I’ve been craving this kind of ride again from Disney for so long. A slower, immersive ride with more practical effects and animatronics. A really great change of pace from what imagineering has been doing recently.
I love these types of rides. I have no interest in those 'ugly' (IMHO) coaster parks where all we get is a steel roller coaster in a flat parking lot with no theming (I'm looking at YOU Cedar park!) ;) lol. These types of dark rides are just so beautiful to behold.
@@dayoldbread1696it’s one of the most incredible animatronics Disney has made to date. They designed the ride as relaxing for viewing the landscapes. I was surprised they put an animatronic in at all.
There already were actually marriage proposals at this attraction 😅 the first seemed to be of an imagineer who proposed to her girlfriend during final phase of the attraction's construction. He wanted to show her what he does for living.
@@kevinlee7678these are the exact same animatronic models. They use the same systems. So one is let going to look better than the other. The only thing I will say is that Disney gets lazy and uses animatronics in frozen but projects faces on them which makes it look bad. Tiana’s bayou isn’t finished yet anyways and thus we haven’t seen the animatronics in motion.
@@mychemicalromancewillpierc5241I just want them to start construction on the avengers e ticket, it’s been 4+ years and still no construction has started on it here at California adventure
@@SlushysSecret it's not really about how it's ran, OLC PUMPS money into the Tokyo parks. Disney doesn't have to spend a dime and OLC is NOT scared to go big and spend money for qulity. It's said that FS cost OLC about 1.2 billon USD to build.
I can relate to you....I was "tearing" up when Japan put out that FANTASTIC Beauty and Beast ride~!! I am frustrated that WDW doesn't have the attractions that Japan is putting out.
OLC is quasi independent of Disney, they just license the IP from Disney but they're in charge of the building and design of all their own rides (with permission and oversight of Disney Corporate of course). OLC has pride in their attractions and because of the exclusivity contracts, these rides won't be coming to the USA unless there is room for it at the parks and it's over. 5 years from the opening date (overseas). OLC is what American DISNEY should be, but is not.
@@tangleduniverse5042 Oriental Land Company is the name of the company that owns Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. It's an off branch of a Japanese company, I think?
Surreal to see animatronics outside for some reason. Overall feels like a very Japanese kind of ride. Just calm and peaceful and appreciative of the pretty lights.
I love what they did to the ride but I wish they could’ve added more scenes like an inside of the snuggly duckling with the pub thugs singing I’ve got a dream, the festival view where they are dancing, and mother gothel in the tower
Wow animatronic are getting better and better I can't wait Tiana's Bayou which our America side at Disneyland and Disney World. I wish I can do something like that but let the professional do all hard work and it so wonderful.
If this was in the Disneyland park, they should place it where the motorboats used to be and include some waterfalls like in "Pirates of the Caribbean".
I love Disney Tangled the movie the ride looks so cute I wish Disneyland in California would add this attraction in California for the Park at Disneyland!
Maybe when they expand. They just approved a 1 billion expansion and it DOES entail a frozen land so we have a chance for a rapunzel ride near it maybe?
They can’t. OLC, who owns and operates the Tokyo Disney Resort, has it in their contracts that whenever they create original attractions, they can’t be cloned anywhere else. This will stay exclusive to Tokyo DisneySea.
Because Tokyo Disney resort is owned by the oriental land company and they are willing to pay Disney to get top tier rides/animatronics/decor/etc. Imagineers can really unleash the magic. If Disney is building on their dollar, there’s gonna be a budget
@@brianorozco1074 they don’t. That’s my point. It embarrassing they’re essentially taking our brand and doing a better job than we are. Disney does work with them a bit on these projects but those companies have the final say on everything. Of course Disney is still profiting off of it.
The animatronics are wonderful and the theming is gorgeous, but the ride only really has three scenes, four if you count the outdoor section (which I don't). This is a step in the right direction for disney, but this feels half baked.
This is what Tiana's Bayou Adventure could have been-instead we got a random, half-baked new story no one has any emotional connection to. The Tangled ride is perfection
This looks fantastic and I wish we'd get a version here in the U.S. parks. However, I do wonder about this lacking Gothel and the new Tiana ride lacking Facilier. What do they have against villains? :D
Has there been a boat ride fitted with the Shanghai pirates technology so far? This seems the usual water flow propulsion we know from around the world.
Just went on this last week 😭 it was gorgeous but wish it was longer and they added more scenes like her bedroom, the Kingdom Dance and a closer look of the castle. A glimpse of Mother Gothel would’ve been fun but I get why they didn’t include it. Still super well done though I loved the ride 💜
Dear Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Please, pretty please bring this ride to the states and have Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprise their roles from the film.
I’m disappointed that Gothel doesn’t appear, nor is there a proper resolution to the story. Where’s the haircut? The King and Queen? Like Beauty and the Beast, it excels in animatronic and aesthetic, but storytelling is lacking. Shame.
I think they wanted it to be just a love story ride without the need for a climax. I don't think it's bad, It does feel a bit short, but it does jump a bit if you know the story. It's really just a simple dark ride for the kiddos, like Frozen.
The Disney Company in America has painted itself into a long term, losing corner. It's going to take decades to get up to speed with Tokyo Disney. "We can't make the castle taller - it's Walt's original castle!" But you sure tore the heck out of The Haunted Mansion. "We'll give you rides, but we can't spend like The Oriental Land Co." Well .. maybe we can have the OLC take over from The Disney Company? "But we'll tear up Autopia and the submarines and give you an Avatar experience!!" Don't do us any favors. "How about we turn Disney Forward into a giant food fair? Sound good?" I'd be happy if the hula girls on Small World didn't disappear one by one.
The animatronics here are top tier. This is what the States parks are lacking... memorable, beautiful stories told through real experience, not screens and gimmicky tech that ages out in two years or less. If I have a concern, it's that those first three animatronics are obviously sophisticated but also outside in the weather, and I'm wondering how hard it will be to keep them from breaking down.
