I really think some people are acting like they’re slower than they are. Mechagnome is not a 6 cost card, it’s a 4 cost card provided you spend 2 on a previous turn, and that difference matters. It’s hard to dedicate 6 mana to a turn, it’s easier to float 2 mana on turns 2-4

Nah, frontloading the extra value is WAY better. Means you can actually get the added benefit while playing a 5-cost card on turn 5 instead of turn 7 for example. Inspire was really bad because you practically had to pay 2 more mana for the card, otherwise it would die before you could see any benefit. Forge looks good because you get a card that's "too good" for its mana cost, enabling some really strong swing turns, just like infuse, which I think is a closer comparison since you improve cards in your hand.

You pay the 2 mana before you play it but you can play it 2 turns earlier than a comparable inspire card. How exactly is that a greater tempo loss?

And then next turn you drown it again Since you cant draw with just dredge, you need to actually draw it Dredge is just putting the card on top of your deck from the bottom

This is the most anti tempo of anti tempo cards and doesn't actually generate value when you do the math.

Its basically a less rng reliant kazakus with no restrictions other than at *some* point in the game spending 2 mana on forge... kazakus has higher high rolls if you hit the absolute perfect combination for a given situation, but considering the significantly higher lowroll potential, on average this card is straight up better.
