listen to a rare and intimate conversation between popular Detroit radio DJ Scott Regan and Marvin Gaye that covers everything from his early ambitions to Berry Gordy to his ultimate goal as an artist. marvingaye.conforums.com
I think it's beautiful that he actually got to live out his childhood dream of singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people. He really was the prince of soul music.
Both the interviewer and Marvin have the kind of cadence and rich warm tone in their voices that are absolutely a pleasure to listen to. So relaxing to listen to.
Thank you for allowing us to listen to this wonderful human.....I have read his ex wife's book......and my thoughts and opinion of Marvin has not changed.......He sounds so caring and loving.....his disposition reminds me so much of MJ's.......Beautiful hearts with God given voices that they were willing to share with the world!!!
what a great interview. Marvin Gaye was and is always a blessing to us all. His music has touched so many souls. Although he didn't realize he was loved, he was and is still to this day.
I still get teary eyed when I hear certain songs by Marvin. Every single song he put out was absolutely a hit and I heard them all as they were being released because I was raised upstairs over the jukebox tavern where you couldn't help but to record each song into your memory box. PRICELESS
