Hi Mandy!! Thank you so much!!! Yes, I'd definitely recommend waiting on the first wash for as long as you can.... after that, I'm really not a stickler for it. There's a certain way I like to wash my wigs and put heat back into them to make them feel soft again, and after the first washing, I don't mind doing it whenever I feel the need to. My wigs have lasted me years. In fact, I've never had to throw out a heat friendly wig... That's my experience anyways =) I know a ton of people have an opposite viewpoint than me on that, BUT I've only adopted this viewpoint by trial and error on my part and experimenting with different techniques to bring my wigs back to life, and thankfully I've got that down. Now I actually prefer the heat friendly because I can always make them like brand new, whereas I can't get the same effect with the regular synthetics. @@WigsWithSteph I am starting to agree with you. The more I learn how to properly care for my HF wigs, the more I am realizing their longevity over regular synthetic fibers!

(cont) I was successfully overcoming these health challenges, my poor hair was suffering the ravages that severe malnourishment causes. It used to be several inches longer than shoulder length. After fracturing my shoulder I decided to have it trimmed into a short bob which was so much easier to maintain. Unfortunately, due to the malnutrition, I have lost over 50% of my hair. For the very first time, I began think...... perhaps a wig would help lift my spirits as well as lightening the very difficult task that my own hair styling has become. I just keep them in the boxes they came to me in. They live in my closet, stacked one on top of each other! :) And I always have 8 wigs hanging in mg closet at all times that I alternate because then it’s fast to grab them to wear. I’m going to do a video on this to show you guys what I do :)

I don’t have Simmer in a dark black-brown color. I purchase these wigs with my own money, which is why I purchase and show a lot of blondes… that’s mostly what I wear 😊
