Not gonna be a market like there has been, too many kids are being brainwashed by marxism. Expect WW2 German items to drop in price and com block garbage to go through the roof.
My reproduction caps made by JANKE looks EXACTLY like those….especially when I put original insignia on it and several years of reenacting, it’s almost indistinguishable , even passing the thread burn test.
His same bright panzer assault badges are repos on ebay for 20 bucks funny how got the same stickers on them aswell! There's a real silver stamped one in the museum it's very dull and the rest are dull but showing the brass not dull silver the hats and badges is maybe be inclined to move away from these small market stalls are just in it for the money not necessarily clued up on real or repops
Alex, I bought my first piece of history because of you! It's a small lapel pin for the National Socialism workers party (DAP) of something. I can't wait to know exactly what it was used for but thanks to you, I want more. I appreciate your videos and always look forward to more.
Hello great video. I collect exclusively pre ww1 reservisten krug and regimental items such as beer glass, plates and flasks. I have moved back to the USA because of Covid-19.I Was living in Romania. Now I'm finding it hard to collect because of shipping costs to USA have gone up so much after Covid.
@@thechurch5000 Looks perfectly fine to me, that's what they often look like in mint condition. A decal is pretty hard to scratch. Liner looks nice and is original too.
@@History-Secrets what about all the glue sticking out from under the decal? Huge spot of glue on the bottom left of the decal shining in the sunlight Never seen that before on originals, ever Besides, the decal.. it's completely clean while the rest of the shell is scratched up. Sure they might be tougher to damage but being completely mint is also something else
@@JustaGuy1250 Original decals actually always have this glue. Some have it more than others. Looks like this decal was moved a bit when it was applied, happened a lot. I own a 100% original Double Decal SS helmet, and that one also has the glue like this. Nothing strange here, liner is good too.
I think most people watching the video was choking at the prices. If you were paying with dollars you would have to increase the prices 15% more for the exchange rate which makes it even worse.
Alot of collectors items and beautiful pieces in there ,the one rare item I have been looking for is a unused ET runic SS helmet decal 2nd model . If you ever find one let me know 😉👍✌️
i should have snagged that perfect condition helmet my local army/navy store had back in the early seventies for $250. of course i was only 13 yrs old and it might as well had been a million
I know how you feel... there was a surplus not too far from me who had deactivated bren guns for $400 when I was 13-14, may as well be a million. Back then the deactivation process in Canada was realistic and didnt completely destroy the gun so they could be reactivated. It would be illegal of course, but, who cares these days, I would love a functioning bren when the covid zombies rise from the grave.
Hi, sorry if I disturb but I am looking for uniforms, awards, medals and equipment of the GDR? Do you have any advice where I can find? However nice video
The initial helmet.... His idea on "mint condition" is somewhat different to mine. Mint = Free from blemishes, abrasions, marks etc.... This one, not so much. Still, a nice lid
The helmet described as mint at 58 seconds ?/ if I had bought this as mint from the dealer I would have been very disappointed dealers need to learn what the tern ` MINT ` Actually means
Now i see why all the videos of people medal detecting in Europe the prices of some of the pieces that they find are worth the time invested into it IMO i would prefer a piece found in the field but beautiful artifacts for sure this gentleman has great video also I must say
I have a pennant, like used on cars and boats, it has the swastika and the letters "D.D.O.C." where can I find the meaning of this, or the owners' identity?
It’s super suspicious and I would go to bet most of his stuff is repro even in my limited years of collecting I would never handle a crusher cap in that way since the brimes and other objects and fragile Helmet is a repro being sold as a new In package just from the factory only to have marks on it? Okay weird Let’s talk about how his stuff is displayed like trash all thrown around piled up now this doesn’t mean it’s all Fake some people don’t organize but for high Dollar items kinda suspicious All the new never used things he has Okay yes I’m sure there’s some old stock ww2 stuff lying about in collections but all those In one spot ? And the smock and zeltbahn he had were off I don’t know much but a mint unissued zelt that has 0 stainage or storage wear is sus idk about the smock since it wasn’t shown on camera It just all screams repro or some guy who who simply doesn’t care about preservation of history and some old bloke who got it all when. It was cheap and is selling it all while the price is right because his wife is nagging about wanting the china closet back for dinnerware either way screams fake to me
The shell is original, the paint is not, decal is new, chinstrap, split pins and liner are likely not original to the shell. Not a repro but not mint original by any means.
Yep that's a new decal, no question made to look slightly aged, liner chin strap is aged repro, liner is suspicious. Can't say about Split pins, at first the look completely flat and then at another angle they look correct.
I know.Or is it fake? Alex would know by now.Always good to examine the construction on real garments when you get a chance.Especially SS.Makes for better viewer content, too.
One day my top end reproductions will be worth thousands.....almost as much as these ones.....might even include the original paper wrapping.....and the ersatz plastic bag......😎
On Aliexpress you can find perfect remakes of these badges for 5 € and more , not for the purists , but great to start a nice and very very affordable collection....
I'm not sure you need to be a purist to not want a collection of AliExpress fakes... In all honesty, really not trying to bash on you or anyone else, but it seems rather hard to take oneself serious as a collector if that is one's mentality
I have a nazi flag taken by my father when his unit entered Berlin, it's has bullet holes, and covered in ss medals and other insignia's,. Is it worth anything?
The Prices for rare German "war souvenirs", I would prefer medals ;-), are exploding. Regarding to very strict new laws in weapon-collecting all other the world . SS-buckles nearly doubled in 12 months. I collect meanly Waffen SS daggers und bayonet. The prices are total out of control and the after the Russians startet collecting, the Chinese will be were soon. Last time I was in China, the whole TV was full of war-documentaries about Germany and even my fahter in law know a lot Germany military history.
Alter Schwede da hab ich zich tausend Euros Verlust gemacht ! Wenn ich die Preise sehe Wahnsinn und ja könnte kotzen wegen meiner Alten die mich dazu zwang !
That helmet lools super fake with the shiny emblem etc. I only buy used gear where you can actually see the things have been out there for quite a while
