Yoooo, I just put 2 & 2 together......that "Monk" who caught himself on fire that may have given Richard the idea to catch himself on fire, that same monk is on one of my all time favorite hip hop albums cover!! It's Jedi Mind Tricks 2004' album "Legacy Of Blood" and I only found out recently that's who it was on the cover of that album was a monk during a protest and set himself on fire even tho I had been listening to that album around 09' lol just never knew that

He has a point when he say's it could have been an accident. A high Pryor could have spilled the 5th of rum on himself, bumped into a lit candle and caught fire.

Well, I can tell you this. In an interview that I watched, Richard Pryor said out of his own mouth, I tried to kill myself, and that's that moving on. I don't want to say anything else about that, next question. Then the interview went on and they didn't talk about that incident no more. They talked about his new stand up special he already did and how he bombed the first day then killed it the next day. It was the stand-up special he did, wearing that red suit.
