I'm not sure, buddy. But for one thing I'm sure for... Never buy a battery charged Digibook, especially from abroad. Definitely the classic Digibooks are the most worthy money spent releases with their beautiful artwork, their beautiful pictures and stills included, their BD/DVD and 4K/BD combo packs and the beautiful smell of the ink from the pages when you freshly open it. That proves also one thing... Physical media forever ✌️

Definitely seems like the battery completely died during the period when you didn't use it. It might be fairly simply to replace it. Very cool item & not something I've seen before. Take care buddy.
So batteries do not like being left for long periods of time without charge cycles. It is recommended to charge an item that contains a battery which isn’t being used, every 3-6 months to stop it degrading. It seems like it has lost its capacity with age and lack of cycles, it will definitely need a battery replacement for it to work again.
Thanks Todd. I'll ask some people I know are tech savvy. I'm sure there's a way. Do you recall the Halloween II Blu-ray steel book. You pressed a button, the eyes lit up and John Carpenter's theme tune played. The power did not last long. I gently nudged of the inner cover on the left hand side , that is the left hand side when steelbook is open. I easily replaced the batteries, you know the one's, the small button type one's. I placed in a good Duracell battery and I have not had any issues since. Where there's a will there is a way. Between us and perhaps anyone else looking at this we should solve the problem. It looks like what happened is what happens to cel phones and computers with the passing of time that the battery reached it's limit to recharge. You can also take it to places where they replace batteries from watches or videogames cartridges and systems. I must admit this is the first time I've seen something this cool!😊
