you've gotta be kidding. Suge is so full of shit. Pac did a double CD (which counted as 2 albums) and spending a lot of time in the studio to making a lot of song's as a rush to fulfill his contractual obligation to Death Row records as quickly as possible to be free from Death Row and Suge and move on ASAP.
Suge was involved in Makaveli Records & One Nation album. This was a joint venture. Relax on the Suge hate and that goes for anyone that thinks they're a true 2pac fan!
@@michaelr3583no son, that was interscope. Have u heard the stories of suge going in there and slapping the shit out of interscope executives cuz they wouldn’t pay him…and finally their contract with interscope was up…they were free agents and were free to do anything they wanted…but then they suspiciously have a gang member taunting them…ironically it’s allegedly PACs own damn cousin Orlando that ends up shooting him over gang wars but then years later we hear puffy is behind it
Reality is it wasn't with good intent. In essence it wasn't to simply help a down and out/broke/desperate at the time Tupac Shakur rather he "helped" Pac with well thought out/strategic plan to force Pac who was so broke at the time he couldn't refuse/say no to sign a 3 record deal with Death Row Records to boost/excel his company to the undisputed #1 spot in rap music industry in that era.
Give this man his props. He started Death Row, partnered with Dr Dre, started Snoops career, and Bailed Pac out of prison. It was his bully mentality and bad decisions that lead to Death Rows downfall and Pacs death.
@@mayovanexrodriguez6753 Was he stealing? or were they constantly getting in trouble with the law? like murder evidence magically going away or somehow doing crimes when you're on probation and not doing jail time isn't cheap at all. lawyer fees ain't cheap either, nor is getting the entire jury to side with you(Even Snoop on howard stern said that all the juries were all at his party after he got acquitted for murder).
He is not wearing sunglasses he always looked the reporter in the face. I believe he is speaking from the heart. He messes with his cigar to keep from dropping tears. We all learn from loss.
As much as people hate him his the real deal never snitched handled it the street way there was a big war on the streets after 2pac died also his the only guy that helped Tupac when he was in jail
He most certainly does NOT always look her in the eyes! You’re not watching closely. Also... don’t just hear his ( orchestrated tone ), listen... listen to WHAT he says and when asked questions, pretend it’s you and your very best friend was killed next to you, would the answers he gave feel relevant and normal to you? I’d really like to know.
Pretty much every album from Death Row Records from The Doggfather to before it are all classics. The albums after it were alright but there were also a lot of albums that could've been classics as well but got shelved for some reason.
You can tell Suge appreciate him. One have to understand Pac worked harder in that short time of period than most of the top artists that were around Suge during that time. You can appreciate that.
Yeah. You can feel his energy, truth and sorrow 🙁 through the screen. You can’t fake truth/energy no matter what! I pray Suge finds peace and gets out soon. And RIP to PAC and all the fallen soldiers we’ve lost to the streets. God bless..💕💕🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Wtf is you talking bout every body on death row said suge a snake and use to beat the fuck out people if they couldn't rap y'all people delusional bruh
But when yo number one rapper outgrows anything you can provide for him and seeks higher ground there's an issue. Too much money to be okay with pac rapping for anybody else that was your golden ticket. you ain't about to just let him rollout. 😐 I'm sorry 🧐
@@PurpleDrac thank you! These other dudes forming an opinion and know nothing. They don't even know Pac was gonna leave death row and Suge had a real motive to kill him. They gloss over that conveniently and blame it on crips. Young dudes don't even know everybody from that era knows it was Suge c'mon now albeit he had higher ups also pushing him to do it.
@YAHWEH IS MY LORD AND MESSIAH YESHUA IS MY SAVIOUR it was about Suge violating his parole and getting Orlando to testify on Suge behalf to keep him out of jail
ThisIsDodge I feel the same way, suge may have been a bully but I think there was a good man inside him as well. Maybe suge had to be rough when ppl weren't doing right by him idk.
if he was and saw the killers that kncoked him out, he would let the family of 2pac rest to know who killed him... instead of going with the code of the streeets!!! tht f'en prick!!!!
joek money Southside Crips that Diddy was paying for security shot 2pac and Suge that night in vegas. Pac joined Death Row so the Mob Piru Bloods would protect him from Diddy & Jimmy Henchmen (the guy who did the quad studio shooting in ny in 1995.) In 1994 diddy’s bodyguard killed suge’s best friend. So they had common enemies. It was Pac & Suge & the bloods vs diddy & jimmy henchmen & the crips
@@kto2934 He was put up to it by Suge. It was all Suges influence and he felt he needed to follow Suges lead. Meanwhile Pac was being bamboozled by Suge and Deathrow. As Afeni Shakur admitted later on, after her son was killed she sat down and read all of Tupacs financial records/details which revealed that Pac had next to nothing in his name and was essentially broke selling millions of records. Everything he had that Pac thought was his was really not and all belonged to Suge and Deathrow. All the cars, jewellery, the big house. All really was Suge owned and Pac thought it was all his. His mother said she only found out about the scam after Pacs death.
Yall trippin, This whole situation including Tootie-Pop and Sugar Bear its all FAKE these are ACTOR'S in the evil entertainment industry they didn't have social media back the but now people are woke.
This is the suge everyone needs to see. He keeps it real to the core. It annoys me the narrative that gets pushed! And the people that are running hip hop today! SMH
Danny boy was around Suge right after Pac died and said Suge cried like a baby for days. He really loved Pac even tho if he ran his business right Pac would still be here today.
Why do you feel that if he ran his business better pac would still be here? I'm asking because I feel like it doesn't matter how well or bad he ran his business he made enemies with to many powerful people. He couldn't be controlled, and wasn't bending over for those people with money either ( literally). He gave a great example as far as DMC still being able to perform in areas where the west coast " wasn't suppose to perform at". If there was really beef those people wouldn't have let them perform there. It wasn't real beef between them something else made them depart ways. I think it had to do with that female kada Jones.
@@SEOdork4hire even if he didn’t, even if they stopped pac from jumping on Orlando, you must have forgot that diddy already have done had a hit out on pac, so Orlando and his unc where out there for that anyways..
@@fruneishahood138 he was mixing the gangster life with the business and burning bridges. That’s why the label went under after Pac died and Suge went to prison
Jessie 992 if you think that, you don’t know nothing about Pac 😂 When he got shot in 94’ he got a picture taken in the bed for the ambulance and he has the finger up, believe that
Jessie 992 nah that’s def tru he rolled a bloody blunt when he got shot in 95 n told mf to call my mama n everyone was shocxed it’s like Superman getting shot 5 tymez n walking around they say last thang he said to the cop in Vegas that helped him get out the car the first responders they said who shot yu? N pac said “fuk yu”!
The media fucked everything up for Suge. They created that east coast west coast beef. They knew 2Pac was on top of the rap game and to make more sales they needed to come up with more bs. Suge really loved Pac and it’s sad cos he was there when his friend died and couldn’t do anything cos of the street code.
Ant Dogg ruthless for me. Ruthless got the best hip hop group ever with rappers like ice cube, mc Ren, krazie bone, cold 187 um, KMG,the DOC and Kokane. Dej jam was Also nice. And loud records. With all the great artists
Suge helped changed the rap game as far as dudes owning all their shit he should definitely be praised and acknowledge for that ... the media help paint suge as this big bad black man that every one is scared of but they do that to all of us and we fall for it all the time
Ryan Plew snoop n everyone else that dropped sold crazy amounts of record before pac even signed ...go back n do the history pac was a late addition he was only on the label for like 9-10 months lol
Suge needs a interview, book or movie on his life. Something. This man has a gold mine of stories on death row, Tupac, growing up in Compton, playing in the the NFL and to this day I still can’t fathom how a movie was never made about his life.
It would be good! I'm sure he could finance it himself. He still tapped in with people prolly. Gotta do it right though that Pac movie was 🗑️😂 and I love Pac they gotta redo that
@@AceDramaBeats Suge can't finance it himself. He doesn't have money like that anymore.. js it costs a lot to do a movie unless he tries a low budget one with horrible acting and the movie hardly changes scenes. His net worth is like $200k. He should have saved some. Death Row made about $400 mill in the first 4 years.
Suge rewatching this interview from an iPhone in prison. His cell must be cool as shit with all the gadgets. If you’re reading this Simon. We love you big Suge! I’m praying for you everyday.
The most telling quote of this whole interview is at the end of the story starting at 19:48 where he says: "so you look back and go, man, that's like you actually done something good." Like, Suge is pretty much shocked that he did something good.
It sucks that Suge has such a sad imagine but he did that to himself. I admire Suge he bailed so many people out including Dre, Pac, Snoop and many many others. Suge helped so many people and did so much for his community and for that i will always have respect for Suge.
They never wanna bring up all the good stuff you do or did, they feed off negativity, I appreciate y'all for not being biased like everyone else. Suge been looking out for people, he stirred up a lot of shit, but he has helped people out and changed lives. He will always be one of the biggest entrepreneurs of hip-hop.
Ebo IsHea dude the reason people only remember negativity with Suge is because while he did do some good the negative shit he did far outweighs the good he did. Even Pirus who he hired as his enforcers/security for death row who saw everything and lived through it say he didn’t care for nobody but himself
Alchemist9511 1 Nawl man. He said... “people talk a lot of shit, but that’s after I’m gone, because they fear me in the physical form.” Get it right, I’m sorry.
Yeah...he reminds me of the provocative Donald Trump...both weak men who talk alot of sh*t and know how to get attention. Both are Geminis. They say legends are born in June.
Too bad he turned into a gangsta and promoted gang violence and black violence!! He also was a womanizer big time he pretended to love and respect women but in reality he was just fucking them all!! Sad loss of an artist!! Suges story is another sad story idiot!!
Watch yo mouth when you speak on Pac, didn’t turn into a gangsta he was born into this shit, born a thug but idk why I’m talking to you, you could never relate you probably came up in the burbs, Makaveli 🐐🕊
@@ichiganan9508 what he's saying though is that he clearly changed how he was when he got with Death Row than how he was before and that is true. If he didn't get with them he probably would be alive...
hahah yes me too I think actor the way he mentioned tupac album because he wanted to sell it more thats by he even didn’t removed nas verse and plus he said tupac loved this album more than all eveyz on me beacuse he owned all eveyz on me double cd and makavli all rights pormoting after one week of death in first interviei terview
Suge talks about 2pac starting his own record label in this interview: Makavaeli Records, so it’s 💯 percent true , 2pac was gonna start makavali records and it was gonna be distributed by deathrow records , he was never going to leave deathrow records but he was gonna become business partners with suge and deathrow, shit would of been a hype
He is still hurting until this day.. He didn't play tbough.. Especially about Pac... Pac was his friend.. Two KINGS in their own right.. Suge really loved that man..
Free suge, I don’t understand why certain artists suge made stars and millionaires out of look out for him I’m from Los Angeles I was around that time and this man fed a lot of family’s and people forget the real a damn shame
Suge is a smart guy. You can tell he spoke from his heart. Michel'le always said Suge was a big teddy bear. He only did that hard image because it was good for business. Remember his parents wouldn't even let him out the house as a kid
Free him? Hell no. He's the reason that pac isn't around. Pac was a musician not a gangbanger he started a fight with a crip probably eager to impress the goons around him and that ended in tragedy
Deathrow was the most powerful company in the entire music industry, not just hip hop and rap. It could have been a billion dollar empire today. Their entire roster of artists could have been millionaires and billionaires. Sadly Suge made many mistakes. Things moved too fast for anyone to control. Sad how it all ended. Very sad. Most are either dead, in jail or no bodies now.
It is true Suge made mistakes, but if you listen to him, it is clear vultures he surrounded himself with took advantage of those mistakes, capitalized on those mistakes and exploited the hell out of his situation to take control of what he owned, what he built, from nothing dare I say (yes he used a lot of strong tactics).
Wow this interview is such amazing, Suge really show true love for Pac, i really believe they are like brothers. I really appreciate that Suge didnt say shit about no one, and let the heart speak. "Its gonna be a long live, cause there is gonna be no day that i dont miss him"
I never believed Suge had anything to do with Tupac's death but I believe he used him for a shield he seems like the you before me type. He says he loved Tupac but he offered Orlando money and Afeni had to go through the courts to get her son's hard earned money. Everything about Suge seems callous and heartless. Everything he says is questionable.
He may not have killed him directly but he definitely was a major reason of Tupacs death and death rows downfall. Watch dear mama documentary and you’ll all find out.
People say that Mr Knight Wa s Evil But Us As Outsiders Dont Know Mr Knight So Basically If I Don't See Stuff Personally With My Own Eyes Basically It's He Say She Say@@mayovanexrodriguez6753
just from watching this i can tell that suge wasn’t responsible for his death. that was his brother. you can see it, you can hear it. he made eye contact the whole time, his voice is so mellow and sombre and you can see it hurts him to talk about pac.
Man I remember this interview like it was yesterday... And it feels like it just happened. Like suge said the man is a legend !!! RIP PAC !!! We still ridin wich u !!!
You can tell Suge Knight wanted to cry bcuz his best friend died right in front of him. But sadly he can’t snitch bcuz the gang culture and the rules of the streets.
If Pac hadn't killed 97 was looking real good year for Death Row Pac was gonna start Makaveli records and they were do Death Row East and who knows maybe even movies
It was gonna be a great year for them. Those movies that featured Pac that came out after his death would have sold a lot more money and not be largely ignored had Pac not died. 😔
@@dujuanjohnson5025 yeah I was in high school back then was actually waiting for that to drop so sad outlaws would of been up there at the top of pac was still alive back then 97 98
Funny facts is... everyone hating on Suge.. but eeeveryone is watching this because they are most interested in him... Hate or love him... Suge was a force,a real force and therefore..undoubtedly a legend of his own kind during the 90s era.. the dude was a low backstabbing monster figure... but he made shit happen!!
Suge is a real one idc what nobody say. Look how well spoken he was so close to this tragedy. Y’all can kill that whole backdoor theory Suge would never. He’s misinterpreted by the media. Pac loved him for life and vice versa.
Jon Glez, You are 100% correct. Danny Boy said Tupac and Suge truly loved each other like brothers. Reggie Wright, Jr. said Suge had nothing to do with the shooting in Vegas. He also said Makaveli Records, Hammer Time Records, Doggy Style Records, Craig Mack, etc. were planning to sign with DRR - with DRR as the distribution company. In addition, he said “DRR was prospering, everyone was happy, and all the stories about Tupac being unhappy and wanting to leave DRR are all lies.” Take care, be safe and stay woke.😎
Suge might not be the best guy, and he definitely didn’t give the death row rappers financial freedom, but you gotta admit he saved a lot of naive rappers from being taken advantage of and I think he needs to be remembered for that
2 pac never dies his history , music always live goes on . He is resting peacefully in Ghetto heaven . I can’t go without a day without 2 pac music 🎶 Greetings from Ghana 🇬🇭 West Africa.
People forget about this but it's the truth Snoop and a lot of those guys didn't get any money on that label I've seen a lot of interviews I think Daz and kurupt took him to court and got like 30 million dollars or something
Crazy how Suge is looking more like a stand up dude as more information is revealed.Suge preached and practiced ownership of masters and publishing from day one now it’s the narrative of the culture.
I get the same feeling, I don't think he is as evil and cold-hearted as he is portrayed in the movies. I do think though that he kept that street mentality and was a gangsta so if he had to take care of business he would. You can just tell he really appreciated 2pac in this though. Perhaps had played a part in biggies demise because of what happened to pac
@@jonomatuu if suge did a couple of things differently he would be worth 100s of millions today and his record label wouldve been even more legendary.
