Rating EAS alarms I guess 

Just to tell you a story, I was listening to sirens and eas alarms, and got an amber alert right after.

Fun Fact: Japan is not scary at all because they care about people’s anxiety

japan is so unscary because its not meant to be scary, its designed to keep everyone calm and prevent panicking

As a Norwegian I heard this while camping with friends from Austria and America and when I heard this we all ran to my mom's home sprinting, and I don't care if I live 19 miles away or 19 feet away we would be sprinting and we thought Germans invaded and got revenge for winning WW2. And this was 3:00AM at night and we were in our tents in the woods. Bad idea.

Ok, relax, here in Brazil ( I live here ) this sound hasn't been played in the last 30 years if I don't know, besides that there was no war with Brazil after the second world war.

It's good that you haven't been scared by the one in Mexico, I have to listen to it every time there is an earthquake or a macro-earthquake (this is a drill for the entire CDMX in which all the alerts sound)

The reason why it’s so calm in Japan is because anxiety is common there and they don’t wanna cause a huge panic.

Fun fact: the Japanese, Mexican, and Chinese alerts are all for earthquake alert systems. So it’s all fun and games until you associate them with shaking. The Chinese one is counting down from 60 to 0 in 2’s to when the earthquake’ll start so people can find a safeish place.
