Familiar faces and new allies -- love it!

Rifts between planets of all the R&C games is a genius way to appeal to long time fans with nostalgia and familiarise newcomers with what made this series so fantastic to begin with. I just hope some characters from the ps2 era that haven't showed up in the future saga now appears in this game like Angela, Sasha and maybe even the robotic galactic rangers from up your arsenal, I liked those guys.

Im glad i grew up with this franchise. The first Ratchet and Clank game i played was crack in time and now this has returned.

Coming back to this two years later. Hope we get another R&C game! Love this franchise!

It's weird but i think the very slight stutter when transitioning between worlds actually works in it's favor, it demonstrates that it's really running in engine, in real time.

Wait is it just me or does Clanks head look bigger at the end of the trailer compared to the beginning? I assume the models are still unfinished.

I'd really like to see the gameplay segment in a full 4k upload. The PlayStation's stream quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Dont forget to add a customuzation option for the weapons, maybe clsnks look and for ratchet armor like a crack in time Pls do it

There are so many possibilities that could happen in this game! Dr. Nefarious successfully turns squishies into robots, Gleeson Vox kidnaps every hero for his show, Drek continues his dastardly business plan, Angela Cross escapes with the proto-pet or worlds would end by the proto-pets which shuts down Megacorp, large corporations taking over parts of the galaxy and citizens can only buy from them, or even ratchet and clank never meeting in the first place! Edit: I just thought of this, I know it's a long shot but have Ratchet and Clank go into Jak and Daxters world! Idk how Naughty Dog and Insomniacs relation is currently, but it would be so cool!

I'm only 15 but my childhood was basically Ratchet and Clank. I claim to be the biggest Ratchet and Clank fan ever and that's simply because I AM the biggest Ratchet and Clank fan ever and I promise you, you can't prove me wrong. I have been looking forward to a sequel to Into the Nexus for 4 years and even 7 if you consider when Into the Nexus came out. I've seen both the gameplay trailer and the gameplay footage and I just wanna say that I'm amazed by what you guys have done. I'm so excited to play this game when it comes out. I literally screamed with my window open when I woke up this morning at roughly 8:30 (Central European time) and heard the news. I just wanna say that I'm not usually very trustful of companies because usually they just use people to make the most amount of money but you guys are practically the only company I trust in with all my heart. You guys at Insomniac have really been trying to deliver us fans the best of the best and I thank you for that. I have actually thought about working at Insomniac when I'm older in the past but I'm not too sure I like the LA weather nor the city. I still remenber trying to see how you could sign up at Insomniac when I was arond 8. Then there's also problems like healthcare but if I could work there I would. I even made made a few videos about Ratchet and Clank on my channel and every 12th April I do a speedrun of Ratchet and Clank PS4. The only complain I have about Rift Apart is that just like the previous game no one seems to shut up lol. Other than that, I have 0 complains. I actually don't have a Twitter account but I'm gonna create one exclusively to Tweet you guys today about how thankful I am for everything. I really appreciate everything you guys are doing and I can't wait til this game comes out. Thank you for making my childhood. Only PS5 game thus far I'm actually hyped for! So happy to see Ratchet and Clank again! And thankfully a new game and not a remake!!

I'm a fan since little me played the first one on his ( still working! ) Good old PS2 Phat. You made a gift to a whole generation of fans with this. Pretty hyped !

After pulling out my ps3 JUST to purchase every Ratchet & clank game i'm even more excited for rift apart. seeing the improvements that happened throughout the first 3 games regarding controls (adding strafing, making the challenge mode more rewarding etc.) i can't wait. rift apart was probably gonna be my first ps5 game either way (should i ever get one that is) i'm soon gonna move to gladiator (deadlocked) and i can't wait tbh. that game alone was probably 90% of my childhood gaming.

@Insomniac Games, are you guys going to upload the gameplay portion in 4k? It's not on the Playstation channel, and it's what I really wanted to see from the presentation in higher resolution, since the 1080p is super compressed.

I wonder if it'll be a continuation of the previous game based on the movie or the original R&C game timeline.

I have a suggestion for this game a boss battle in water in of which ratchet we'll have to walk on the walls with his gravity boots to fight the boss battle he'll go slower than usual since there is water and he cannot go any higher than the water his head would have to be above water for him to shoot and he can pick the weapon he is going to be using while swimming and maybe you could make him choose when he wants to hook onto the wall and when he jumps he unhooks or something

I downloaded Ratchet 2016 on PS5 with the upgrades.... I'm so glad I held off on playing till now. It looks amazing and is so much fun...I'm getting flashbacks to when I played the original years n years ago...such a cool feeling...thank you insomniac!!👍🏼

Insomniacs been working hard!

Now, I feel motivated to get back into this series. I was playing the original trilogy on my PS3. But I accidentally erased all of my save data. Which means I have to start all over, which was very rehabilitating. To make things worse, while I finished everything I wanted to do in Tools of Destruction, I didn't finish everything I wanted to do in A Crack In Time. Plus, I never played Quest For Booty, nor have I begun playing Into The Nexus. Mostly, leveling up the weapons, or purchasing upgraded ones, and raising the funds to do gets really tiresome after a while. But this new one makes me want to continue where I was.

That city at 1:28, is it not the city where Jak was born which appears in Jak 2 and 3 games? The structure and vehicles looks very similar. Clank even says: "where are we?" like if it was a planet (among all they have already been) that they never have stepped into. Judge me, but it makes sense and could be an easter egg
