As a kiwi, I’m happy for the spring boks. Playing amazing rugby and leading the way for the world. I would rather that you guys get better and us improve to higher level, than the boks come down. Keep leading the way!
Yes, but the backlash will come if we lose! And I’m just talking about Bok fans, never mind other nations 😆 I think most of us love the rotation and appreciate the squad depth - but this just seems a bit wild and reckless!
I think they agree he is the best guy to win the next world cup, but we did have some shock losses between world cups, Wales in Bloem is the best example of what wholesale changes can do, I think that game helped us win the world cup because we got lots of answers about players, but still stings a bit, especially because Bloem only gets a test every couple of years
@tappie34 isn't this more exciting, though? Sure, we could keep the same team and win everything, but look at what happened to NZ? They had the best generation of players for over a decade but never experimented with selections. Look at them now. They have no experience and have to rebuild from the ground up again. This bok team has the future starting and the insurance policy on the bench. It's exciting to see.
The boks kept the same team before like the Irish tests and the energy was not carried through into the second test and they lost. I think Rassie has done the right thing. Pick a changed team and tell them go match the team last of last week. This team is going to be so amped to out do last weeks performance. Another record score coming for the boks this week. Maybe could have even rested PSDT?
@@herbert-se6qg everyone was expecting a few changes, not an overhaul. This is risky by Rassie. Don't forget we lost to Wales for the first time in SA after playing an experimental team.
Completely agree. These guys give so much every game that they just can't commit the same energy every week. Switching it up is key, and the newbies run themselves dead to try secure a future spot, it's a great tactic.
@@pierreleroux2910 That's what we do around the braai ... these clowns have a (professional) podcast and are selling themselves as "experts" ... and yet they are being 'out-rugby-IQ'd' by average okes around the braai. Maybe they're just looking for attention to earn more RU-vid ad revenue ... clickbait.
I agree with everything you said but Fassie in the interview did say something that gives me hope...."we have been practicing against each other for 7 weeks in camp".
@@Aesyrbane Nervous about the game but I don't think it is risky. We should at the very least be able to get a bonus point, and I think the bench is the insurance for that. After an away leg in a country where we historically do not do well, we will still be on at least equal points to the All Blacks after their home leg against Argentina. Honestly, having watched the All Blacks game, I think the risk is if Argentina win at Eden Park, unlikely as that may seem. And if we can't beat the All Blacks at home with our full strength team, and the Argies home and away with the same, then we don't deserve the title.
@@Karma-qt4ji i think you’ll be fine mate. I’d back ABs as a chance to beat the Boks of last year, but this year you’re stronger. We’ll fight to the death but I can’t see us beating the Boks this year. Especially in SA. RC will most likely go to SA this year.
I love the chuckle brothers great rugby minds while totaly taking the piss at times the talk al kinds of areas of out beautiful game.love respect from this irish fan
Nobody talks about the expected stormy weather forecast for Saturday at Perth..Good selection from Rassie..5 kickers ,Strong runners and a handfull experienced guys...Save the best from serious injuries to play back in SA.
Agree with Zels about the meaning behind the changes. Surround the new players with experienced players to blood them in. What happens if Fassie has a bad game? How do we assess that? I hope he has a great game to show his class.
Yo Boyz dig your show man ,been watching for over a year now since just before the world cup . Every week you bring a cool funny and insightful show keep up the great work Boyz 👍. Bokke bokke Bokke all the way Cheers Mario Expat living in all black land ..ps they are panicking here about the Abs😂
Gents, after this weekend Rassie clearly sees this as the last chance for an experimental side to play in the Rugby Championship. He will pick his best against the ABs and a split between youth and experience against the Pumas away. Surely a risk, but exciting stuff
Guys you are missing the big picture. Would you rather blood the new guys in against the All Blacks or Argentinië?? This is the ideal occasion. All these guys are better man for man than any Ausie. Do not forget Rassie kept the same team against Ireland for the second test. Did not work. Psychologically a new team is hungry to play and prove a point. Secondly psychologically the Ausies are going to see this as a easy game. Rassie is once again showing guys like Willie le Roux that the boks come before you and when he had the chance to pass the ball and score a try, he opted to try and score himself and faild. Rassie brings you back to earth even if you have played 100 games.
Love a good Keo and Zels chat. Always thinking a little differently about how the coaching team is approaching the games, ultimately we will never know. But love how you guys can chat some ball, feels like a Saturday braai ♥️
At the end of the day the fact is, Rassie is willing to risk losing this game for the "greater good," knowing that even if we lose we can still win TRC. He doesnt have the same priorities as the fans, we want to have the best winning record, win 6 out of 6 in TRC, go the rest of the year unbeaten etc etc. Rassie wants to build for the future and make sure every player has 40-50 caps for 2027. To be able to name anyone in a team and still be confident of victory no matter who we're up against
My word, you guys have been watching rugby and specifically Rassie at work, for a long time. Do you honestly believe they took some passengers to Australia? The coaching team consistently DEMONSTRATE trust in the players they believe are Springboks
I like it, the next generation should be able to gain that "experience" as soon as possible so that our winning streak flows onward in the future without a year or two gap where we are down and out again, and they have to re-build experience again. Rassie is a genius.
First time we have locks, loose trio, energy in frontrow, centres that can create, also 9 and 10 if they play to potential. Glad at last de allenda is out. Fassie must come to party. Marco please show rassie what a 6 should be like.Go well boks. Shalom.
I understand you guys' thoughts about the squad but I'm excited to see what the new and young guys can do. Lets give them a chance to prove themselves, they will be hungry and up for the challenge. Lets get behind them coz they will get the win! 👌🇿🇦👏
This is a good move, even if this team loose against Australia. How will you know who is the future when you don't expose them. Only the Captain is not the best choice as Captain or player.
Regarding the front 5, remember with the Boks they only do live scrumming training, and from what we understand they are vicious and more competitive than in a match. So I am 100% these guys will stand up and be more than competitive. At least in the set pieces.
There are just too many things to read into with these selections. Which might be the point, more than one thing is being assessed. Possiblities are: - resting certain players. - testing certain players. - trying new combinations - giving everyone in the squad a chance to play to build a positive culture. - building player flexibility across positions. - putting Moerat, Sacha and Fassi under pressure to see how they react to prove themselves. - giving New Zealand less or more data to try analyse before our games. - letting Tony Brown have some fun Certainly a risk, we could lose this one. But similar to that Wales match where they did the same, Rassie and Jaque walked away with a lot more data on what they had at there disposal. Beautiful getting an early player assessment post WC.
@@MARKKEOtv thanks for the reply. I mean no disrespect, In fact I really admire how passionate you are about the game. To me, it is interesting how you know way more about the game and what it takes to be a successful coach than the average viewer, and at the same time want to win every game.
Rassie did the same with the team in 2019, when he beat Argentina one week, then changed the team completely the next week, against Argentina. Won both games.
I don’t know why everyone is surprised. We all know Rassie! I spoke to a few guys and I mentioned before the team announcement that he is going to make a lot of changes. Everyone needs game time and when exactly will they get that game time? Against a desperate AB’s team? Against a well performing Pumas team? Just trust Rassie. He is born crazy but he has the trophies to flaunt. He played 4 scrum halves in one game in the world cup and it worked out great!
I think Rassie sees and feels ahead of time,... his gut feelings are always spot on,... its not a chance he took to put this young bombs in, he sees and knows the potential they have, he's extremely confident in his boys, as he's decisions he makes, .... i will never underestimate a decision he makes, it always works,...also about trusting coach and knowing that coach trusts me to do what is expected of a bomb warrior, to plan and execute, them young ones understands Rassies psychology, and his councilling, ... It must work, whats good for the goose is good for the gander, its great team work.... We Salute Dr Rassies efforts, good work and outcomes❤👊🙏
Guys, guys, guys. Rassie has been saying for a while now that he wished they had a season of rugby after the 2019 World Cup where you can try different players. Now he has that and he is doing it. The man has won back to back world cups. We are playing winning rugby, so why are we whining about it. Let the man experiment. He has proven that he knows what he’s doing.
I actually love how Rassie is making you guys to work 😂 don't know shit but keeping on guessing 😂😂😂 I supported Rassie since Vrystaat ❤ never guessed or question the man 🏆i just believed someone can make a big difference.
We are definitely going to see a 9 Grant 10 Libbok 11 Mapimpi 12 Pollard 13 Am 14 Kolbe 15 Sacha This game We are one step closer to our final form of 9 Grant 10 Libbok 11 Ardense 12 Sacha 13 Am 14 Kolbe 15 Willemse Potentially the most deadly backline to ever play. Id also accept 9 Grant 10 Sacha 11 Ardense 12 Am 13 Moodie 14 Kolbe 15 Willemse
Kriel is better than Am and Moodie on 13 atm. DDL is myles ahead of AM and Sacha for 12. Sacha is far better at 10 than Manie. And Willemse is far better at 15 than Sacha
@hannesbornman1045 I'm assuming all players are at peak form. No offense to kriel because he's been the best 13 in the world for the past year but peak Am is probably the best player in the world and I'd choose him 9/10 times. Libbok is a better running and attacking 10 than Sacha is currently. You all just underrate and under appreciate him because his kicking is below par. Put a 90%+ kicker on the field with libbok to take kicks and all hate against him is gone and people will appreciate how good he is. DDA is a different kind of 12 to Am. Am destroyed portugal when he shifted to 12 and he's getting a chance against a better opposition to see if he can keep it up. If he hits peak form he fits better into the Tony Brown system than DDA does. I don't think DDA is going anywhere soon but it's a real possibility.
I agree with Z with respect to us not lowering the coffin and burying it last week and in particular giving them 7. We beat them up but were not ruthless enough on the scoreboard. This has actually been a theme with this Bok side stretching back. We did not score for the last 20 mins when we were pulverising England at Twickenham a couple years back. We did the same thing against ABs at Twickenham before the world cup, should have put 50 on and again vs Ireland at Loftus, didn't quite smack them by as much as we should have.
It would be boring if we kept playing the same team and winning easily. Good to see the youngsters/next generation getting a chance. The RC is not do or die. Would rather win 3/3 in the Autumn internationals.
Guys, Rassie has said there is no difference between his two sides. The guys who are starting will be ready, there is no better motivation than being in the starting fifteen. The big names who are left out will be backing their replacements which is the culture of the team so I think we should support the decisions taken and see what will happen. Who knows, maybe this team will put a big score on the Aussies.
Not joking, however, do the podcast hosts do like a prayer before airing? Anyway, keep it, appreciation for the sharing of knowledge of the game... Podcast for a world champion.
The boks have been very adaptable in tactics, and they are trying to be more adaptable in the 23, using their depth to strategic advantage. The payoff of developing depth and experience and managing game time could be a big advantage in the long term.
After watching chasing the sun and having an appreciation for the 'homework' done prior to games, this is going to give joe schmidt some head scratches, how do you even prepare when there are no match tapes.😂
Sommer starts off with a bang, thanks guys! I don't have to listen before I thank you, it's evident that the pod is growing with the Boks. What a time to be a Springbok supporter, it's the kind of narrative that I dreamt of as a young fan.
My two cents, we are not testing our players we are testing Australian rugby. It's a like for like team we are fielding and for Australia there can be no excuses.
It's a 33 man squad and they know each other as well as most have played together ! Watch how they beat the Ausies in better fashion than the first test ! You gonna eat your words , what bull , B /C team , make sense please , only 3 new guys!
Understand your concerns, what you fail to mention though is a couple of weekends ago against Portugal most of these players were involved at various stages of the game, and NONE of them disappointed? So it seems they have some time together in a game situation, yes, against Portugal, but that was still as international game.
The players left out are studying the all blacks and prepping what's the bet. If this team pulls off a win and we beat the AB I will be watching a completely different show 🤣 thanks for the show gents🍻
As an AB supporter I think Razzie is resting his main boys for the AB's just in case they get injured by a desperate Aus knowing the AB's must field their absolute best to ensure they beat the Argies.........thus heading to SA a bit cooked. Time will tell.
I beg to differ at what Keo is saying. The Boks are going all out to win that game comfortable. If that bench doesn't justify that I don't know what does.
I can't believe you guys were shocked at all the changes Rassie has made. This will be a running game if you look at the skills and talent of the backline. Insurance on the bench. Also, you say we didn't have the killer instnict in the second half...why risk injury when you are f@#&ing them up already? Still love this show!
I can't believe you guys don't trust Rassie and the boys 😔 Boks going to make a bigger statement this weekend🤙 time to put the world on notice and showcase our depth. Rassie is already building for the next world cup.
I think you guys are missing the the capacity that these guys bring to our game. to me it looks like Rassie is giving Tony Brown the space to bring some more variety to the Bok game.
I think the boys have come up with fair points, but also I like the fact Rassie is saying… you okes are here! Show me your metal, which is pretty cool moving forward, can’t wait to see how they go.
You guys are in for a major surprise. I am also comforted with your imminent statements next week when vindicating Rassie's faith in his players. Springboks by 15!
Exactly like Am..when did we forget what an exceptional player he is? Been listening to a couple of podcasts &those non-believers need 2b reminded that there's Nothing controversial about his inclusion in any springbok start
I think they mean that Bok game plan is different from URC teams. Wessel, Grobbelaar and Nortjie also play together at Bulls, but they not might gel as well right now. 🤷♂️ That said they have been training together against the 1st team for a month or more.
Actually the only tricky thing is AM is starting at 12 but i imagine he will move to 13 in 2nd half with Pollard at 12 that's 4 world cup winner's to support fassie. I'm more worried about new loese trio combination & locks
The 15 on field has amazing back up on the bench. Rassie can use any of his bench at anytime. How does Ausies fix their problems in one week? That is the real issue. I trust Rassie 100% for his selection.
I muuust bring this important thing to all of my fellow Springbok supporters...Rassie is building a versatile team packed with ability and rugby 🏉 know how ...Fact over and over and over Rassie explains to all of us perfection leads to Winning results... .please allow Rassie his plans then top his plans some respect to follow through ...give our Rassie time to show by way of his ability to get and make his squad work ... Beatrix Strydom
These players knew well in advance they would play this game. Plus, how many games should they go with the same world cup team? Every game until they break down?
Guys this team was always prepared for this game. It’s basically the same team that played Portugal bar a few players who are injured and suspended. So I don’t think there will be as big an issue with cohesion.
1 thing I agree with you guys Moerat should not be there specially as captain. He never should have been given a bok Jersey. As far as the rest of the changes I can say with all honesty I believe this team will get a 5 pointer going home with 10 points and be able to watch and support DDP with great pleasure. If Rassie can't back those players then why are they there beside the teacher's pet moerat. I pretty much predicted this change last night on another show and my argument was why did we took 33 players if they never gonna get real game time
