Truth! The first time I asked my boyfriend what he reads and discussed it with him he was floored. We can both sit peacefully together reading books of our own interest and never feel bored or as though we are ignoring each other. We feel connected, and afterwards can talk for hours to each other.
I am a black man who appreciates Malcolm X and his teaching. His autobiography changed my life and I think some of his views expressed in this speech are sexist.

Im an Irreligious person, but I am philosophical and open-minded. First time listening to a Malcom X speech, and it was awesome! Good points, some stuff I didnt agree with, my opinion purely.
Q: Why do you want to know? A: Malcolm made the request to anyone within the sound of his voice to stop compromising with their enemy, to not pull punches and tell them how they REALLY feel. I suspect a man of his integrity wouldn't say something like that, and then turn around and consider himself EXEMPT from his own instruction. continue, you were about to give an example...?
shamarone I disagree with how he says things along the lines of "Islam is a benificial and necessary thing to have in order to always be guided on a good path in life, for one's mentality and actions." I personally disagree with the whole concept of linking Religion to one's moral and ethical values as well as their life experience. Atheists, Agnostics and non-Religious people in general CAN EASILY be good natured people. If one needs Organized Religion of any form to guide them from their own human temptations, then that shows weak mindedness, as there are basic bad habits to remove and corrections they can make to themselves. It's all a question of Willpower and Motivation, ever present aspects of a Human, and this goes way back to the earliest days of Humanity.
All praise is due to Allah for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad for reforming Malcolm Little into Malcolm X. Grateful for all three of those intelligent men.
