My buddy passed on a EH barrel proof for MSRP cuz he thought 90 was too much lol. I went back the next morning and it was gone lol.

Honestly I’d love to get a stitzel weller Pappy 20. The bottle that started the bourbon craze. I got an unopened Chessman with high fill level for $20. Opened it for my wedding. It was amazing.

Great list I also want a EH Taylor BP sadly they are always 400 plus and George T Stagg but they are also 699 to 1200. A Blantons SFTB but keep missing them at 169.99. Last a coy hill and knob12 cask strength would be awesome.

For my birthday this year I opened my 1958 Very Old Fitzgerald. 8 year old bottled in bond. Talk about a dusty. Great juice.

King of Kentucky is definetly up there for me, Heaven Hill 17 is a close second probably. Then things like 4RLE 135th, WTMK Cornerstone, VWFRR, older Parkers. Its such a random search anymore once you get over a certain bottle count, cant chase EVERY vertical!

My unicorns have let me down a little. Finally snagged some REALLY hard to get bottles and they don’t blow my socks off. I like the idea of going after dated bottles that signify life events. So now I’m after an ‘82 bottle, 05 and 14. Still have to work out what brands I suppose.

I bought a bottle of E.H. Taylor BP this Christmas, right place right time.

I just received a James Beam 8 year from my birth year, 1969, for my birthday yesterday. It is so good too. And it came in a painted bottle.

Think most serious collectors/drinkers are searching for the dusties, SW PVWs, BTACs, HH HS, WTMK, etc. but some of the more "reasonable" unicorns that I crossed off my list this year were EHT BP, RR13, High West Prisoner's Share (allegedly the last year they are partnering with Prisoner?), WFP SP, and just picked up my first Rio this afternoon. Been looking for one for about a year and walked into my local spot and the owner said "you seem to know exactly which days to come in here" and pulled a Rio out from behind the counter - excited to crack it open. Cheers!

mine was GTS for the longest time. finally got one this year in a lotto, was a ‘23. tried a sample of it before i opened the bottle and quickly sold the bottle after. such a let down

Always wanted a Four Roses LE. Found one this year for 500 but just couldn't bring myself to pay that much. Hopefully one day I'll find one for a reasonable price or trade something!

My top 5 has to be....Russells single rick house, EH Taylor barrel proof, GTS, William Heaven Hill 17, and a 1986 cheese foil wild turkey.

Last year at Neat I tried that wild turkey 12yr 1988 and it was amazing!!! Definitely worth the hunt! Good luck

I just found a GTS last week. I don’t think I will ever top that. However, I’ve been actively searching for Stagg for years and have not been able to get one.

I just traded for a 22 Gts. My first BTAC. HH17 is high on my wish list.

Mine was Purple Top. Won the opportunity to buy one in a raffle. Got to the register and could not believe the price. I was too embarrassed to put it back so now I have a bottle I wanted and will not open it.

My unicorns would definitely be Wild Turkey 12yr or Makers Mark Cellar Aged. Don’t know if I could ever make myself spend secondary price for either but I’d grab it if I ever saw one at retail or won a lottery.

Personally I think it’s a horrible idea to involve or get your child into whisky or booze in general it’s addictive and ruins lives so good luck and hope your child doesn’t get addicted
