Nice job Mark. Those are some pretty meager rations. I knew it was bad but this demo really puts things into perspective. I really appreciate you putting in the effort to assemble the NK stove to round things out.
That could be true since they have a lot of independent freedom while deployed at forward operating bases. Although I don’t think anyone would want to trade places with them when they are on operations. Normally soldiers in the field will remove most of the components from an MRE while on operations. Reducing the bulk and weight. Thanks for watching.
I can believe it. I am fascinated with the country due to the unique circumstances. I’ve watched many videos of defectors from their military. I made this video as a joke to a fellow Veteran who was a Korean interpreter. I appreciate you stopping by and taking time to comment.
So basically they have to hunt for themselves to stay alive? They probably squeeze the water out and save the tea bag to reuse during the week. Very sad how they abuse their people.
This was an April fools joke. There is no such thing as a North Korean MRE. Check out some RU-vid videos about their military life. It is inhumane to say the least. They are just fodder. It is so bizarre that I found it interesting.
@@becca318 yeah what a crazy world they live in. For a family who has remained in power and has been so oppressive to it’s own people is perverse. Have a great Easter weekend
Sorry, just seen your comment. If you haven’t figured it out, this was a complete spoof or parody. I was intrigued by watching North Korean defector’s talk about their life in the army. It’s beyond believe what they go through.
FINALLY!!!! I’m so happy your friend hooked you up with this rare MRE. Preparing it with an authentic NK stove was an excellent idea. I bet you were VERY full after eating an entire week’s worth of food!!! Good thing they supply a week’s worth of toilet paper too, huh? Ha Ha Ha!!!! The hand-drawn labels looked pretty good!!! Mr Kim will be contacting you about that missing MRE, or perhaps to discuss manufacturing some for his troops! 🤣😂🤣
Cool video, but do you all seriously think this is food for 7 days??? With just the tiniest bit of research (and I'm researching North Korea which is difficult but can be done) and a little common sense, you can easily figure out this is a one-day MRE ration just like every other countries one day MRE ration but it's very very very very very very sparse, but again not a week's worth of food.
Hey David, this was actually a April fools joke for a fellow RU-vidr, Expeditionary Jonny. He was the Korean interpreter in the US Air Force. I have spoken with two former North Korean soldiers/defectors. They told me they had no rations. They were Garrison troops and spent most of their time foraging for food on their own. Special units, pilots and submariner’s are fed better than normal troops and receive adequate rations. One of the soldiers had never fired a gun. The other only fired one magazine during his service before he defected. I kind of feel sorry for them.
Lol Russian MRE sugar pack and South Korean tea bag in North Korean MRE. BTW I know it is a joke video and North Korea does not have MREs, but that was a good one.
@@MarkKratzMC Thanks Mark. I haven't had time to make a good vid in a while, but do have some not so good recent uploads. I have more rations than I'll ever get too so try to upload something once a week.
Hey Dan, I’m just seeing your comment. Yes it was a practical joke for a former that was a Korean interpreter. Although I am fascinated with how their military personnel are treated. I have a military rations and military mess kit cooking playlists. Hopefully you can find something entertaining and believable there. I appreciate you taking time to watch the video.
