Should invest in a vapor blast cabinet Ben for cleaning engine parts they work miracles on aluminum

Why is the vacuum advance on side of distributor (Triumph) not got a small bore flexi hose fitted & linked to the inlet manufold young man😁 Worse, there may be an unconnected hose, allowing air into manifold, weakening your mixture = hotter running = holed piston omg😣 You could plug a wd40 straw into the black rubber 90 degree elbow connected to the vacuum advance, and with the dizzy cap removed, watch the points mounting plate move as you suck on the straw, to confirm it's operation!! Not watched allvideo, but if oil pressure dropped and not the leak, I think you would have heard the big ends rattle and bang. - update, watched video...looks like your lucky day wrt not seizing motor through no oil👍 Now, onto the Ferrari mystery car. We got a sneak preview of its faded red boot with the camera mounted on it during the winch discussions. I could also see its rear reflection in the Disco?/tow car rear door. Is that a black soft top? Short boot, quite square? Could it be an earlyTVR? They are very often non runners in people's garages, or seen on trailers etc.

Yeah, that wee sweet lil Panhard is a keeper. It's battered, it's beaten, it's rusty...but it's got bags of charm! :) The raffle idea is a good one. I recall that Josh Greeswell did a raffle on a barn find Sierra not long ago..which went well i believe.

This was worth watching just to see you getting the bonnet up on the Panhard. The Panhard would be my number 1, I loved seeing it at the car show and so enjoyed drawing it, it's a thing of beauty and makes a lovely farty noise.

If only I had somewhere to keep it, I’d love the Talbot. Benn a fan since I was a kid in the 50s. My uncle had one and I used to change gear for him, he loved that I was addicted to cars from my earliest days. Shame it doesn’t lock like it’s going to be featured it’s my favourite- along with Auntie Rover of course.

I use Rimmers they really are very good, getting them interested is a great score. I've just had delivered a boot rack for my Midget tonight, it effectively turns my car into a three seater but Mrs W isn't keen on using it as it doesn't have a seat belt.

Ah OK. I understand the Tasty Classics strategy. It resrurrects left-for-dead cars to join a fleet, a collection. Only the few cars that remain unloved as sold on. You treat cars like most of us treat clothes. Going somewhere posh? Wear the Disco. Doing a DIY project? Wear the F150. After work commute? Wear the Passat. Sunny day? Wear the Spitty. You are going to need bigger storage/wardrobe very soon.

Yes a raffle! 👍 how about another raffle after for a way to raise chash for your next car by raffling off a day at work with you on the show helping out somehow in some way or other. Sanding, cleaning, polishing, sweeping up, making the tea, whatever but 15 minutes of fame has to be worth a £10 each for the chance. 😊

I was thinking Ben, once you have free room and sold stuff how about turning a old Bedford van or similar into a burger van and set up a tasty burger or tasty classic burger business run by someone who knows the business? Very good Mark up on food if you get it right

If there was ptfe on the threads of anything to do with the oil, that’s most likely why it leaks. Oil will degrade ptfe pretty quickly, leaving gaps where the tape used to be. Use a product intended for the purpose. There are many. They’re usually red, leading to them being generally referred to as “red biddy”, where I live. You paint it on the threads, using the brush attached to the lid of the can, allow it to dry for a few minutes, then assemble.

I love the panhard, it's epic, I'm not sure I agree with buffing it though. A working fuel system and reservoir that doesn't leak and finish off the interior would get my vote. The P6 is turning out nice, lunar grey is the best colour for them but the P4 is definitely my preference too.

The P6 just looks fab - I actually like the fact that it's not the V8!! Okay, I'm weird... and would absolutely be up for a raffle of it. I think there's probably loads of small print regulations involved 😞 I've seen the channel "Not Economically Viable" do a couple of raffles.... go for it!!!
