In 1910, a recent widow with six children commissioned a fleet of workers to build her family an estate in Red Springs, North Carolina. Over time the stunning home would fall into complete disrepair. Today the current owner - original blue prints in hand - is offering it for sale for $80K. But listen to his story and I think you'll agree he won't have the heart to ever let it go! Check out more home renovation tips and adventures at www.BabeCaveBuilds.com

I've been a builder for many years and have seen quite a fair bit of sheds. The plans in ryan's package ru-vid.comUgkxB7IXYxLzb_Ichhe45zM3Im5xfEiSp9vB have some of the nicest looking sheds i've seen in a while.

Hello, I am the Assistant director at the Red Springs Historical Museum. I often drive past the Coxe Mansion instead of the main street just to see the outside changes during this renovation. My family and I have enjoyed watching this little pebble be polished into a gem. I would love to to get in touch with the new owners as history is very close to my heart as well. I am sure we could find a way to showcase this amazing piece of history!

We bought a Victorian built in the late 1800's by the Presbyterian church for the clergy. There is a lot about your house that reminds me of ours. The banister, for one. We were told that the large post at the base (ours has a lamp right on top of it) has a safe inside in case the house burned down, you can put your valuables in there. Our staircase is 23 stairs long. At the landing is stained glass. I try to not let the love of our house get in front of the massive amount of money that a nearly 4000sq. Ft house needs JUST to be restored. The historic society has a lot to say about it, too. Would love to see what you did with it!

Absolutely breathe taking project! Can you show another video of the home please? I just purchased a colonial home built in 1880 in the same exact condition in the same exact manner 😳 so stumbling on your video made me feel better about that pit in my stomach that said what did I just do😊 I purchased it on Saturday and also because if someone didn’t, it would be torn down and the thought of that really bothered me because the architecture in the home is just beautiful an just needs some elbow grease to restore back to its original beauty. Mine is in the Catskill Mountains where is yours? So curious to see your completed home 🙌🏻

My mother inherited our family home...a huge old southern mansion that was in our family since 1835. It was packed to the rafters with everything. The family sold nothing through the decades. I found a set of Tiffany sterling silver in a bedroom dresser wrapped in a 1929 newspaper. We decided to repair the roof and do some structural things in foundation....so a contractor requested we get off site for 3 weeks while the work was being done. The house burned to the ground while mom and dad were renting a short term rental. the contractor said maybe wiring problem caused fire. A year later I was walking through a antique district in a city a 100 miles away and saw many of our things for sale in a antique shop window , including my great-great grandmothers 1850 portrait, the dealer had a shop loaded with our things....one of the contractors workers stole many of the house treasures and burned it down to cover the crime. It’s sickening what was lost. We got about half a moving van worth of stolen items back....but the history and the house is gone forever.

You were certainly placed there at the right time, with what one might say a divine purpose. In restoration, first the roof must be made impenetrable. Secondly, the foundation should be made sound. After that, the exterior envelop (walls, windows, doors). Chimney(s), gutters and mechanical systems. After that, repair/restoration of damage to anything inside. You are on quite a journey! Best of luck!
