I feel like I've seen this before, is this a reupload? Nice work in any case.

I think this is a reupload from the time in Spain. It's never the less worth seeing again 😊

Great restoration! They are great as they fit into the spare wheel but unobtanium now. I think Volvo did one as well.

Very clever of BMW to have that, I'm guessing from the shape it fits into the boot and is part of the spare wheel compartment. Great job, I got from the comments below this was a re-upload, but still amazing in your work. Hoping some day soon you'll invest in a powder coating set up for small parts, that would give you incredibly durable and high gloss coatings that will give your restoration work an even more professional aspect than what you have now. Cheers! Thanks again Steve for the recollection!

I have a very similar can from Volvo as an official accessory. The embossed BMW logo, thankfully, is missing…😅

Looks great! Well done. Question, why not 2k spraypaint the jerrycan? It would add extra strength and chemical resistance, right?

Nice restoration ... as usual. At least in Germany those jerry cans are not really rare at all. 40€ for a slightly used one. A new one comes in at 150€. BTW The Mercedes version (Grey with Mercedes star) of these types of cans are priced the same.

Why didn't you just put a metal pole or something into the tank and use it to hammer out the dent from the inside?

Chromium is 100% non-toxic. I have no idea where you got the notion it is dangerous, because, I mean you know it's used in food, right? but whatever that case, you did not bother to look it up.
@TrapShooter68
@TrapShooter68 4 месяца назад
From Wikipedia: The acute oral toxicity for chromium(VI) ranges between 1.5 and 3.3 mg/kg. The carcinogenity of chromate dust has been known for a long time, and in 1890 the first publication described the elevated cancer risk of workers in a chromate dye company. There is disagreement on chromium's status as an essential nutrient.
@Belzediel
@Belzediel 4 месяца назад
@@TrapShooter68 Aha. Chromium and hexvalent Chromium (or indeed Chromium 4 or Chromates) are not the same thing. Just like hydrogen and hydrogen cyanide are not the same thing, despite consisting of nothing but the one element. Chemistry does not work that way, chemicals don't share properties because they sound similar, that's voodoo. I also did not claim Chromium is an essential nutrient, I said it was used in food, which it is, and it is because Chromium is NOT TOXIC, which the article you cited states perfectly clearly.
