It's funny how there was this short PS2 era where Disney actually put out some great games

The GBA version has fantastic sprite work. Looks pretty damn good and unique, cuz usually for licensed games they'd just use pre rendered 3d sprites to save on development. Music is a banger also.

I’m kinda surprised that the ps2 and ps3 versions are so different from eachother, not talking about graphics, but how the level design and events in both versions are inherently different.

I grew up playing the Wii version. This game is so dang good.

I grew up with the PS2 version, I loved to play it as a kid. So much nostalgia. Didn't know that PS3 version was so different from the PS2 one, I thought these versions only differed in graphics, but actually even the levels are completely different

The Gamecube one is so much more vibrant and actually looks like a Pixar game, the environment looks stunning @ 2:08 on the GC/Wii (PS2 is the same version just with less fidelity than the GC version). Why on earth they decided to make such a drab, muddy, brown looking version on the PS3/360 I can only guess, the GC version would have looked amazing @ 1080p60, it does in fact look very pretty @ 1080p/1440p/4K+ via Dolphin, or you can run the original GC through the Mclassic for 1440p or 4K if emulation is not your thing, I like using my physical Gamecube games with RetroArch and super-sampling them to either 1920x1440p60hz or 1440x1080p120hz (BFI) depending on the game to play them on one of my 21" 4:3 CRT monitor beauties, SM:Sunshine for example looks absolutely stunning on the CRT monitor @ 1920x1440p60hz, I want to try out the Mclassic with original hardware on my CRT monitors too at some point. I also dig the GBA version, it has really nice sprite art and looks fun, the PSP version looks like a different version too, and it looks fun, and they squeezed quite a few pixels out of the PSP by the looks of it, might have to try out the GBA & PSP versions at some point.

I didn't know Ratatuile was on every current game system from 2007, that's a lot. Gba version looks way different but I'd expect that coming from that console

I didnt even know ratatoullie had a gamecube version. Really it seemz like ratatoullie has an oddly unique history in-terms of how different the ports are in different games. Theres like 5 different versions of the game, even if it is the same game

My personal favorite is my childhood the PS2 version. I was on RU-vid and I was watching some stuff and I came through a video which was ofc Ratatouille PS2 on PC and I asked my dad to install it for me and my dad spent 1 hour trying to figure out how to get it and installing the game.

I didn't knew about the ps3 and Xbox 360 version, I played the PC version, that I guess was similar to the wii or GameCube one, they look so much better, and they are probably less buggy, it was one of those that got an inferior version for PC, the same happened to the godfather game, they released first for PC and current generation and then they improved them on the next generation, but PC stayed the same

I have played the PC version of this game.

Its funny how past gen versions of this game runs smoothly in 60 fps and PS3 and X360 versions run in 30 fps. Even PSP tries hold 60 fps lol.

I think the Gamecube version looks worst. I still own that game on DS, I like it there with cooking mini game stages between. I once had the Wii version where it also was a pretty good game.

What makes me sad is that the PS3 version is totally different from the PS2 version, which in my opinion is much better to play than the PS3 version.

I had the PlayStation 2 version when I was younger. I will say the Xbox 360 version has the best graphics, it's not you but I don't think this video does the Wii, GameCube and PlayStation 2 versions justice due to them being analog sources not sure what cables you used for the video and if you're using a scaler like the Retrotink but play the game on a CRT (with quality cables either RGB SCART or Component) and you will be able to appreciate the graphics more

You forgot Xbox version. My favorite is the PS2 version. But I own a Gamecube version which I think its game case fits the theme of game more, having cute little yellow disc and all that but yeah, it's the worst looking version of the game on 6th gen consoles for obvious reasons. Too bad that the 7th gen version may looked better but doesn't have the same polish as the Asobo's 6th gen versions, some missing textures have gaps in them that makes the game look rushed and incomplete. On Asobo's versions despite having to deal with much weaker hardware it has much better art direction than Heavy Iron Studios versions. And then you have PC version.

Wii is the best imo. Slightly better texture res + texture filtering than the GameCube and 60fps @ a higher resolution. The PS3 and 360 looks bland, muddy, and washed out, I prefer the more cartoony look + it's a completely different game.

Even without labels you can always pick the GameCube version as the one with full quality effects but shite-arse textures 😔
