Great reaction - and Su about 5' 6" hahaha ... anybody who has seen them play live can tell you she is at least 10 feet tall when she is on stage ... but in real life she is somewhere between 5'1" and 5'2". And yes Smokey got it, she is currently 23.
@@TheRobsam They really aren't. All the official numbers on the Amuse website and info from anywhere else have Su at somewhere between 5'1" and 5'2" and Moa is an inch or so shorter, not 4 inches (not for a long time anyway,she may have been 4 inches shorter when they started).

Just a tad of info, the two extra girls with Su and Moa here were known as Muscle Metal, and preceded the addition of the Avengers seen in 2019 and 2020 shows. They were used in 2018 to fill in for the fact that Yui had left and they hadn't fully decided on what to do with the live lineup. Muscle Metal were named that because those girls were very buff, and they did a great job at the shows they performed at. They even performed an awesome mock fight scene during the song Akatsuki at the Dark Night Carnival concert in October of 2018. In their recent shows at Budokan, on Day 5 & 6, SU-METAL sang "Akatuski" for the first time in Japan since 2018, and the Muscle Women re-appeared while the shredding guitar solo, and they did the fighting choreography. It was a touching moment.
Su was 20 and Moa was 18 at this show. I loved that they changed the costumes to more adult and the girls hair is left natural.....then that changed and the girls were almost unrecognizable with what they did for their hairstyles
one of the reason what me like about our Queen Su is , when she off stage she's just ordinary girl (but her royal aura never turn off) and not once me see her acting like she is the top and best artist in the world .... Su , Yui and Moa have the best attitude in the Metal World.
In 2018 when this took place, Yui was ill and unable to perform, but had not yet left the band. To have a stage show, they tried some different configurations with dancers until they settled on the Avengers concept in 2019. Here there are two additional dancers which is how they toured the US and Europe that year. Something to bear in mind, at all the big shows, Babymetal draws an international audience. People fly in from across the globe to see them, so there is always a high percentage of foreigners, even in Japan. Wherever they perform, it's on a global stage.

I havent seen that dominance since Angela Gossow with Arch Enemy. Haters can hate Babymetal all they want but Suzuka Nakamoto is a complete Queen of the metal genre. Despite being short and young, she dominated hundreds thousands of crowds with little no effort. Just her presence is enough.

Babymetal will just be finishing up with the third concert in the Doomsday 10 concert series at the Nippon Budokan just about now - tomorrow’s performance will have the same playlist as todays. In a few weeks there will be 5&6, then 7&8, and finally 9&10 before they do Knotfest. Crowds are down to 5000 socially distanced with double masks and no mosh pit. Fancam video of 1&2 has already emerged. They are covering 10 years of BM. We should expect new material in the Summer. Su is 5’1”, Moa is 4’11”. The first two concerts featured Momoko, who is taller than Su. Su and Moa are short even by Japanese standards

You guys should check out (and react to) the Japanese math rock of tricot. They are absolutely incredible--one of my favorites, really. Some (read: most) of their videos have titles in Japanese, so they might be a bit more difficult to search for, but they're definitely worth it. @@geiseric222 There are almost bound to be a few, but if they raise their heads they get slapped down damn quick from what I've seen - the unhelpful guide implies ALL men are creepy and tars virtually the whole male side of the fan base as creeps - and that is entirely wrong. The new guide is a bit more accurate and addresses some of the things the unhelpful guide missed - but the unhelpful guide is a bit more humorous. There are things to be said for both.

It's funny because I'm a recent fan of Babymetal and love alot of their songs and others not so much. I'm an English speaker and I like not knowing what the lyrics mean or too much about the personal or behind the scenes of the band. I know the basic stuff about their history , I guess for me I like it when I hear a new Babymetal song and it's like BAM.... here's another bolt of the blue. This was the first ever performance I saw because it was on when I was watching the highlights from download festival about 3 weeks after it happened. So glad I didn't skip it! Don’t do the old “Unhelpful Guide”, there is a newer, more up-to-date version of the guide now! Do that one instead. It has some clips from songs, interviews, Sakura Gakuin stuff, a lot of things you haven’t seen or heard yet. There are already a bunch of people who have dropped the link to it, so I don't really need too. Also, you could just do the guide video in multiple parts if you really need too. For what it’s worth, other people who have done the guide reactions, they get lots of views so clearly people like the videos.

If you get to watch the Tokyo Dome shows that BABYMETAL performed, there is one moment in the middle of one of the songs where Su-Metal happens to look STRAIGHT into the camera for just a second with this slight smile on her face as if she is thinking "I have 55,000 souls in the palm of my hand right now, and I don't care if you know it."

Since you've covered almost everything, and have a following base willing to help you out, maybe you could try some link & sinc videos, and watch some of BABYMETAL's bigger or more recent performances. We could do stuff from Met-Rock, Summer Sonic, Tokyo Dome or Legend Metal Galaxy for example. They would blow your mind.
@@crypticmisery7996 I don't know how it works with Twitch, but it is my understanding that, with L&S, they can actually get some revenue out of these videos. The drawback with L&S is that many people don't like them so they get few views, but these guys have built an audience willing to help them out.
Couple of performances that might interest you: - HEADBANGER @ Legend I 2013 . This was the first time the Kami Band perform with the girls on stage on a headlining concert. Raw and natural on smaller stage and crazy early audience, kinda historic in my opinion. - FROM DUSK TILL DAWN @ Doomsday III 2021, just a few days ago. new guide, old guide as a by stander to them. Meaning I don't know who made them. The old one doesn't get as up to date as the new one. And it takes a few jabs at men through out it. But it's entertaining. The new one is about as up to date as can be. But sorry to say IMO it's not nearly as entertaining. The robot voice even seems to get bored a few minutes in. Mostly because it's very mono tone. Next to no inflection. So it's hard to tell what's exciting about, what it's talking about. The new one would of been better served having a human voice over. Other than that they are both worth watching. Back to your reaction. GJ as always. The guide will tell you about the dancers in the Distortion video from download. I'm just glad the folks back in Japan are willing to help the rest of us out with who the back up dancers are. They really should name them.
