Check out a tour of our rat building and see a few ways of how we do things. There will be future videos on specific topics! Any suggestions please let me know! Follow us: linktr.ee/reptilefrenzy
Very nice, I'm working on plans for a building. Trying to decide on the building size. Not sure if going from 12 wide to 14 wide or 16 wide gives me any advantage in usable space. Length will probably be 24 to 32'. I'm in Ohio so the winter gets cold and the summers get hot and humid. The building will be fully insulated and have exhaust fans for the summer and heat for the winter.
I suggest going 16' wide. Ours is 12' wide and it just isnt enough space in the middle for the table and everything else. I eventually want to get a 16x32 shed. Also another thing is dont just get an exhaust fan, have the louvers on the opposite end to suck fresh air through. Quicker air exchange so it doesnt have to run so long during the more extreme weather months. I still need to do that for my shed
Superbe vidéo je suis entrain de faire mon propre élevage pour nourrir mes snakes et ça deviens vite envahissant si on est pas organiser merci de cette vidéo ça va beaucoups m aider à organiser tout ça
You are welcome! Yes you have to stay organized in order to keep up with everything. We appreciate you for tuning in and dont hesitate to ask questions. Thanks.
This is really amazing, I'm from Asia and I'm impressed by how you have done your set ups. Is there a way to connect with you to learn more from you? I intend to start a small breeding facility in my country one day.
Just wondering what age do you breed your females their first litter of babies and how many litters would you use a breeder female for before retiring at what age would you retire a breeeder female??....Thanx
Yes there is food in the section up front on the frame. There is 1/2inch hardware cloth stapled to it. The rats are able to get food through that size hole. They reach up with their arms and hold it as they bite off chunks. The water is the tubing that is off to the left side. Its a gravity fed system and those lines connect to water nipples that are attached to the hail screen. Feel free to hit me up on my social platforms for further questions and any pics I can take for you! Link is in the description.
Yeah it has gotten crazy! I buy food directly from Kents feed, 20 bags at a time. Costs me about $500 shipped. You may find a few people in your area that you all could go in on an order with.
@@reptilefrenzyllc3721 I’m in small town ND. Almost be worth it to find a distributor and take a road trip lol- $86 a bag is the pits! I just increased my colony so need to figure something out. Take care!
The ones on the breeder racks in the thumbnail are 28qt Sterlite. The maternity racks are 52 qt Hefty brand. Thicker plastic for the higher water volume
Reptile Frenzy LLC no just air conditioning but the small ductless split units do. The vents mounts on the wall and it connects str8 to the condensing unit outside. It’s comes with a T-stat. It’s small and takes up no space at all. I’m an HVAC tech btw. But I’m seriously considering breeding. I love your vids.
Just imagine the rats are humans And u killing a mom cause she not produced. More then 5 babies lol kinda crasy if u think about it but hey snakes Gota eat
We put them down if they produce less than 8 babies. Usually by then they are at the end of their breeding age anyways. Whats crazy is having a whole shed full of moms producing 5 or so babies each when they can be producing 10-16 babies each... also we breed rats for snake food, i dont recall humans breeding humans for food. Lol
