Part 2 to this story here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ttcbY_QlyZ4.html . I originally intended to tell this story from a completely different point of view, but when Vivien came on board and then we got access to film inside the Old England Hotel, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to focus fully on that as it was beyond what I could have hoped for. Part 2 is a mysterious tale of how I got involved in this in the first place based on a photo that turned up in the most unlikeliest of places, with a personal connection, and how I had to turn in to an amateur Columbo to figure out what the heck was going on....
I loved this! It’s so touching that Paul went out of his way to greet Vivian and have his picture taken with her. I wonder if John had a headache from not wearing his eyeglasses.
What a beautiful story! How special for that young girl to have this moment in her life - Gotta love Vivien's Mum for making a wish come true (the true heroine of the story)!!!!
Great video, enjoyed it very much….you can tell even today the joy Vivien had meeting The Beatles, especially Paul, who went the extra mile to interact with her.
Great story and well done for getting it organised. I heard a similar story about a pub further down in Norhamptonshire. However, I now realise that is the same story. As the one I heard had Paul meeting the little girl and John with sunglasses on. I am glad I now know the whole story to the bits I had heard before.
I love the traveling episodes that you have filmed over the last few years! It is definitely a unique feature on your channel that is not seen on other Beatle channels. (Although to be fair, it would be very expensive for the US channel owners to do these travel videos in England). Really fun to see your videos taken at various Beatle locations.
Wow, what a great video. I really found it interesting as I'm the same age as Vivien and would have discovered The Beatles earlier that year when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. I can only imagine how excited I'd have been to have met them at that age and, especially, had my photo taken with Paul McCartney.
What a wonderful video! Touchingly sweet. Thank you so much, and tell Vivien "Hello, lucky girl" from this Beatle fan in North Carolina, USA. I was just discovering their music about the time that Vivien got to meet them.
Wow this is definitely once in a lifetime stuff. Her mom should have been named mother of the year for pulling her out of school to meet her heroes. Great video!💯👍
Great wee video, really enjoyed meeting someone who actually met them in person. How to become really popular at school! Keep up these exclusive mini-documentaries!
Hello Andrew I had read about this so when you met Vivian who is quite a nice lady, brought it back to life again I really enjoyed that ,Paul was very kind to her great footage .Thanks
Great story and video. And I didn’t realize they had added I Should Have Known Better and I’m Happy Just To Dance With You to the late 1964 shows as well as bringing Money back. It would be great if any audio of those shows were available.
Really fun video Andrew. I love these kinda stories videos, because there just so down to earth and relaxing. And i laughed so much when you of course had to be Paul McCartney on the recreation of the photograph (I would have done the same, but still).
Marvelous, & post-USA & post-Hard Day's Night, which makes it even better: the band was fully formed. Good job the council don;t own that hotel, else it would have been knocked down years ago.
If you look at him on the internet, oddly the man on the far right of the photo looks more like Bill Corbett. He drove The Beatles during 1963 up towards the latter part of 1964.
This says a lot about Paul McCartney. There's a story too that actress Alison Steadman (pre fame) tells which casts him in a good light where she follows John and Paul in search of an autograph.
