This video--which is apparently playing at the Jamaica National Museum [West] at an installation in Sam Sharpe Square--was created and produced by the Smithsonian Institution's Department of Anthropology for the path-breaking exhibition entitled "Discovering Rastafari," an exhibition on the origins and spread of the movement. The exhibit, conceived in conjunction with a 17-member Rastafari Advisory Committee, was in place from November 2, 2007 to November 11, 2011. During the four years that it was mounted in African Voices Hall of the National Museum of Natural History, the exhibit was visited by an estimated seven million visitors. Many of these visitors no doubt watched this 20 minute video--which played on a continuous loop during museum hours--in its entirely. The video was produced by Northern Lights Production and the exhibit was initially planned by Professor Carole D. Yawney of York University and Dr. Jake Homiak of the Smithsonian's Department of Anthropology.
I think our brothers and sisters need to visit Africa, visit the various countries. Relying on the Bible and not experiencing other aspects of original African Spirituality is a mistake Rastafari continually make.

There was a man from Jamaica who went to Ethiopia with $10.he still there, 30 years later. We as rastafari people don't rely on money for shelter, food. Or anything else. The almighty father always provided for his people 🙏. Some of us is blessed with money Some are blessed with wisdom. That's how we as rastafari people make it.
