Girl nooo ! Ripping acrylic off your nails isn't normal, find a place that offers acetone soak offs. Your nails are not ruined from having acrylics, they're ruined bc someone ripped them off your natural nails w a card ??😭😭
Came here to say the exact same thing people always think getting your nails done ruins your nails when in fact, it’s your tech that ruins, your nails by doing things like ripping acrylic nails off that’s just disgusting and then have the nerve to charge for that
They do that when they're lifted already and going to be cut down. I think these days they charge to soak off. The metro card is such a NYC thing for decades.

Yeah I just started doing my nails myself because I am tired of these kind of nail salon experiences. I’m sure the nail tech knows that removing tips like that is wrong and it can cause you discomfort but still does it any way. So aggravating 🙄
If a “licensed” nail tech tries to remove your nails with a card LEAVE. It’s not getting better from there. Very very against their training. Please do your nails at home. It’s so cheap and easy these days
Ekkkk they get the metro card out it’s your sign to walk out! That is extremely damaging and may be quicker but will rip off layers of your natural nails which you can see happened 😭😭😭
Your natural nail beds weren't destroyed from having acrylics but rather who ever first filed your natural nail beds did it with a heavy hand and ripping your nails off is bad. So baaaaaad. That's so not cool. Good nail techs won't rip of your acrylics.
