Most of them have taken *ahem* heavy inspiration from Pokemon, others look somewhat original or a mishmash of existing pokemon with maybe a different color sceme
@@raiden2901 While I agree that the exact amount of teeth is pretty weird, we can't really say that Galarian Meowth's face is an original and unique concept
@@friendlyneighborhoodnoobno, it's not, because nothing is, but when it literally looks like they took the render, which it does look like, not saying they did, it becomes a problem
Grintale is more of a Cat Bus than a Galarian Meowth. Down to the headlight eyes. I'mma call a Biggs and Wedge here. We have a Biggs and Wedge, that isn't referring to Final Fantasy, but to Star Wars.
@@chippitheaccentguy8018 sure both look like the cat bus, the comparisons were already made when G-Meowth was first made public. Doesn't change the fact that they literally copypasted the face from G-Meowth lmao
@wall-knight2830 except they technically didn’t do anything wrong, even the Pokemon company agrees. They said they would “keep an eye on them” just so people could stop sending messages telling them to sue
The fact that the second bit has to be said saddens me. I’m not the biggest fan of Palworld (both from a Pal design standpoint and a general ‘it’s not the game for me’ standpoint) but death threats are never warranted
Bro sheep are not round balls, There is multiple different ways to make a cute small sheep creature but they just CONVENIENTLY MADE IT A SPHERE SHEEP, You can’t be serious man come on
Blud u saying "have u ever seen a sheep before" have u ever seen a wolf before direhowl looks like a wolf lamball looks like a ball of wool like wooloo.
I've said this on someone else's video about the grass rabbit. But it's an easy fix in my eyes. Make the ears go down give it antlers. Make it a grass jackalope.
No because grass soccer bunny just makes sense like a bunny's main thing is there strong legs so soccer and you always see bunny's in the grass so grass
And yet any competent artist can make a dire wolf that doesn't look so similar while also very obviously being a dire wolf, and lycanrock isn't literally just a direwolf, so the fact that this normal looking animal is designed to also look so similar.... I'm sorry but it's dodgy, it's not worth getting upset about, and isnt worth death threats in any universe, but pointing out the similarities shouldn't start an argument
My thing with The Sheep pal and Wooloo is that they are both sheep that turn into balls to roll away. They look different but are the same concept with the same animal. They’re both adorable
There is like a lot fakemon who dont look like original pokemon, and even more monster catching/taming games that their own monsters that dont even look like existing 1k pokemons?
@@raiden2901 there are also almost 2k digimon and 300 Yokai from Yokai Watch. If one of the creatures doesn't match a pokemon, its going to match a different creature capture entirely.
@@cyberspace3873you can be based on the same thing yet look different, ask every artist, and it literally looks like they took g-meowths face and put the texture on the pal, I'm not saying they did, but it's what it looks like
people mad about some Pals looking like pokemon but if they were different types as if Pokemon themselves hasn't had regional variants for the better part of a decade now
The difference is Pokemon can't steal designs from itself lmao, that's not how stealing works. Doing the same thing while simultaneously taking someone else's design and passing it off as your own is a whole different story. Like, these two things are so astronomically incomparable that it's funny to even say this. (I'm not vouching for either side btw, just saying this comment is entirely illogical.)
I see the similarities between Anubis and Lucario, but that might be mainly due to the possible insperational content being the same (The Palworld equivalent is quite litteraly their take on the Egyption God(?), especially with the name being the same)
It is more of a just wolf than lycanrock and its fur is shaped differently. It reminds me of 3D models from MMORPGs more than anything. It is just a wolf.@@crybaby6845
To paraphase you, have you ever considered that there is, like, many monster catching games, each with own wolf design, yet palworld one looks very close to a pokemon?
You complain that people dont know what a sheep looks like, then turn around and do the same thing with not knowing what a wolf looks like... cannot believe you gave direhowl (a pretty generic wolf overall) a 10/10...
I love how you use the "have you ever seen a sheep before" argument for Lamball. but have you ever seen a wolf before? Direhowl is more wolf than lycanroc
i just find it funny that alot of pokemon fans are upset over the "plagerisim" but won't bat an eye to all the fakemon nintendo stole and added to their game, also we not gona mention the dragon quest monsters they took too..? XD
They "stole" fan pokemons to add as real pokemons sounds kinda...eh Also with DQ, pokemon took them and made AN ENTIRELY DIFFRENT STUFF, while some pals looks like, well, pokemons (shape of body, hair, etc)
Yes it’s what a sheep looks like but so does Pokémon and if we’re judging by look alikes the Pokémon and the pal are a 10/10 cuz they look the same like a sheep
Tombat's DESIGN is pretty far from Gliscor but it's the ANIMATIONS and over all skeleton that makes him feel like a boot leg. If you play Tombat and Gliscor's idle animations side by side you'd see what I mean
People only compare palworld with pokemon not knowing they also took inspiration from cartoons and ghibli Like how can you not think of Tom the cat from tom and jerry when looking at TOMbat
