills kids.
I was out there in the early 90s when shit was real bad. Shootings at John Muir, stabbings. Seems like the new cats are more into semi organized crime now and so a lot more inconspicuous about their dirt. Back in my day they were sloppy with it, attracting too much attention and making the whole city hot for everybody.
My uncle used to take me to this park when I was really young and then I went there to play basketball after my first year of college there was a bunch of little kids saying blood and what not to be honest Altadena and Pasadena are 3-10 Minutes apart and I've been in Altadena and Pasadena all my life and I really don't think its that turn't up like that at all. The Kendrick boys murder I remember that, My mother was related to the mother of the boy and she went to his funeral
Oh my god.....i live in the projects across the street fuck when i was six i went to the park in summer they will give you breakfast i still live there i swear
Marquis Goldsmith should've been a professional trackstar because that's all he ever did was run from fades and live behind his daddy Big Fidge name, him and his brothers. I used to slap burgers outta Trahlon hands everyday at school and run through his pockets when the teacher wasn't looking now all of a sudden he's a super blood. These dudes kill me 😂.
I was in the 6th grade. I lived on Villa between Catalina & Wilson, Reggie stayed on Mar Vista, & Stephen lived on Wilson. Reggie & Stephen were the homies.
All busters though. The one in the striped shirt name is Davon Jackson he got raped by his big homie that's why he can't sit still, he stay feeling the urge.
Don't forget about the Original West Side my Nigga. One of the Original black neighborhoods in LA is around the area of Jefferson High School in South LA east of the 110 freeway. Stymie from the lil rascals tv sitcom attended Jefferson High school. East Side/Watts is Original even way before the Crippin took over the streets of LA. Its home to the 1965 Watts Riots! Compton started crippin after the West Side! Tookie who is a Original West Side Crip from St Andrews Park home of the 83rd street gangsta crips or eight trey gangstas started the Crippin in Compton. Compton is a independent city in southern LA county that became popular for black folks in the late 1960's and 70's due to becoming a majority black suburban city and in 1969, electing the first black man (Douglas Dollarhide) to become the mayor of any metropolitan city in the state of California. The West Side consist of South LA west of the 110 freeway, Gardena, Harbor Gateway (LA City), Hawthorne, Athens/Westmont (Unincorporated LA county). The Inglewood Crips Started around the Same time as the West Side Crips! Raymond Washington's cuzzin started the Inglewood Crips according to Bare Foot Pookie who is a Original West Side Crip! Raymond Washington started the BABY Cribs on the East Side in South LA east of the 110 freeway which eventually became known as the Crips! The East Side Crips consolidated with the Street fighting Gangs (Smaccs) on the West Side to form the West Side Crips at the Rio Theatre on Imperial and Western in Dub C's hood in the early 1970's! The consolidation was also made official at Sports man park (Currently Jesse Owens Park) on Century & Western in South West LA, and at Washington Preparatory High School located in an Unincorporated section of South LA (Athens/Westmont) west of the 110 freeway. Dub C's hood started the Original Neighborhood Crips on the Rollin' 100's card which caught on from the Rollin' 40's, 60's, & 90's, Neighborhood Lynwood, & Compton Crip sets. Even West Covina. The first West Side Crip Sets were the Under Ground Crips and the 113 and 107 Blocc Crips. The Raymond Ave Crips are one of the Original West Side Crip Sets. The Raymonds are in South West L.A. and have a chapter in Inglewood and Pasedena, California. The Hoover Groovers were Grooving on the Westside prior to becoming Crips. Afterwards, the majority of Hoover's eventually later on became Criminals! A few niggaz from Harlem NY started the Harlem God fathers which eventually became known as the Rollin 30's Harlem Crips! DJ Pooh's hood is the Original Water Gate Crips in GHETTOTHORNE, CALIFOOLYA! The 119th street Water Gate Crips later became part of the Rollin 100's card and even became the one and only known LA Crip gang to start a Crip chapter in Santa Ana, Orange County, California. Gardena Shot Guns are an original West Side Crip set along with the Gardena Pay Bacc crips which is a spin off from the LA Pay Baccs. Pookie even started the Long Beach Insane Pay Baccs. Always pay homage to the niggaz that was there on day one!
This side of the park is pretty nice, the other side ain't. So many homies and gangs be coming there. It gets active. If you think Pasadena is all about nice shit and stuff, nah it gets active. People are just hesitant to let people know what really goes on here
He was way smaller huh? He fat asf now with no money, no car, and his rap career flopped. He sit on Peoria all day eating Popeyes now trying to figure out his life. Sad smh
That kid wasn't in a gang he was killed because of a lie, the boy saw the police and freaked out which anybody would be afraid if cops pointed a gun at you in the middle of the night, I agree I went to that park and that had kids saying blood this and blood that didn't even know jackie robinson was like that
