Chlorine gas was the first one made for war by the same man who invented artificial fertilizer, Fritz Haber, while working for the Germans. Mustard Gas was the Entent’s response to it and is arguably worse. The fact that this takes place in France is a bit strange, though it’s more likely that the animators either wanted to make it easier to see or weren’t as familiar with chemical warfare.

There’s a random bit of irony to this review! High Boi keeps referring to Skinner as “Napoleon” because of his short stature and Napoleon complex. Makes perfect sense. Skinner is voiced by Ian Holm. In the 1999 film adaptation of George Orwell’s book “Animal Farm,” Ian Holm voices Squealer, the pig who is second-in-command to the evil leader pig, Napoleon. This was yet another hilarious review, High Boi! Thank you for the awesome content!

13:45 the reason for simplicity of the serving size is simply that the meal is meant to be tasted. You are meant to order multiple courses if you intend to fill up, though ultimately you are meant to savour the flavour of each dish, rather than eating purely for sustenance. not so fun fact: Gusteau the chef was based off of a real man from france that had got his restaurant to get a *very* high rating from an extremely high quality critic. throughout the years of running his now-successful restaurant, the quality began to drop slightly, which caused the critic to re-rate it again, removing a star. this caused the man to go into a deep depression, and he eventually committed. So in a way, the term “died from a broken heart” that was used for Gusteau’s death, was really just a kids movie-friendly cover up for suicide. ..Yeah. Wish I didn’t know it either.

@yqya
@yqya Год назад
I loved this movie, and I thought it was brilliant if this was the case, but after rewatching specific scenes of the movie, I am confident this is not the case. Firstly, the setting is different. The most noteworthy difference of the two houses is that there is a pipe attached to the wall next to the stove in Ego's flashback. It was not there is the first house. This would have to be a major remodel for those two houses to be the same. Secondly, the ages do not match up. In the very beginning of the movie, there was an intro on the life of Gusteau, and Ego's scathing review of his book. Usually one does not review a book after it has been out for decades... But lets that unlikely scenario is true. Then you have to consider that Ego was considered France's top food critic, and gave his scathing review of Gusteau's to remove one of his stars. That would mean that the youngest that Ego could possibly be is in his early to mid 40's (bit of guesswork, but considering he also has quite a bit of white hair, and wrinkles, I doubt he is younger by too much if at all). Ego's flashback was when he was around 10 years old. At minimum the book would have had to be written 30+ years ago. Gusteau would need quite a bit of training to get to the level he has gotten to, and then open his restaurant, and then write a book. So the youngest Gusteau could possibly be is around 60 years old when he published the book. All those pictures of Gusteau in his office, tv appearances were of a much younger man. I grant you, its possible that he died at the age of ~65+ year old, but it just does not seem likely. Lastly, I just don't think that its likely that Ego would have made a harsh criticism of the book if it was the one his mother uses for her recipes. He would've seen it around the house and whatnot. I prefer your theory but I just think it is very unlikely. Shame if you ask me, because I thought it would've been perfect. That lady may have been his mother, but she moved if she is. I also don't think that the book is that old for it to have been part of Ego's childhood.

@fatalheart7382 Год назад
Absolutely, but just as people can put different words and experiences and thoughts together, so a good food critic can see food through multiple perspectives and end up turning you on or off to an experience yourself. Well, objectively there are some objective merits to food. Mold, bugs, animal droppings, undercooked poultry, etcetera are generally seen as objectively terrible things in food. Also, there are some things that really just don't go together. Milk with pickle juice, or ice cream with ketchup etc. Also, I've seen plenty of absolutely horrific recipes on the internet. Like, some to the point I'm sure the person is trolling because of how terrible it looks and seems.

How many pixels does Remy take up in the screen, can that then be taken to be the length of an average rat? Can trigonometry be used to calculate the distance from him to the shotgun to work out the size? Or perhaps simpler, assume the shells are normal size, how many pixels do they occupy compared to the length of the shotgun? Is this consistent with what we would expect? Even more simply, is the shotgun even ten times the length of the shells because if it isn't the whole point is moot.

If you ever did dishes in a restaurant you'd know 2 things. Those industrial dishwashers are first of all scalding hot, and secondly have a lot of very dangerous chemicals in them like concentrated bleach. It would at the very least injur the rats too much for them to work, but i guess it would sanitize them for the most part. As long as long as they don't bleed or get any bodily fluids etc anywhere i guess the parboiled chemically burnt rats would be sanitized?

13:30 the scene with the dish washer and the rats, that wouldnt really work because the temp of those machines is normally at 60'c to 70'c or 140'F to 158'F in freedom units, plus add in the chemicals designed to basically liquefy whatever's on the plate and run alot longer then a few seconds, those rats will most likely be dead or suffering from serious chemical burns or burns from the temperature of the water. you could argue the case for just a rinse cycle and adjusting the temp on the machine but you would be looking at, at the very least 40c-50c max (104F-122F) but that wouldnt really kill any of the bacteria or germs that they would still have, er go everyone in that restaurants would be heading for there nearest hospital or toilet for food poisoning.
