हम परम भाग्यशाली हैं जो हम हिंदी फिल्मी दुनिया की हमेशा सबसे ऊपर की पायदान पर रह चुकी महान संगीतकार जोडी शंकर-जयकिशन के गीत सुन सुन कर ही बडे हो गए. यह जोडी तो लाजवाब थी ही परंतु इस जोडी में जो और दो जोडियां थी उनका भी जवाब नहीं था. मसलन हसरत जयपुरीजी--जयकिशनजी और शैलेंद्रजी--शंकरजी ! आज ८० की उम्र में भी उनके गीत तरोताजा ही लगते हैं. मोहम्मद रफी, लता मंगेशकर, मुकेश, मन्ना डे, तलत मेहमूद, आशा भोसले, किशोर कुमार, सुमन कल्याणपूर, महेंद्र कपूर, शमशाद बेगम, सुबीर सेन आदि कई पार्श्व गायकों के गाए हुए गीत मन को सुकून देते हैं. कितने भी साल क्यों न बीत जाएं पर शंकर-जयकिशन जोडी की याद हमेशा ताजा ही रहेगी. उन दोनों को विनम्र श्रद्धांजली.

Agar Is golden jodi ko najar nahi lagti aur manmutao ki vajaha alag na hoti to shyad Jaikishan ki asamayik death nahi hoti. Lakho rasik music lovers ko jis mahan sangit kar jodi ne 2 dashak rizaya unko tahi dil se naman. Is jodi ka sangeet immortal hai aur sadiyo tak suna jayega.

Yes very true. After the departure of music partner no music director showed courage to stand & give the music with same enthusiasm as great Shankarji . Like Shankarji music director Paryelalji also was of great caliber bur even he also couldn't face the challenges of music industry & cut throat competition like great Shankarji faced. That shows his greatness & will power. Unfortunately music lovers had become deaf and failed to recognize Shankarjis talent in the later stages.
SJ + Rafi is a great combination , but Shankar Jaikishan was great with or without Rafi sahab, Hariyali aur Raasta, Raat aur Din, Ujala, Daag (Dilip Kumar), Patita, Kathputli, Pahchaan, Sanyasi, too many films they used other male voices , remember above-mentioned films are neither produced ,directed or Acted by Raj Kapoor sahab, SJ made great pair with Lyricists, Singers , Film makers , film actors , actresses etc ,but SJ always made their presence with prominence.
