Living in Singapore for 3 years made me miss Street Food so much. We were blessed with countless of Hawker stalls there but nothing can replace the taste, vibe, and feels of Filipino Street Food. In this video,
I walked along the Marikina neighborhood and bumped into some of the foods I've been craving for so long. I had the following:

I envy the informal atmosphere that you featured on this episode. You basically ate bibingka galapong at someone's home and then mango from an impromptu encounter from a vendor on his bicycle-cart. Then, at a local mom and pop bakery...which was the one place that felt most like a "business." Bravo! This is quintessential street food culture and casual eating.

Had to look up galapong. It's a batter made by soaking glutonous rice in water and grinding it up with the water. May have to try making it. I love bibinka. So many varieties of bibinka. I have a moringa tree in my yard. My neighbor is Filipino and his trees are seeding in my yard. That's how we tell if the house belongs to a Filipino, and by the color of the house too.😁

Not a basher but you must explore more of Marikina, Sta. Elena lang po yan mga food trip mo. There are a lot of hidden street/cheaper foods in our city. I mean a lot, Mang Manings, Sallys, Nanay Juaning kilala mo po sila? Legit Marikina food vendor po sila. Try mo din po explore District 2 mas madami din po doon. I can say not a legit Marikeño ka.

pasensya na po siguro iyan lang muna ang na feature niya dahil nasa Sto. Nino po siya yung Public market lang po ang nasa Sta Elena, at hindi nyo naman po siya masisisi, dahil suki na siya ng kakanin namin kaya iyan agad ang naisip niyang i-vlog. sana po maging proud na lang po na nagbigyang pansin ng vlogger ang marikina, at madami din namang vlogger nay hindi lahat napuntaha may specific na lugar talag silang pinupuntahan. huwag po kayong magagalit
