Very cool car 6k red line

Thanks, the great thing about the car is that it doesn't have the Catalytic converter from factory, that's why the exhaust is also so tiny 🤣. I need to change all the fluids before I can really warm up the engine and hit the red line but first I am waiting for the new old rims what are now being converted so that they can fit on my car.

Hi, Argentina is a beautiful country. There are not many 323 GT's left. I was really luck to find one. Also I wish you a good restoration on your 323GT. Yesterday I started my GT again after longer time because in Mai it goes in to my garage so that I can fix the major rust problems and change the fluids, brakes, sparkplugs. So, new videos will come soon. Thank you for watching my video. Hola, Argentina es un país hermoso. No quedan muchos 323 GT.

My wife had one of these as her first car. She was given it but was sitting under a mango tree for year in humid climate. We had strip and refabricate a large amount of the body structure under the panels but everything was original. It was like driving a go kart compared to my mk2 GTI. Always flooded easily with the twin carbs but was absolutely amazing.

Nice car and nice video! I have a 323 1982, it´s my first car and really needs a lot of work because of the rust, but I´m trying to restore, the only trouble is to find parts haha... Anyway, it´s so satisfying take it back to life. -From Guatemala-
@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel
Thank you. I am glad to see that there are more people who like the 323 and want to restore it. They aren't many of the 323 BD series left. And sadly I have the same problem with part's finding. I needed one year to find a side fender indicator, actually I was lucky because one seen my car and told me that his uncle has something similar in the garage over 20 year's. The best way is getting part's from Australia or New Zealand but in my case nobody wanted to ship to Europe and if so then the shipping price was more then the part's itself. I will work on my 323 again in winter because it's in the garage. I wish you all good with restoring your 323 and finding all the parts what you need it. And yes the rust is a big problem on this model of 323. Focus first on the important structural rust issues and then go from there.

I had 1 of these 20 yrs ago, its an SS in Australia. Two 2BBL hitashi carbs off the 1100cc and i swapped out for two carbs off the 1500cc, stg 3 cam, Headers, and 2in straight through muffler. Lil pig was good for 220kph!Humbled LOTS of bigger cars. Good times, still miss it . Good luck have fun, they were called "Familia" in japan.

Thanks for the informatios. They aren't many around from where I am and the part's are harder to get and for that I believe that I need to improvise little. The exhaust is already now loud but I wonder what would happen with a costume one. But I don't rush it for now as long it's parkt in the garage 👍

The sedan version is also great but sadly harder to get in Europe. In general they are all harder to get nowadays. Mostly they are for some reason red color. I found a 1990 323 Turnier or Combi version as we call it but we will see. I do hope you find one and that is in better condition then mine.

That is awesome news 👍. What year is your model? Because production from June 1983 until the 1985 the moust powerful version was the XGI Turbo in the Japanese market in Europe was the moust powerful the GT as I have. But after 1985 you could get the GTX but that's already the BF series. Go check on Wikipedia, just write it in Google Mazda 323 Wikipedia and you will find it. There you have roughly the information what you search but bere in mind that they are not all versions mentioned because that dependent on the Market where it was sold. But from what you described you have the awesome version or maximum what you could get. And if it's 4WD then you have the jackpot.

@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel
@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel 3 года назад
@@kudalauthebat So then you have the XGI Turbo I presume what is awesome. For the Turbo check the Freeplay on it, there are plenty videos on that topic how to do it. Turbo can be rebuildet or you find an aftermarket one, or just adapt a similar one but that needs more work. But check first for vakum leaks on the old houses because this can also be a point why the Turbo doesn't spull up and gives the necessary pressure to the intake. For that you can do an easy Turbo system compression leak test where is also plenty videos on RU-vid. My first experience with a turbo was about 25 year's ago and the problem back then was that you could not find the necessary information. But now in the digital times that's much easier if you invest time and do enough research on the internet. I just wish I had the opportunity back then. But I am also thinking about to mount a Turbo some day in the GT. I do hope you can make your special Mazda work again and can give you only the advice that you connect locally with someone who knows your model car or already build some project car's and has the additional expiriens to help you if necessary with your Turbo. I had this luck year's back where I found a great guy and his brother and they teached me plenty and what's more important you lose the fear of working on your car. Fear is the biggest blocker of finishing the project car or anything else. Mistakes will happen but that's ok because with that you gain the experience and confidence to work and have fun with your car.

I think this is Mazda 323, 1500GT, 1983 facelift (not 1982), 58 kw, 78 PS! I had Mazda 1982, 65kw, 88PS (There are differences!)
@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel
@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel 3 года назад
It's the genuine 1982 1.5 88PS GT for the Austrian Market with matching numbers and paperwork to prove it. They made different versions of the GT depending for what market it was made. As example the GT version in Australia had rear disc brakes amongst many other things what mine what came from Austrian Market doesn't have. It's just simple they aren many variables of the GT depending of the Marked. Fiat did the same on Fiat Uno back then, I know because I had one and did plenty of research then. But you could tell me what your GT had that mine doesn't have and for which Market was yours? That would be a great comparison and Information.

@@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel Hy! I had Mazda 323GT from Austrian market too! I bought it in Graz in 1982. For the European market, I could choose something from additional equipment (2 version of Al rims, electric sunroof ...). The Mazda 323 underwent a facelift in January 1983 (The front indicators move into the bumper, the rear lights are revised). I sold my Mazda GT in 1991 widh only 42.000km, and I mourned for it forever. After 2015, I was searching for the same Mazda 1982 as an oldtimer for a long time! I couldn't find the same model 1982 with the same accessories! And then, finally in April 2021, I found the same 1983 Mazda 323 facelift (1500GT) with minor modifications. (The Mazda 323 underwent a facelift in January 1983 (The front indicators move into the bumper, the rear lights are revised) . My Mazda is new, although it is 37 years old, with only 1500km (from Autosalon Auto Macchi - Switzerland). I am happy now. And she is very beautiful too. But Mazda 323 from 1982 is very cool and more beautiful! (my opinion). I'm looking at your Mazda (It has all the features of the one from 1983 - the front indicators move into the bumper, as well as the steering wheel and seats like my 1983). So I don't understand! I have original prospects for the Europian market 1982, and 1983 too! However, Mazda 323GT 1982, 1983 are fantastic car! Today's plastic cars are not interesting to me! Greetings

@@nikofilipovic3016 Thank you, you definitely answered and explained allot. Your information confirmed that my GT has to be a Facelift for sure there is no other explanation. I bought the GT from the second owner and the first was his father and although the car had some miner accidents why is also the bumper and the bonnet different I always suspected that it's strange regarding some details on the car, compering of what I found on internet. I checked the documents from beginning to the end multiple times and finally found that the car was imported in 1983 but the Datasheet refers of the car's characteristics refers to year 1982 so my conclusion is the car paperwork was not fully updated back in year 1983 what misdled to believe all this year's that it is a 1982. So now I am strongly convinced that I indeed have the 1983 GT Model, and I am grateful to you for clarifying all. I still didn't official import the car because I need to fix allot on it so I can easily correct the year to 1983 when it's imported. But I need to get me more prospects of the BD series 323 Mazda to learn more about the difference. If you are on Instagram let me know would love to see pictures of your GT and talk more if possible. Thank you and may your GT serve you well and long because I was surprised how great this car's are and if I think I almost didn't buy it. The only biggest problem what I have to find a pair of fender indicators or at least the left one. They are hard to find used or new.

It's rare as heck on Europe and it is a original GT except the right fender. The GT badges from the fenders are in the car and all the GT hardware ad example the 5 speed transmission or the 1,5 engine with the dual carbs. And what is important the matching numbers with the GT paperwork. All the previous owners are also known. But with that sead it's a GT for the Austria market where I bought it meaning in other countries are for sure under the GT badge other gimmicks and probably also better. And frankly you are right that doesn't matter but I am curious what is the difference between the GT in your country and this one what I have. Is it possible to give me more information? I noticed for example that the Germans call the BD 323 version an DDR Mazda 323 from the former German DDR and because of that I have heard time finding the parts because I don't know how to sear because one name is also the Mazda 323 Familiare. And to that nobody ships part's from Australia to Europe meaning I can't even get the fender side indicator. Sorry that I wrote so much but it's hard to find someone in Europe who can give me more information about the Mazda 323 BD 1.5 GT as it's called in Austria.

@@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel Sorry mate it's not a GT.{well not like the ones I have seen.) Wrong door trims, no extra large swaybars front and rear. wrong wheels. No disc brake rear end. @@fredderf551 I agree with you for the Australian market was the GT version as it should be. Europe got the poor man's GT and this was the maximum what you could get🤦. But still I am impressed about the small things in the interior as electric sun roof, different small lights even in the dor lock what surprised the heck out of me. But Australia did get always better models next to Japan and I love the Ford Laser also. Didn't even know that it exists until about 2 months ago. As for checking on the wrecker I really appreciate it. This indicator is the hardest thing to get besides the Keys and locks what I need to replace also but that's a story for another day😅. The main problem ist that the post doesn't ship the parts because I found one guy in Serbia who has it all but can't ship anything. And by the way I love the Ford Falco because they are just great car's. So I have a 323 GT what is not a GT in Australia 😅. Thanks mate for all the great Information 👍. I was also actually surprised when I found the car with that engine. I had to google it because I only know the 1.3 engine. When I found out that this is the maximum what you could get I could not pass the opportunity. But I still can't find the missing Left fender indicator, it's sadly hard to get the parts on europe and when I find something I can't get it because of the pandemic lockdown. Last year I also found out that Ford sold in Australia the Mazda BD under Ford Laser with few modification's, what's really cool 👍. @@L.C.A.car_adventure_channel there were tons of versions of the bd mazda 323, Australia got a turbo carb version of the 1.5 called the white lightening ford laser, very unreliable and it reminds me alot of the early turbo 2.3 mustangs with the same blow through design. They drank oil, ran hot and well turbos burned out rather quick, same story for the white lightening. We got it as the mazda glc, I have a lx sedan, tan interior with the ice burgundy metallic paint. I can remember the blow trough turbo design and yeah it's for shure not the best solution. I hope your long search for parts will prosper soon. As for me, I am serious thinking to buy a whole working donar car what is selling for 500€ or about 450$, but the car is in general good condition and some body panel damage on the side and I need in the moment the side indicator and not the whole car 😅. The sad story is it's the cheapest Mazda and the only one about 1 hour drive from me and the rest is way further
