On every suit, there’s 3 good recolors and then there’s one that just looks like straight cheeks

the red and black advanced 2.0 is so good it should be his suit in sm 3

I feel like like the mustard suit was a light homage to that old Halloween costume that people debate inspired Spider-Man’s first appearance.

Best recolor is Red and Black Spider Punk cause it’s outright better than the original (plus the pinkish red with the black and grey is so good looking on Spider-Punk)

The darker classic suit variant was my main suit for most of the game. I just find the cherry red and navy blue more appealing than the orange-ish red and sky blue that they used for the default. Also, it would have been cool if for the white variant of the Spider-Punk suit they replaced the red accents with pink and made the shoes teal as a nod to Gwen.

I saw that DanTDM loves the yellow advanced 2.0 and i was so confused that anyone would unironically wear the skin

I think the purple scarlet spider 1 suit is supposed to be a reference to chasm, which makes me wonder even more why they made the spider white

It's weird how many recolours they fumbled by just getting the wrong colour on a couple components.

The purple alt for the classic black suit was one of the few suits I had on my wish list prior to release, so it’s really nice to have it in the game. I’ve always preferred the black suit with purple shading, since it’s a nice compliment to the black and it almost gives the impression of spidey’s base red and blue colours getting mixed into one suit (if that makes sense idk how to explain it). Best suit in the game imo :)

The Blue Superior Spider-Man suit is cool imo and it also reminds me of Blue Beetle.

I have to say, sometimes a simple color swap should just be implemented here. The lines that were hidden as an off tone color didn’t need to be brought out for most of these suits.

As much as I love Spider-Man 2; it really expanded on some concerns that were raised from the DLC of the first game with their writing and some design choices. I really hope they go back to what they did so well in the first base game, they took their time and really made you feel like / relate to Peter Parker and care about the other characters. Old character design for Pete and MJ also had SO MUCH more emotion and character. PS4 Peter was literally the perfect representation of Peter Parker; the nicest guy ever who has all the power in the world but acts in the interest of everyone but himself all the time

any of peters red and black suits is S for me.

I think the first arachknight suit looks like Batman's suit and the mustard one seems to reference Daredevil's yellow and red suit

I’ve figured it out! The white log classic suit is a Web-man Web-man! It has the same shade of blue and red, just swapped. And then the spider logos are white to be opposite to the Web-man colors black logos!

The new blue suit IS a Fantastic 4 suit, that's why I'm annoyed he doesn't have the 4 on his chest. They also could've at least given him the same Spider logo's that that suit has had, but they made them weird.

Actually been waiting for a vid like this. My only things it that they can overdesign a lot. Just a lot of lines kinda like the mcu suits. Or it’s just too busy in general. I wish they would make more simple and aesthetic suits if they are gonna make new ones kinda like How modders do it. Like there’s so much more detail in the smaller things but it doesn’t look crazy or anything. They do a amazing job making their own suits by themselves.

Suit styles I would’ve liked to see: White and gray/white and black Arachknight as an homage to Moon Knight Black and red classic black suit as an homage to Randy Schueller’s original design Red and blue superior Spider-Man Scarlet Spider 1 but with a black hoodie with a red spider Advanced suit 1.0 or 2.0 but with black accents instead of white Black and red or red and blue anti-ock suit Secret Wars Civil War or whatever it’s called but in Falcon’s color scheme. MCU colors or comics colors, either would work Black and gold saving lives suit

Look I understand the Advanced Suit 2.0 yellow recolour is not great, but finally having a yellow suit Spidey that isn't just black with yellow accents is a god-send for a yellow fan like me.

I think what they where trying and failing at with the classic suits 4th color is to basically turn the classic suit into the advanced suit which with its formatting would’ve never worked

My suggested recolours that could be replaced with the bad ones for the third game. Advanced Suit 2.0-4th slot, keep the white, replace the yellow prussian blue. Classic Suit-4th slot, replace the red with a white & the blue with a black and kind of an inverted black suit. Scarlet Spider III Suit-3rd slot, replace the yellow with a lollipop purple. 4th slot, make the red logo blue. Advanced Suit 1.0-make the blue & red & the red blue & saturate the colours. Make it look like Sensational Spider-Man. 4th Slot, use the Negative Zone suit from the fires game. The Kumo Suits stay the same 2099 Suit-4th slot, make the purple a steel blue & the blue with a red (make it look like the suit from Earth-TRN660). Scarlet Spider Suit-3rd slot, make the purple into a royal purple, make the hoodie an eggplant purple, & make the lenses, muscle lines & logo aqua marine (make it look like CHASM) Superior Suit stays the same. Anti Ock Suit-Keep the 2nd, 3rd & 4th slots the same as the default colour. But change the yellow to a blue, red & green. Ararchknight Suit-2nd slot, change the lenses to orange like the suits secondary colour. 4th slot, change the yellow to a white & the red to a gold (make it look like Moonknight) Spider-Punk Suit-3rd slot, change the lenses to the same red as the rest of the suit. The Civil War Suits stay the same. Iron Spider Armour-2nd slot, replace the gold to a silver (make it look like the Iron Man Silver Centurion armour). New Blue Suit-4th slot, make the lenses the same blue as the logo & lines. Life Story Suits stay the same. Last Hunt Suit-4th Slot, replace the white with a blood red. Saving Lives Suits stay the same.

I want some more stuff about the chameleon from insomniac, maybe by the next game Spider-Man swiped some tech from chamelon for us to design our own spidersuits or choose custom colors for them

Like the one thing the costume has going for it is its black and yellow two-tone look, but for some reason the devs decided to go "no trust me guys make all of them one singular color it'll be peak"

I think that the yellow and white color on the advanced suit could be a loose call back to the prodigy suit and the 2099 purple and blue could be a reference to spider-man 2099(1992) special 1 where in one of the stories(specifically one named eye spy) included a recording of miguel is seen in a similiar color palette its a far stretch but it looks a bit similiar despite being a lot darker in the drawings lol
