Hawas is one of the rare aquatic freshy that actually projects and has some longevity for up to 10 hours on my skin. Most Aquatic, "freshies" die out to a skin scent after 2-3 hours.
Its still worth buying as long as the newer formulations haven't changed drastically. I have a bottle that's about 5 years old. It smells amazing even though it's similar to Invictus Aqua. It also performs very well. It has that plum and cinnamon notes that set it apart from IA. To me it's a year round worthy aquatic scent even though it's more suited for spring/summer.
@Ali Hazem Well for summer I have outside of rasasi hawas, i got dolce and Gabbana light blue intense, Azzaro Chrome Aqua and Chome Extreme. I do have the OG Acqua Di Gio but I don't use it collection Purposes. The new ones I want for this year are jimmy Choo Man Aqua and Prada Luna Rossa Ocean.
I've had a sample of hawas, tried legend in store as well as invictus and aqua. In this DNA group lattafa Najdia, although less aquatic, is my favourite. It's done its own thing but it's well finished and smooth. Projects and lasts. Leans more into the warm spice notes. Umbro ice is however the worst in this bubblegum DNA. I don't know what I expected 😂
I actually discovered the best layering combination with Pacific Rock Moss...I layer it with Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct because I love the Melon smell that first instinct gives it. Also I think they both smell very similar anyway so they layer together perfectly. Buy a bottle of first instinct and try for yourself
Looks like the grey bottle i just ordered. I got Aqua Di Gio Absolu as it was suggested as a similar scent but it is pretty weak in projection so when i finally saw this at a reasonable price i hoed on it. It seems it can be layered with several of the fragrances i already own also making it worthwhile trying.
@@tyystunnaSame. I think people just go nose blind to it because it’s so strong. Which is way it’s best not to spray it in front of you. The sides and the back of the neck.

Im planning to buy this fragrance but I'm torn, a vast majority of people in fragrance group are saying that new batches of Hawas is not performing that well? 3-4 hrs?
I personally love pdm greenly for summer but it is very pricey. A good budget option is Versace Dylan blue or montblanc legend spirit. I also love ysl l homme but it performs like crap so I have to keep spraying it. For winter I love spicebomb extreme, jpg le male le parfum and Azzaro most wanted parfum.
I get 12+ hours with loud projection with 2 sprays to the neck. Very nice sweet fresh aquatic scent. It can get a bit cloying in high heat or if you overspray.
It is edp concentration meaning it will work better than edt concentrations. While it may be a bit harder to perform in winter you can still pull this off anytime😄
Did you already talk about sandalwood in your previous videos about fragrance notes? If not I'd love to see it listed next, I'm looking for a sandalwood fragrance but I'm feeling conflicted about this note. Thanks!
@@SchoolOfScent I tried Guerlain Santal Royal and VanCleef Santal Blanc and didn't like them. I'm interested in a creamy Sandalwood, heard good things about Killian's Sacred Wood but it's not available where I live. (Also wanna try Santal 33 but it gets a bad rep lol)
My exact same question. However D&G was not that impressive when I tried it on a tester strip. I'm still looking for the prefect green and blue mix fragrance for summer and Hawas is on top of my list.
@@DuSeun nah dude I disagree...you gotta colour coordinate with fragrances. I will make a video about it sometime but I call it multisensory fashion matching fragrance to clothes White = vanilla, powdery, creamy, white florals, soapy, musks, icy cold fresh, coconut, some alcohols like white rum, absinthe, vodka, etc. Be careful what vanilla you choose though because some vanilla fragrances are brown coloured and they stain white clothes so pick the vanilla fragrance that are mostly clear in colour or very light coloured not too dark to avoid stains. Blue fragrances are typically citrus or aquatic...Citrus scents pair with yellow, green, orange clothes..And aquatic scents go with blue clothes. Brown coloured clothes - wood, coffee, tobacco, resins, benzoin, dark vanilla scents, cacao, caramel, some alcohols like rum, etc. Black = bold, sexy, dark, smokey, peppery, leathery, ambroxan, black fruits like blackberry, black currant, etc Grey is a harder colour to style - it's more metalic and mineralic, grey can also be treated like white and you can wear powdery or creamy with it too. Typically more sweeter than what you would wear with white since white is fresher and grey is sweeter. Best example of a grey fragrance is Prada luna rossa carbon it's about as metallic as it gets. However I find soapy scents can often fit in the grey category too like Abercrombie & fitch fierce and Prada l'homme, D&G the one grey or amouage reflection man. These work well with greys too So for white clothes = Prada l'homme, amouage reflection man, abercrombie & fitch fierce, lacoste l12.12 blanc white, prada luna rossa carbon, dior homme cologne (icy cold), invictus original, cool water intense, virgin island water, amyris homme, ferragamo F black, mfk aqua universalis, creed silver mountain water, ajmal mystery, D&G the one grey, ...also YSL l'homme because it's just basically fresh and classy.
Any type of aventus DNA is not safe to blind buy...no creed clones are safe. You don't have to really try aventus first though, you can try L'aventure before aventus and it really doesn't matter if you've smelled 1 creed clone then you've smelled them all basically. You will get the basic idea of what aventus smells like The only clones which smell different to me are intense cedrat boise, nishane hacivat, electimuss imperium and Navitus vivamor...Because these are focused more on being sweet and creamy rather than being fresh. Most aventus clones typically try to be fresh because the original Aventus is very fresh with a juicy pineapple opening
It is just fruitier version of invictus...but it's still invictus. So my answer would be no, it's not worth buying because it's just invictus under a different name and bottle
@@GrowingDownUnder If it is invictus then i definitely dont want it. I think it ok but no more then that but if you loom at rating on fragrantica it has a scorer of 3.65 and Hawas has a scorer of 4.39 so a really big different so people dont seem to think its the same at all
@@mixedpleasure4324 it's better than invictus which I will admit, only the opening is slightly different but the dry down it's not different enough really from invictus. I think if you let 2 people smell invictus and hawas blind they'd say it smells the same. Apart from the opening which is more fruity but the fruity opening doesn't last in the dry down it disappears quite quickly I wish the fruity opening stayed throughout the dry down. The reason people gave hawas a high score is simple, it's bias. They hate invictus for the same reason people hate nickelback because it's just kinda become trendy to hate on popular scents like dior sauvage, invictus and those types of fragrances. In reality invictus and hawas deserve the same rating on fragrantica probably niche snobs just trying to justify their love for hawas by saying "it's niche"
Ordered hawas from two different places, one was blue the other was a lighter blue. Wore it one day and was asked if I had on axe…smh. Overhyped scent not one compliment.
