🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

@@disabledbabe paleo carbs and processed carbs that unnecessarily find their ways into American foods have different effects. Insulin definitely plays a role. If you don’t think they’re spiking their insulin much less than Americans, you don’t realize to the extent that carbs/sugar are forced into every food in the west. I lived in Zimbabwe for a few years and I have to say the people are extraordinary. We ones we went to a village with our convoy ( I am a nurse that volunteered ) and as always at the end of the day we were offered a feast. I politely told the ladies that I truly appreciate their food but that I don’t eat meat. They immediately went to oldest man and complained that my husband is a bad hunter and can’t feed his family. Short time later the elder found my husband and bitched him out for his non existing hunting skills. Needless to say I didn’t intervene and enjoyed my hubby being told off.

Yes which is true, my university’s pharmacy school did a summer abroad in the Amazon to study medicinal plants. I am also from British Guyana where most of our medicines are plant based. Lots of teas and herbs to boil for every thing you can think of.

No I'm too add. But I always thought that the cure for everything would be something ironic. Like everything natural. Fd up bc someone from Africa told me today how they cut her up as a little girl to "cure" her. Then later told her pretty much they had no clue what they were doing. I didn't want to tell her I grew up in the suburbs. And how 1 of my friends was a 1st generation too, but from Africa as well. Only, she didn't grow up poor. Both of her parents were doctors. She loves jeezenums

In Sicily they make stigghiole (search for it) with sheep intestines. Goat may be used too. In Turkey they make kokoreç, in Greece they make something similar I think. Soup with stomach/tripe is common in Balkans. Mainly cow tripe, but pig, goat/ship is used also. These strange foods are eaten in Europe also, I just mentioned few. Sometimes not that common, but still. Loved the videos from your country. It was fascinating. I've always wanted to visit Victoria falls. Now I want it even more. Greetings from Europe.
