The Game I couldn't complete was Treasure island Dizzy... we had the whole household taking turns... then one day my Dad completed it and he wasn't even a gamer 🤣
STREET OLYMPICS by Mastertronic on the Commodore Plus4, lol I could never understand why my parents would be doubled-up crying with laughter whilst I was trying to go fast as humanly possible 😅😆😂
£45 for a hand-crafted work of art? He deserves every penny. 😁 26:31 That big lad right there is awesome! It's a pity there aren't that many mass market toys that have that same aesthetic right now. Love the retro sci-fi vibes.
I enjoyed this chilled out episode. Awesome work table and like the idea of a messy corner- looking forward to seeing how you'll setup your spray booth. Great pickups too - I have bought some cool items from the Mariner at Sandown but didn't realise it was him at the time :)
Earliest memory of hitting a wall was probably Bucky’o’Hare on the NES. Played it again as an adult and was possibly even worse at it… 😅 What a franchise, though; love the comic/cartoon/toys (and enjoyed your video!)
*👻GHOSTS~&~GOBLINS👹* ( -or- 🧟♂Ghouls-&-Ghosts👻 for that matter) Hardest Boss ( Mr. *_LOU~CIPHER_* of coarse) for me to finish off & send back to The Abyss. 3:00 Haha, got the same (Amazon bought) Airbrush-spray Armature ;-)) ( * What did _you _*_do_* to keep the Wire-handles from popping off the Steel Pipes??) Great Stuff, keep it up M8! ;-))
Absolutely love your videography style. Getting. Flashbacks to the toys of my childhood. Concerning games unfinished, I couldn‘t do R-Type, back in the days on my C64. Wouldn‘t even try to do Cuphead. My obsession is collecting the soundtracks on vinyl, so I can at least listen through the games. Cheers and looking forward to see your studio grow.
Excellent episode, they all are, aw man I got one of those coffin heads, their wicked, I got the devil man/mummy one. In 80s 90s I couldn't complete a lot of games as some where impossible to beat but recently I couldn't do Ori and the blind forest, I gave up on it 😂
A game I played constantly in the mid eighties but never completed was Saboteur on the Spectrum. I'll have to get it down from the loft and see how well its aged !
Ghost buster's for the megadrive when I was about 6. Got to the last bit once, and got that excited I accidentally crashed the game by pulling it off the stand. 😂
Awesome video Theo 🔥 room is looking amazing. Toughest game as a kid was bionic commando on the nes tough capcom game but I always want back to play it
Love the vintage footage you edit in between edits. I play many games and never finish any of them lol Right now I am in the middle of "finishing" Elden Ring, RDR2, Hades, and Fire Emblem GBA on my iphone's emulator hahah
Great catch up /update video bud. Looping on CBS Colecovision was my first game I couldn't finish. Then almost every game on Speccy, bar one where I had a cheat code. MDK on PS1, didn't know what the hell was going on! ICO on PS2, most dissapointed with not finishing as it was such a beautiful game. Yes of course Cuphead to the point I only recognise the vegetable bosses in that set, never got to the rest of em. At present Elden Ring & Hotwheels Unleashed.
I have the old Kaiyodo and McFarlane Trigun figures but the Revoltech ones are easily the best ones that've been released to date so that's a good get. You gotta watch Trigun all the way through at least once. Vash and Wolfwood's arcs are sad, beautiful, hilarious, and hopeful. Trigun was the first anime I can remember watching that was getting uploaded to the internet within days of airing in Japan (in RealPlayer format eww) and it's still my all time favorite.
Another awesome episode Theo! Always the highlight of the week. Not a big gamer but for me it was the Tony hawk game series that always got me the side quests, there would always be one task that eluded me!
Yeah you know what dude we decided to just have that down the sides to keep the weeds down and not bother having it in the front now, That being one of the reasons 🙏
I find as we get older, with those old games you can only afford to put so much time Into them before you just gotta call it quits. They just made them way too hard back then haha
Big Gomora is lovely. Lots of cool toys in this video. Corlenscope are amazing. Toughest game for me has to be burgertime. Spent lots of 10ps trying to gitgud. Defeated.
Chaos Engine on the Amiga was the game that frustrated the life out of me. I used to be able to get to the last level when I played 2 players with my mate but we always used to fail. Over 30 years on and it still haunts me!!! Awesome vid Theo. I always look forward to your updates. Keep up the good work bro 👍
Ahhh it's hard but I completed it last year for first time after being very close as a kid and failing. Great game, awesome character designs and lore too
A game that I loved, but found hard and gave up on (after getting very far) was the ps2 shinobi game. Amazing game, just couldn’t handle it all the way as a young teen. 😂
I remember crying at Mike Tyson's Punch Out as a kid because I couldn't beat Soda Pompinski. It was aggravating because I could beat Mike, Macho Man, and everybody else, but he always got me! Another one I never finished was Dreamcast Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage, which had a whiplash of gameplay at times but was amazingly satisfying.
A game I havent beat yet is the first No More Heroes, K think i got stuck on one of the last boss fights which i think was very tedious to do and so completely lost my will to try to beat it. Might go back to it in a year or two though.
Cuphead is hilarious. Really like the big green horned monster and those Coffin Heads are sick. 👺My nemesis was NES original system the Goonies. I loved it but never conquered it. Make more toys! You’re good at it and can’t wait to see what drips out of your head next.
Quackshot on the mega drive. Amazing game and very unique with the plunger weapon and how you used it to get around the level too. Very hard game so sadly never finished it but still a fond memory to this day
Love that table The game I never completed but loved was Mercs on the megadrive. It was so good but as a kid it was bloody hard. It was like an action movie so as an adult now I have watched the play through on RU-vid 🙌🏻 Great vid pal
Another great video man! I have two hard game stories. The first was Terminator for the Megadrive. Still, to this day I cannot get past that first level 😂 having to dodge grenades feels impossible to me. Second one isn’t so much a hard game, but I remember my brother who was 13/14 at the time getting his arse handed to him on soul calibur 2 by my youngest brother….who was 5 years old. Great memories of nearly dying with laughter at the older brothers fury 😂
Great update man, no better way to spend a Wednesday evening than on the couch with some biscuits and a new Slimehouse episode! Nice pickups too👌 I've recently become completely obsessed with the new Neca universal Monster and Last Ronin Turtles. You pick up one Frankenstein Raphael and before you know it you need a new set of shelves🤦♂️😅
I agree 💯%! I gave up on cup head too! But I still play it now and again because, I too, absolutely love the art style. The game is really fun but quite difficult too.
Have been to the last stage many times, one of my favorite games, but have yet to finish the last stage till this very date...Rocket Knight Adventures on the Genesis. Remains on my bucketlist for need to complete.
Studio's lookin' mighty fine Theo. You must be so close to getting it done now. I'm gonna show my age here, but man Jet Set Willy on the ZX Spectrum broke me. Still have nightmares soundtracked by an 8-bit Hall of the Mountain King.
Great vid! Enjoying the continued Toycon love! Once a year is honestly not enough. Re: game burnout, the OG R-Types on Sega Master System did it for me. Loved the art-style and everything about that game but could not get past (I think) the 3rd level.
I got to the final baddie in The Wind Waker...21 years later I've still got the save just before this fight. I have no idea why, but I've never finished it🤷
There was a Garfield game on the C64. Never mind it was difficult, because there were zero instructions I had no idea what I was doing. I played for hours and hours but got absolutely nowhere! I was probably 8 years old but even still!
Man I'd love those figures. Re the game I couldn't complete, has to be the original tomb raider, didn't have the walk through guide, so it was almost impossible to complete without.
That Custom made table is so fire, specially with the chairs! They look like made for it. Really lookin forward to the Evangelion building stream or video. A game I love but never finished is Battletoads of Battlemania on the Snes! Haha I everytime give up
I mean, there’s a lot of games I could never finish due to a lack of skill. The one I tried really hard at though was Ghosts and Goblins. I got an arcade version to play on the PS4 recently, and I still can’t do it!
The game I’ve never completed is actually Cuphead haha! I love it but it does my head in when I’m dying constantly 😭🤣 Another game for me I gave up half way through is Final Fantasy XIII, I love FF games but I wasn’t paying attention to the storyline and had no idea what to do next 😭🤣
Ahhh, I'd have loved the Coffinhead to be holographic, proper Visionaries vibes. For me, I could never beat Final Fantasy 8. It's not that it was too tough, I put way too many hours into the game, lent my PlayStation 2 to a mate and she saved over my saved game when I was right at the end and ready to go after the secret boss. Heart broken!
Defo checking out these coffin heads.... But a game I couldn't complete that comes to mind is alex the kidd, I couldn't complete the remaster on the switch!.. but I did complete it on the master system 2. Must have had more time for games as a kid!
Cheers dude! Honestly I think if been consistently close to burnt out for the past six months, I'm kinda just use to it now, very much looking forward to locking myself away for a bit now, not attending any events and just concentrating on working on my own projects 😅👊
Most recent game I couldn’t complete was Lies of P. I picked it up when it first came out and couldn’t put it down for weeks, until the final boss…no matter what I did I couldn’t do it. 😩😭
Theo the studio is coming out hella dope my dude! Ninja Gaiden on the OG Xbox was the most difficult/challenging game I’ve ever played, never got passed the first Boss Battle(I hate you Alma)! 😊
The game I was never able to beat was the old Battletoads game on the NES. I know it's considered one of the most impossible games out there because of the sewer surfing level, but damn if I didn't try so many times to beat it.
Morning Banging video as always, got to mention just how much of a legend Kev is, I've said it to retro ghetto too but Kev makes some insane things. Personally I think that chair will see a lot more than a daft 10 minutes kip 😅 As for the game, I'd say Tunic ( the one where you play as the fox) great game but towards the end it didn't tell you jack about what to do or where to go plus it was quite difficult, so I put it down and not been on it since, think I was only 2 bosses away from finishing it. Keep doing you dude Be safe be seen
2 c64 games still bug me a *lot* that I haven’t finished: The Original Monty Mole-game called … «Monty Mole» … and «The Last v8» Of those two … The Last V8 - such a hard game. But Monty Mole is a cool runner up, and the story of that game, first time I learned about the coal miners strike in Brittain … gotta love those articles in Commodore User magazine, so much knowledge for a 12 year old :)
@@slimehousetv One of the hardcore classics, sooooo hard - Monty on the Run had the catchiest music though :) Nemesis the Warlock was also a tricky one, sooo many good games from that time, getting the british Commodore User-magazine every month helped staying on top of things, and introduced me to british humor and the amazing drawings of Jamie Hewlett, good times :)
I've got cuphead not started it think I might do that now after watching buddy. Room is looking great buddy and can't wait to see your next toy creation 😀 👌
Shinobi for Sega used to drive me batshit mental not even sure it was a last boss the screen used to come over from the right and just fuck me over every time haha Fingers crossed for that box it's mint 👌
Loving your videos for a while ! For the game I couldn't complete and two times it was FFX, first time as a kid I was blocked in the frozen level & the second times I dropped because of the new shinny video games that released !
