The "Ultimate" cashing in on 25th rares by Konami, the card pool sounds daunting but it actually isn't! What do you hope to see as a new 25th rare in here?
Cyber Dragon Nova and Infinity, Fenrir, Saronir/Druiswurm and Lubellion, Upstart Goblin, Chicken Game, Rai-Oh, Harpyies Feather Duster, Raigeki, Anima, F0, Necro Valley and Punishment Dragon. For me personally pend cards (Endymion, Astrograph, Skullcrobat Joker, Beyond and Exceed - but feels unlikely to me) and some dino cards. Edit : Since Diabellstar is here and i guess, she is going to be in tins aswell, there are plenty of cards that i love here too like S:P, Horus cards, Thrust, Chaos Angel, Dis pater etc.
Don't forget about this little test they pulled on us. Enjoy the 20th GX Anniversary starting next year which will reprint a bunch of those hard-to-find sets like Phantom Darkness. Watch...
Kinda like it that they are at least experimenting with rarities/cards per pack/pack prices. Eventually they will get enough feedback to know the best ratios for future products like these (hopefully) COPIUM.
Konami is just a kid with a damn yo yo but the string is made of that one metal from dragonball. I am impressed by the amount of admissions on this product page.
2025 is the 25th anniversary of the anime adaptation in Japan. 2026 is the 25th anniversary of the 4kids anime adaptation. 2027 is the 25th anniversary of the TCG. Will it end?
If this doesn't have old format staples what's even the point.. any card in goat or Edison that costs more than 20$ or has only common versions should be in that 200 card pool
Treeborn frog, swag frog, toadally awesome, dark magician of chaos, the elemental monarchs, all the dragon rulers, call of the haunted, scapegoat, breaker the magical warrior, and many more need QCSR!!!!
Its crazy how Konami did starlights and collectors rare dirty - i can totally understand collectors being upset. I wish QCR wasnt similiar to starlight and then people can just choose the highest rarity for themselves or are pretty much balanced like with Imperm its Ulti and QCR. With the right cards in this set, my wallet is going to hate even more for being a Yu-Gi-Oh player 😂
The game isn't even worth it as a hobby. I don't see it as a collector's problem, but if you're not building a deck you like, why would I invest in opening boxes when the value of the cards go down in a year? It's definitely a baffling phenomenon.
it's their fault for overspending on an overhyped rarity. Just meant the big vendors ended up with them all and then could just inflate the price. Was a stupid idea to invest in them :)
Looks like I’ll be buying two cases of RA03 here too. I very much believe in this product and it’s very fun to open. I want them to keep doing it but I feel like this is probably the last we’ll get of it for a while.
I have a feeling this is just warming us up for the Yugioh GX 20th Anniversary they're gonna do next year. They'll reprint those hard-to-find sets like Phantom Darkness and do a new Legendary Collection GX version like we got this year. I'm positive this was them dipping their toe in the water to see if it'll work. They could stretch it into 5Ds then right into the 30th.
King of swamp needs to be in this shit. I like the idea of the set. And understand why they can't call it rarity collection 3 since they shit the bed short term on that one. But maybe it'll be like you say and we'll see RC2 spike long term
Tengu format! Need hyperion and agents, Six sams, tengu plant stuff, synchros, chaos monsters, old school cards, the rest of the exodia pieces, all the monarchs, thunder king, lightsworns, etc.
The issue with RACO2 was a double whamy as despite it having a better price per card the combination of a worse card pool and a higherbox/pack price made it feel way to expensive. This is why RACO1 went over way way better, better card pool and a more palatable box/card price. ""RACO3"" however I don't see as appealing, sure the near quarantied luxury is nice, but it has it's own card pool of 200 CARDS, this pool is a bout as terrible as this years tins are shaping up to be. Hopefully the main card pool of 78 card actually has overall better cards to make the luxury a bonus and not the main driver for the set. If only Kasmoney was more interested in experementing with rarity distribution in core and side sets, and not only on the 3-off "anniversary" sets. (Also it would be nice if they also stopped to shortprint cards on top of them being shorted-trought-rarity.)
@@Reaper61791it is dumb to spend that amount for a single card so of magia gets reprinted all I can think is socks to be you for all that spent that money on that card
@@House_Of_Champs yep I added an extra qcr as that seems to be the trend per box that I’ve noticed from the cases upon cases of each rarity collection I opened
@@blackbird7781 tell that to everyone selling boxes for over $30 off, the set wasn't good, nothing in that set has much value at all. it was horrible for collectors, and it absolutely fucked over stores. Just because, OOOO shiny doesn't mean its a good product...
@@blackbird7781 meta max rarity wise-sure, value wise? massive failure-look at the top valued card from the set, making opening sealed products not worth at all
last few years with yugioh product, I've been moreso focused on singles. This has saved me TONS of money and I don't have to gamble to get the cards I want. So even if this is 5.99 per pack, no thanks, I'll wait for the singles.
Oof, over 4 cases. Nah, I bought all my QCSR's from RC2 for just over $200. I think I'm only missing like 3 of the cheaper QCSR's that I just don't care about.
@@armastus1474 4 cases is for playsets of every card, it's like 1.4ish cases to see 1 of each in 25th and 1 of each in plat from the 200 card pool part. If theyre cheaper, might as well complete the OCG.
I would like to see divine Arsenal zues AA sky thunder.Chaos angel Blue eyes chaos max dragon red dragon tyrant archfiend majestic red dragon and majestic star dragon they havent reprinted the majestic dragons in 10 years.
Been selling off my collection since they reprinted the starlights from BODE. Rarity collection was the last straw. Investments my ass. I'll keep my LOB 1st eds though.
Do they know bulk is 1000 for a dollar? Ok so no quarer centry will be reprinted but they will make my collector rare Barron $-8 when it was $250 when I pulled it.
Calling it now konami hits snake eyes before worlds to make people buy fiendsmith for consistency, continues QCR only cards like Magia to boost a sense of “oh I gotta buy X boxes or X cases for this super rare collector card”, then once the dust settles from worlds they reprint most of snake eye, qcr exclusives and meta staples in this bonanza set to draw stores that dropped yugioh back in because it will be in high demand. They will also probably bring the try decks out to sucker new players for more money because it won’t seem as expensive to start yugioh due to bonanza and try decks when in reality snake eye and the meta staples from try decks will be powercreeped by next year. Rinse and repeat like they have been for years.
Seems like a W set structure to me despite the price. If you want value for your money, go for singles. If you want fun opening packs, go for packs, there is a guaranteed hit in there. Maybe one day we can move in this direction for core sets in the TCG too. Primary goal of opening packs was never making profit to begin with, otherwise 99% of people opening Pokemon packs would be crying.
@@House_Of_Champs that's fair too. Either way I hope to see rare, nostalgic cards get reprinted. Stuff that is not expected but still truly nostalgic for all ygo generations too
@@House_Of_Champs Cycling format could help yugioh greatly, but i also dont see how it would work. I mean, would archetypes never get support then? Or would old core archetype stuff get reprinted whenever gets support? Like, dark magician for exemple, he would need to be reprinted whenever new support comes around since deck wont play without him.
lol...I wonder how many stores took the big L just so Konami can say: oopsie...We promise you THIS time its gonna be different.....At the end of the day, as a player, I can select whatever the f**k I want to buy (and I certainly would like this product)...but stores CAN'T choose by contract...
Stores CAN choose, the problem more so is if they do less of 1 product, then they cant just order more of another. They have to keep ordering more of the bad to get to where they can order more good. And even then there are complicated distro/store relations etc
@masterflamewing234 konami pays me 0. I often also say not to buy their products which is why it will stay at 0. And I'm not trying to say it in a roundabout way, I'm explaining the roundabout way in which they do it
gotta stop watching the vid with all the math, mainly cos this set is another cash grab that is not enticing, truly happy that I diverted to Pokemon earlier this year
This is just... Konami is _really_ trying to get their money huh? Konami (tcg), Please. *_SHRINK_* your sets. Stop destroying what you had with rc1, if you are going to make a set like this _again,_ do it right. Do not bloat the set, actually reprint the cards that people need in the current format (and be accurate with time wizard reprints), don't hike the price of the set, and for the love of ra, *_stop short printing._* Also, if we're talking promoting cards for the secret slot, i want the r10 and r13 raidraptor xyzs.
I'm not buying none of this!! Singles only if I actually want something. At some point the community needs to not buy sets for like a year and force them to lower prices if they expect to stay in business
