This is one of many Jewish Cemeteries in Frankfurt. Created in 1828, it adjoins the main cemetery of Frankfurt, the Hauptfriedhof
Open weekdays & Sundays, closed on Sat. & High Holy Days. Men need to wear a hat. No dogs allowed.

Красивое старое кладбище.При посещении Франкфурта надо туда зайти.

Though the graves are architecturally different, the burial ground reminds me a bit of the cemeteries in NOLA. Thanks for the tour!

@@frankfurtonfoottours2361 It's rather the tomb-like, above ground structures of some of them and the oppulence that are similar. The very simple gravesites among those you caught on camera are reminiscent of some of the graves dating back to the seventeen/eighteen hundreds though. Maybe it's the atmosphere too--so serene--which doesn't necessarily apply to the "touristy" burial sites in New Orleans, but to others in smaller towns in Cajun Country.

Are there any headstones that show that someone has died before the year 1850?

Yes. The cemetery began in 1828, so there will be stones with the dates 1828.1829, etc.
