@@ndychung007 Exactly. Not only that, they should edit it and make it sound better. 12k RPM V12 sound? Why not? It's fake anyway, why make it sound weird instead of amazing?
@@CarExpertAus Great show guys, I just think you negatively affected the Lamborghini times by manually switching the gears, that was seen in the video of the race, your Countach time is 0-60 3.24, but it was confirmed 2,7! And 1/4 mile's your is 10,77 and comfirmed is 10,1
I have now owned the Ioniq 5 N for over a month and it is truly a magnificent vehicle. A solid 9 out of 10 and one of those rare cars we will look back on as truly transformative for its time. There are a few improvement areas, most notably its range and turning radius, but I can easily look past that considering how good it is. Superb vehicle and one that makes my 991.2 Carrera T being left in the garage more than it should…
Same here. Have it since 3 weeks and almost 2000km on it and love it. All wheel steering would have been the best. Consumption is ok for a car this size, look and power. My last rs6 had worst/similar consumption 😅 my petrol car is just waiting in the garage
The difference in facial expressions, just shows how accessible and effortless the Ionic 5N is compared to drama of the Fezzer. Bring on an extreme version of the N and see them of please N!
Hi a Hyundai Elantra N ( in USA) /i30nN sedan here. I don't know how long you've had the Ioniq 5N in your hands, I've seen both of your videos and it fascinates me, but I've noticed something, 1. why don't you use the N mode?, the blue button on the right side below the red NGS button, 2. Why don't they use active sound? which imitates the sound of an ICE. 3. Why don't you use the N e-Shift? which simulates the changes of a Dual Clutch Transmission, that's why they have paddle shift. 4 are not using the full 641 HP (650ps), because they are not pressing the red NGS button to have the full Boost of the 641hp (650ps) they are only using 601 HP in each drag race. Try those things, you will feel the difference and who knows if you win the race or it is much closer than you imagine.
Well the E-shift doesnt help for the drag actually. Other then that I agree - activate Drag mode, precondition the battery, Sport mode, NGB, and then it should do around 3.25 to a 100Km/h. The weird thing about this car is that its actually quickets in a full battery mode (no sounds, no shifting)
@@jaydaley1294 a child’s response. Of course the Ferrari will beat it around the track Anna no-one is suggesting otherwise. Try acting like an adult by understanding that the performance metric I referred to is astonishing and belittling it is not done by a proper car enthusiast. 😒
It's actually really good on a track lol. 7:45 on the Nurburgring puts it closer to an M3 than a supercar, but it's also an SUV so you can do "things" with it later. Jack of all trades, master of none.
sf90 couldn't get traction, if it found traction, it would've been gone, 10.3 second 1/4 mile for sf90 is slow, usually does around high 9 seconds on a good surface with no sand or debris to cause traction issues
Will try and avoid getting too technical: the supercapacitor doesn't need a battery. It simply delivers its power much faster, making it ideal for helping in acceleration, as you have shown here in the video. But it has far less energy density than a battery, so it cannot deliver boost for a very long time. But then again, it is so much lighter than any battery and can be charged and discharged tens / hundreds of thousands of times without degradation. Lamborghini have really applied this tech brilliantly. The research now is focusing on creating supercapacitors which can simply store more energy, closer to what a lithium based battery can, whilst still maintaining the advantages of light weight, longevity and especially the ability to squeeze that power out so quickly.
Ioniq 5n does 0-200 in 12,1 sec, the Countach in 8,6 sec, and the SF90 in 6.5sec... but this video made it look like the ioniq 5n is almost as fast as the SF90.
@@ItsRoydaBoy23no it wouldn’t…. The svj for example can do 10.1 seconds quarter mile if shifted and launch correctly the countach is easily a 9 second car
Even just 2 yrs ago, imagine saying you watched a video of Hyundai vs Lamborghini and Ferrari. 😮 When the Hyundai raced the Ferrari both times, the two cars were level then the Ferrari pulled ahead. Is that because the Hyundai has only one gear and is therefore dropping off power after reaching peak?
It's because the Ferrari couldn't get any traction and was spinning tyres up till 3rd gear. If it actually hooked up nicely the launch wouldn't even be even. But what can you expect from having 1000hp and 950ish nm of torque. It was never equal and never would be.
I watched this and then hours later came back to say...Fantastic Entertainment with excellent video and sound quality. The Car Expert team did well to relay some of the excitement to us viewing....keep it up Paul and team!!!!👊🏾
This is what we've needed for years. An Aussie perspective on all these millionaire toys. Paul's reaction to the sf90 race was priceless! Carwow better watch out.
Ferrari for life. Although the new countach is very very nice. Hyundai is just crazy. It's amazing for the money. Maybe you should put up the Hyundai against the EV6
New model 3 should win that and almost any other comparison too and it’s $30k less drive away Prelim testing has seen 3.3 0-100 in the wet on test drives on the draggy not at full charge
So from my chair - The Ionic 5 N is one of the new breed Giant killers. The SF90 is pinnacle performance perfection. The 812 Just nice. The New Countach - The most fun super car ride/launch i've seen on media.
The 5n is the only electric car on the planet trying to save the essence of what cars are since gas engines will be phased out eventually. The 5n is the last car you should be hating on.
I was almost convinced to get the Hyundai, this clip made me decide to go for it. With the right modes activated it could have actually gone quiker, so would have lost still from the Ferrari, but not by so much... ;-)
Who would have thought that SuperCars would have to compete with a Hyundai hatchback! Unbelievable, what a true car test with its all-out pedal-to-the-metal!
Considering the price the Hyundai is the most impressive, super cool video! Would love to see all these cars do a few laps on the same track as I feel the Hyundai could once more show its brilliant engineering. It's not the fastest in a straight line but it's insane on a track
The reason why the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is so good here is because electric motors can adjust to lack of traction much quickly and effectively than combustion engines. This is not just a Hyundai thing, it is true for electric cars in general and is one of the things electric cars just do better. Also the SF90 is not in full power mode, at 16:00 on the dash I see orange text on the left of the RPM gauge that says "PERFORMANCE", it needs to be "QUALIFYING" (on the steering wheel select the stopwatch symbol). I have to say for a relatively small channel you guys brought together a fantastic selection of cars, and great work guys! 🤩
First time seeing a video of yours, love the channel keep up the good work and the drag races 🔥❤ Aiming forward to see more of these amazing cars! And BTW love the picture! Greetings from bottom of my heart right up to you guys! Much much love from Joseph🇬🇷🇪🇬❤️🇺🇲
All these cars look amazing! The Hyundai looks totally out of place in this company, and will always lose when it comes to that. It will never be a poster car for kids to dream over as long as Hyundai continues to make cars that look like this. Even Honda knew that when they built the first NSX: it was not enough to perform like an exotic, it had to look like an exotic as well, in addition to undercutting them on price coupled with Honda reliability. I know for a fact that if any one of these so-called test drivers, we're offered their pick of these cars for free, they would pick the Hyundai if it looked like a Ferrari. As it stands, it doubt any one of them would pick the Hyundai.
